I can't believe I willingly subjected myself to the (literal) pain that is sewing once again, but once I'd mentioned to someone that I'd like to turn my chibi ravenstag into a plushie, the thought just wouldn't leave me alone.

So, here we are, 2 days, countless pricked fingers and a lot of cursing later.

Probably would've had an easier time if I'd made it bigger, but I don't currently have the funds to buy new fabric and had to work with what scraps were left in my stash.

Is there a trick to getting more eyes on your art on Tumblr that I'm not aware of? Other than getting lucky and someone with a lot of followers reblogging your stuff, that is.

My last few posts felt rather like shouting into the void and I have no idea how to fix it.

Is it on my end? Am I somehow tagging wrong? Are my posts even showing up on people's feeds? Atp I'm questioning whether they even showed up for the few followers I have.

If it wasn't for the handful of notes I did get, I'd be wondering if I was shadowbanned.

I mean, hell, maybe my style just doesn't jive with the Tumblr crowd. Nothing I could really do about that. But I have no way to tell.

If it requires more social interaction unrelated to sharing my art, I guess I'm just shit out of luck, because I just don't have the mental or emotional bandwidth for that 😮‍💨

I wish my brain didn't get so hung up on outside validation, but it just feels a bit disheartening to overcome the anxiety of posting, only to be met with crickets.

I disfigure my art with unsightly censor bars? The post still gets restricted. I say fuck it and post it without? Within moments the post isn't just restricted, but gets hidden completely. I perfectly understand now why so many artists left this hellhole.

I've been on a kick replaying some of my favorite point&click adventures (Monkey Island 1 & 2, Day of the Tentacle, Conquest of the Longbow) and felt like playing around with pixel art again.

Also, the main plot of Handle with Care is finished and will be followed by a prequel that tells the story of how Will killed his abusive first owner and ended up in Alana's care.
