I’ll admit it. This season Ava and Deborah’s being at each other’s throats has been wearing on me. I don’t feel like we’ve seen enough of how they are working together despite the hostilities.

One of my (many) favourite things about this fight between Moiraine and Lanfear is that Lanfear could have easily killed Moiraine while she was still pulling that sword out of her gut but she is so surprised and fascinated by what's happening that she simply stands there and watches. She knows all about the One Power and True Power, but this is something beyond her knowledge and understanding. She's like: "Are you...are you actually doing that? How?!"

Yes, she could have killed Moiraine but she wanted to see if Moiraine could actually pull that sword out and she absolutely did not believe that she could.
