Corn: the food that comes out the way it looks going in. It's rather hard for our body to process, and has been at the center of fattening livestock (and people that can almost be considered livestock).
This tiny grey shrivelled thing is the ancestor of the modern yellow corn cob we have today. I got to thinking and realized that I've never seen "wild corn", and this somewhat explains it. It seems that no animals eat corn (wild corn) consistently as part of their natural diets, so we really only use it as a form of calorie dense energy.
I still refuse to give up corn on the cob but every time it comes out of me I wonder what those little yellow hoards are doing to my insides.

Adidas "Cuff" Shoes Cancelled Because Apparently Too Racist
Tumblr media
These Adidas Cuff shoes were supposed to come out by designer Jeremy Scott but were cancelled because they are apparently too racist.
Too racist?! What part of these are racist? Do they have tiny speakers that play WWII Nazi music or something? Yes shackles have been used in slavery I get that, but bananas have also been used as adult toys. Should we stop selling bananas in stores because some people can't get their shit together?
Controversy over sneakers = first world problems.

A plant was re-animated ("grown" for us simple folk) from plant materials buried for 30,000 years in permafrost. Although this plant isn't extinct and currently exists today, they have noted some minuscule changes in it's petals, roots, and structure. It's a snapshot of evolution that has occurred in this species in only the blink of an eye.
On a further note, the brilliant news anchor claims that Ice Age was a great documentary. I think she should be assigned to a post in Alaska where she has to collect seeds form bear poop and grow them into plants.

TeamBuy Sell Out Part 2: The Truth Exposed
So apparently TeamBuy didn't appreciate my honest questions on their deal page as to why they are allowing a sham company to sell overpriced products on their website.... The fact that they removed my post leads me to believe they know about this, don't care and just want money, or worst case scenario are the owners of NextGen Stylus.
This is the TeamBuy deal in question:
This magical pen is supposed to be worth $20 regular price, according my the folks at NextGen Stylus. And here is the same item from China for $3.90 (single item price, if ordering in bulk then expect prices around $1.00-$1.50 per pen):
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2-in-1-universal-capacitive-screen-stylus-ink-pen-71450
NextGen Stylus, the company promoting their item on TeamBuy's site, is a sham company that registered on Jan. 11, 2012 via www.enom.com
Enom Inc. is allegedly a rip off company with it's own issues: http://www.ripoffreport.com/internet-services/enom-inc-0001183199/enom-inc-0001183199-ripoff-d-a7md7.htm
Redflag #1 - domain registered 2 months ago and the site is dedicated to a single item. Why you might ask? Because you likely need a business number/website to be able to sell on these group buy websites to make the deal seem more legit.
But let's get back on track shall we?
A domain registration search gives us this information about www.nextgenstylus.com:
Domain name: NEXTGENSTYLUS.COM Registrant Contact: WhoisGuard WhoisGuard Protected () Fax: 11400 W. Olympic Blvd. Suite 200 Los Angeles, CA 90064 US
Fancy, ain't we?
Looks like a pretty penny to afford an office here. This building also plays host to other scams:

TeamBuy, you can suck it. Do your research, find good deals, and stop ripping people off.

TeamBuy shows us how to sell ourselves out
EDIT: Here is the exact same pen for $3.90 http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2-in-1-universal-capacitive-screen-stylus-ink-pen-71450
Not only is the group buying fad quickly fizzling out, but these sites are also resorting to putting up shitty deals to make a quick buck.
Exhibit A - TeamBuy (March 12, 2012)
Here we see a "deal" for a crappy ballpoint pen that functions as a stylus for iPad, iPhone, etc.
I'm going to point out the obvious first: this is a crappy product - people lose pens! Quite easily and all the time. If I can hang on to a pen for more than a week without someone "borrowing" it or dropping it then I deserve an Olympic gold medal. Why do you think offices order pens by the boatload? It's not because all the employees are practising for an inter-office pen finger spinning contest.
It's not a complicated formula for anyone to figure out.... order crap from China, quadruple the price then post it for a "75%" savings and sell at original price. Anyone idiot can do it so I don't blame the seller for making a quick buck. As you can see, at the time of posting, there were 157 idiots who bought this pen. If the seller makes a $4 profit on each pen after all expenses then they make a cool $628 for doing squat.
The blame falls directly on TeamBuy here. Group buys are not as popular as they once were so they are trying to turn quick profits by taking easy commission on these types of buys (not using the word deal here because there is none). They need to turn away these people because it's quickly degrading their image. Stick to real mom-and-pop deals, restaurants, trips, spas, etc.
Who wants to make a quick profit with me? I'm setting up a group buy on official TeamBuy pooper scoopers!
