Manny Pac, Is He Taking The Easy Route??
Is Pac-Man taking the easy fights cause he can cause he's been there proved himself and doesn't have to answer to anybody?? Or has Jeff Horn caught Mannys eye through his very high knock percentage?? After the Jessie Vargas win every fighter worth his salt was calling out Pacquiao and many thought a 4th fight with Timothy Bradley was defiantly on the cards but no Manny chose a relatively unknown fighter in the shape of Jeff Horn, this had every one who thought they knew boxing scrambling to Boxrec to see who this fighter was and what they found there turned there worlds up side down. A fighter from the other side of the planet who has had 17 fights with 16 wins and one draw with 11 of them wins coming by way of knock out and none of the bouts are with household names, so why was Manny Pac fighting Horn?? It could be because he was a former Olympian or because he was WBO Inter-Continental champion and had been ordered to fight him?? Let's not put down Horn down however he is also the IBF Inter-Continental Champion and has cleaned up in his home country of Australia so he must be doing something right but if you still can't get your head around why Pacquiao decided to fight Horn then don't worry we are in the same boat especially when Pac was in negotiations to fight Khan then decided to take a fight which is to be staged in Brisbane. Whatever the reason I hope Manny has took the fight because he sees it as a test as Pac is a legend of the sport and I actually see this being a war, just got to find a place that's showing it on TV now.

Parker Has Choosen!!
We probably are all aware that Hughie Fury has pulled out of his world title fight with WBO Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker. Shock another Fury pulls out of a fight 😏down to injury they say but I don't think so, whatever the reason Team Fury have thrown away the biggest chance in Hughies career and basically burnt a big bunch of money. I don't buy that whole story either that Hughie was only fighting at 30% of his full potential in past fights because of his skin condition, he was pretty decent while fighting with that condition so I expect him in his next fight to be like a tall, gangly Mike Tyson. Anyway that's another story for another day. After Hughie pulled out Parker still set to fight in May and was ordered by the WBO to pick a opponent ranked in the top 15 of There rankings. The list is The up and coming of heavyweights and not like all the other governing bodies rankings which is all the established heavyweights you expected to be there. After scanning the list you start to see that only about 5 of the 15 are available to fight as the majority are either injured or already scheduled to fight:- Ranked 1 - Hughie Fury, original opponent who pulled out with injury. Ranked 2 - Christian Hammer, scheduled to fight Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf for the WBO European title on the 19th of May Ranked 3 - Jarrel Miller, Free but has hinted he has a fight lined up in a tweet he sent out this week. Ranked 4 - Andy Ruiz Jr who lost in his last fight against Parker for the WBO Title. Ranked 5 - Kubrat Pulev, Already scheduled to fight on the 28th of April against Kevin Johnson For the WBA Inter-Continental Championship. Ranked 6 - Dominic Breazeale, Free. Ranked 7 - Dillian Whyte, Schedule to fight on June the 3rd against against Mariusz Wach Ranked 8 - Tom Schwarz who just this month won the WBO Inter-Continental Title. Ranked 9 - Andriy Rudenko, Free Ranked 10 - Luis Ortiz, Hand Injury. Ranked 11 - Andrey Fedosov, Free. Ranked 12 - Agit Kabayel, Free. Ranked 13 - Kyotaro Fujimoto, scheduled to fight Herman Ene Purcell on the 8th of May for the OPBF Heavyweight Title. Ranked 14 - Razvan Cojanu, Free. Ranked 15 - Zhilei Zhang, scheduled to fight Mark Brown at the end of the month. I know what your thinking, I haven't heard of 75% of the fighters on that list and I wouldn't blame you, there not main stream names with great records but There fighters who the WBO sees potential in for going far in the sport. Well out of that list of fighters only 5 boxers are available and out of them 5 Parker and his team chose the lowest ranked available, Razvan Cojanu. Maybe because he was the lowest ranked so maybe the easiest fight or maybe the fighter willing to take the lowest amount of money and believe me any sum of money seems low compared to the Furys demands or maybe just cause he was the only fighter who would take the fight on such short notice we may never know. What we do know is that it is going to be a very easy night at the office for Parker come fight night. After the fight however there are much bigger fights on the horizon for Parker, Hughie is still a big option as he is the WBO mandatory or it could be Tony Bellew as they've been having a war of words over Twitter, well Bellews been going after every heavyweight since he demolished David Haye and announced himself on the heavyweight stage, then Theres Wilder who again hasn't just target Parker but every heavyweight with a belt, AJ v Klitschko is coming up this week so the winner of that is a option as a unification is desirable especially when there's no more wait classes to go up in and then finally last but not least is The Gypsy King, Big Tyson Fury who just loves to mess up anyone's day and with him back in training and scheduled to fight on the Billy Joe Saunders card in July it is a possibility. It's seems like the heavyweight world is Parkers oyster. Well that's That and I think we can all agree that come the 6th of May Parker Will still be WBO Heavyweight Champion Of The World!

If Billy Joe Saunders Unifies Does He Squander It Like Tyson Fury??
Thinking a lot about WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders and how he rapidly took the boxing world by storm and became WBO champion and then flat lined....... Will the same thing happen if he does fight and beat GGG, will he unify the middleweight division and then lose the desire and become inactive just like his close friend Tyson Fury? BJ's last fight in December against Akavov came a year after he won the WBO title against Andy Lee, in that space he looked like he had lost the fire with pictures of him very out of shape and in the Akavov fight we didn't know whether he had ring rust or lost the fire in his heart to fight. What ever it was it was not the performance we expect to see from a champion. With the fight against mandatory Khurtsidze who demolished Langford over the weekend scheduled for July we hoped to see BJ in a few more warm up fights to get his boxing brain and abilities back in shape but again the question is has he got the heart to get past Khurtsidze let alone GGG. GGG rumoured for the end of the year pending the result of his July outing will he be ready and if so and he wins which I hope he does cause he is a great fighter and a character out of the ring, I don't see him actively pursuing any defences, he comes across as having the attitude "Been there done that, got the belts and the money to show for it." Aswell it doesn't seem like Frank Warren has control of decisions or the influence to make the fights BJ wants. ANYWAY ENOUGH OF THE NEGATIVITY THESE ARE JUST OPINIONS, LONG LIVE BILLY JOE SAUNDERS & FRANK WARREN!!

Tumblr media
Is all the attention that AJ is giving to the media effecting training and preparation for the Klitschko?? This recent month has just be none stop build up to the most anticipated fight of the past few years and one has to wonder is all this media attention surrounding AJ going to hinder his training and preparation for the biggest test of his career. It seems like every 5 minutes AJ is giving a interview or giving someone a new car which makes you wonder has he even started training camp or is he just doing squats each morning in front of the tele to a 30 minute work out DVD?? All jokes aside however we understand media appearances build a fight but this is AJ v Klitschko the fight practically builds itself. Part of me feels AJ facing the biggest test of his career should have locked the doors to his training camp and knuckled down and Eddie Hearn as a promoter should have protected him instead of prancing him about in front of every camera possible. Let's hope he proves me wrong on fight night and I really hope he does.

Liam Smith v Liam Williams Rematch
THE REMATCH WILL HAPPEN!!
Well according to comments from Frank Warren and a single word tweet from Liam Smith which just simply said “September”.
Smith won the first fight against Williams after Williams corner pulled there man out of the fight mid fight due to a nasty cut around his eye. This decision caused uproar from the fans and Williams himself as both thought Williams was winning the fight early on with Smith only finding his feet and putting his game plan into effect in the second half of the fight. Williams in a after fight interview stated his unhappiness about the circumstances and thought he was odds on to win the fight which prompted the calls for a rematch which it looks like Smith has gladly agreed to. Smith is determined to put this to rest as he looks to chase and regain a world title.
All we know so far is that the rematch is going to be a war as which ever fighter wins will be on the road for a world title and put to bed who is the best super welterweight in Britain.
September is the rumoured date and for me personally I hope the fight is scheduled to take place in Liverpool as it seems big Frank has neglected putting a show on there this year.
