OOC: Rewatching Bravely Default's cutscenes where Edea + Kamiizumi talk pre-battle and it's still so sad how, due to a lack of mutual miscommunication between them (both intentionally and unintentionally so before the pre-battle convo and during), it ends up with Edea killing Kamiizumi.

It also makes me wonder if Kamiizumi ever intended on telling Edea about all of what he was involved in with the Eisen Civil War and either he decided to keep it confidential or was instructed by Braev to not share anything. After all, it wasn't like the civil war was new, it had been going on for four years by the current events of Default.

Granted, pretty much the entirety of the Duchy's actually bad actions were shielded from Edea's knowledge to an extent until the current events of Default, but still.

Makes you wonder how things might've gone if Edea already knew that what the duchy was doing was morally dubious to evil pre-Default, and just pretended that she didn't know anything up until the current events of Default. Or if Kamiizumi had told her sooner that he was involved in some deeply terrible events (because let's be honest, Edea's father Braev is even worse at communicating this sort of thing to Edea in the first time loop, and Kamiizumi I think would've been more honest about it and owned up to it if seriously asked).
