“Good.” It was one of the things that had made Remy upset when she thought Brady was gone. She was upset in general, but knowing everyone was gone that she would have had there was also pretty bad. Seeing Brady and Effie talking was fun itself. Never did she think it would happen.

“Paris? That’s cool. I was staying in New Orleans before this,” Effie responded. Ok he wasn’t that bad. If Remy had trust in him than she could too. The welcome was something that made her smile. It had taken a bit to get adjust, but she felt like she had gotten into a routine just fine. “Thanks.”

“Your welcome,” he said with a nod. “You know, I’ve been to New Orleans once, just to eat all their food, but I keep goin’ to this one spot in the French Quarter that had the best po’boys I ever had but I couldn’t recreate it when I got home because I suck at cooking sometimes.” he said, remembering the po’boy like it was yesterday. “I would honestly like to go back one day just to have it again.”

“You’re always welcome here. Beside’s, I do still need my dad to walk me down the aisle for my wedding you know.” She smiled, the realization that perhaps that dream could really happen now still. She took a seat again and Effie came downstairs with a air of hesitation. Remy couldn’t blame her though. Patting the spot next to herself she waited for her to sit. “He’s been away for a bit otherwise I would have had him over sooner.”

“Oh, well hey that’s cool,” Effie responded as she went to sit down beside Remy. That was a surprise for sure then. She took Remy’s explanation, having assumed it had something to do with the previous town anyhow. “It’s nice to meet you, Brady.I’m Effie. Newest Wright member.”

“Of course I’ll come and walk you down the aisle for your wedding,” he promised her before looking up at Effie. “Yeah I’ve been in Paris lately but I’m gonna be around, jet back and forth to visit,” he explained with a chuckle. “Well it’s nice to meet you too, Effie, and welcome to the Wright family.”

“He’ll be home soon. We had some issues recently so he’s just patrolling the area to make sure no one unwanted is hanging around,” Remy explained. “I’ll take plenty of visits. I can’t travel for a while but when we all can again we can come see you guys.” It’d be a nice little trip, but that’d be a while down the road. “She’s upstairs. Hold on.” Remy held up a finger as she said it before she went to the stairs. Only two up she shouted for Effie to come downstairs for a minute.

There had been so many people in and out of the house lately that Effie was more into staying in her room. She wasn’t nervous, but she also wasn’t going to get in the way. Hearing Remy she put down her book and headed down, stopping shy on the last stair as she saw someone new. Lucy didn’t seem to mind so can’t be all that bad. “Uh, hey,” she greeted as she entered the living room.

“Then I guess I need to clear out my schedule so I can come and visit,” Brady joked, understanding about Remy not being able to travel for a while. “I’d like that,” he told her as he got quiet when Remy held up a finger for him to hold on and to call her down. He waited till Effie came down and once again, he got quiet before he finally spoke. ‘Hey there-name’s Brady, Brady Blackwood. I’m your mama’s dad.”

What makes you the most emotional about your muse? -Anything with Remy and meeting Lucy and Effie, along with being with Matilda is the most emotional about playing Brady. Because he can’t believe that his adopted daughter is now a mom and that finally he finally found love and peace for once.

What made you decide to write this muse? - I got irritated one day because I wanted to play someone different. Sure I had Mercedes, but I’ve always wanted to play someone completely different than anyone else. Before he was Brady Blackwood, his name was once Spike, but then that didn’t fit him and then his other name-Brandon Rutherford-came after looking at names from a name generator, Brandon Rutherford came to be, a southern vampire who was once a hunter named Brady Blackwood. Also I’ve always wanted to name a character Brady. 

If you could change one event in your muse’s life (in their main or canon verse), what would you change? -Nothing, really. I’ve always loved how he is, but I’ve always wanted Brady to go up against his vampire brothers and sisters that wants revenge on him for killing his sire all those years ago.

If you could tell your muse one thing, what would you tell them? -Be present in this moment and don’t try to fuck it up. Also thank your prayers that Damien isn’t around so you can try and kill him, just leave him alone and life your life and happiness with Matilda and see your daughter and grandkids when you can.

If you could give your muse one gift, what would you give them? -His own truck, if I had the money

If you had to take one positive thing away from your muse, what would you take away? -Fuck what other people say and just be yourself.

If you could “borrow” one aspect of your muse and apply it to yourself or your own life, what would you borrow? - His journey from being a badass hunter to a vampire who found love and family-that’s pretty damn awesome to go through

Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life? -He already is happy and I don’t think anything else would make him most happy-maybe having a child but he knows he can’t have any.

Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most? -Yes...yes I do. I do a lot. What would break Brady’s heart..if something happens to his family and friends and he couldn’t save them

What do you love about your muse? - I love that he’s not afraid to be different-anyone who meets him calls him a gentle giant

What do you hate about your muse? - I hate how Brady is almost a dick sometimes, though he don’t show it, to people he dislikes. He always wishes someone bad luck or threaten to do some harm on them.

What about your muse amuses you? -When he meets Remy’s kids because he doesn't know what the heck to say or what do to-it cracks me up

What about your muse makes you sad? -That he can be a sneaky-ass bastard when he wanna be

How would you describe your muse to someone about to meet them, in person, for the first time?  - He’s a gentle giant who has a deep southern voice and you’ll love him so much

Would you like your muse as a person if you met them in real life? -Yes-he’ll turn out to be like my daddy (whom I based him off of, actually)

In what ways are you better than your muse? In what ways are they better than you? - I sometimes curse and I don’t drink too much like he does, and also I don’t go outside that much like he does-basically Brady’s better than me, but what makes me better than him is that I can take on challenges and find a way to solve them.

Why do you think you connect to your muse? -I think I connect to Brady because I’m rough around the edges sometimes but I’m also the sweetest thing ever. 

What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not? -The most important aspect of Brady’s personality is how he takes care of people like they’re his own and the most important personality that’s important to Brady is his kindness and being around other people and make the feel almost at home around him.

Lucy is from Ashbourne and Effie was taken in by a friend of Seth’s but she vanished so we chose to adopt her instead.”

“I will thank him when I see him,” Brady said with a chuckle. “Well I might be if I talked to Matilda, but she loves Paris so much that she wants to stay.” he told her as he listened to her. “Really? I’d like to meet Effie one day-or is she around?”

Brady smiled softly as he looked over to see Matilda sleeping next to him, feeling both happy and glad to see her next to him instead of an empty side, a cold bed with no one there to look at. From staring into her beautiful face into the night, were the night of Paris was outside their window, including the Effiel Tower all lit up at night, was the highlight of his night, each and every time. Just thinking about it made him slip out of bed and quietly went to the kitchen, placing a small kiss on Matilda’s palm before he left, taking one last look at her. 

Fixing himself a glass of whiskey, he grabbed a notebook and stared at for a while, not knowing what to write for a split second before he started to write. 

Dear Old Me,

Been a while, hasn’t it? From Virginia to Canada to Paris, my-our-life has changed. And for once, I’m not thinking about her, Elizabeth, the woman we married in our lifetime, and ended up turned by the man that did this to us. Instead, I’m thinking about Matilda, who’s sleepin’ right now in bed, dreamin’ those beautiful dreams that I want to give her, those clouds I want to pull down and let her feel and taste, hell, I even want to marry her and bulid a life with her. 

Now if this was the old me, the hard-ass hunter who was turned into a vampire, didn’t give a shit about anything but huntin’ down the man that turned us and killed us, who thought his life would’ve been better with Elizabeth in it would laugh real hard at the thought of bein’ in a foreign country with a beautiful woman, especially when the beautiful woman in your bed is the sister of the man you hate so much. 

And my daughter, Remy-my beautiful adopted daughter Remy, who got kids of her own and one is on the way with Seth, she’s doin’ well too. We’re talkin’ again so that’s good, even met Lucy and she’s the luckiest little girl in the world right now, havin’ the both of them as parents. Sometimes I wish I can have one of my own, but I love Remy to death, and glad Seth’s treatin’ her right. 

See, you’re gonna laugh at that too, about Remy being my daughter and all.But then, you’ll laugh at anything, even hate the fact that I go to those “snooty parties” where I have to dress up in a suit and be around other people. In fact, you’d find a way to get out of it-hell, might actually get so drunk that you’d get kicked out of it because you hated it. 

But you can’t be here now. Not once, not ever.

You belong in the backwoods of Virginia, fixin’ up the shine and sellin’ it-which I’m doin’ anyway. Who would’ve thought people in Paris like moonshine?-and killing the monsters in Canada and pissin’ people off-that’s where you belong. I belong here, with Matilda in our world now. 

I don’t want you comin’ back and screwin’ up again. This is our life now and I’m happy-very happy.

Staring at the letter to himself one more time, he sighed, drained his glass, and went back to bed.

“I wasn’t myself. I was so far from being myself it wasn’t funny. I didn’t mean any of that, I promise,” Remy assured. Lucy was curious but still coloring; not sure if she should say anything just yet. Remy kissed the top of her head in reassurance before she sat down beside Brady. “You’re my dad. As close as to one as I have and I’m always going to want you around. The families growing too. This is Lucy-” She nodded at her and she mustered up a smile and a wave now that she was warming up to visitors. “-and Effie is upstairs.”

“Well I’m glad you’re better now,” Brady told her with a smile, glad she was feeling much better now, back to the Remy he knew and love. “I’m still gonna be your dad and I’m sticking around so you get to see more of me.” He turned to Lucy and smiled back and got confused for a moment. “Effie?” he repeated, looking back up at her.
