Henlo I have listened to "I know I'm a wolf" by Young Heritics and I am VIBRATING with excitement at the creative potential for this song (in relation to Jack/Tony, maybe even other characters). but first I would LOVE to hear your interpretation of it 👀

There’s actually an animatic up on YouTube somewhere of an actual wolf and rabbit for this song, and I came across it when I was still a painfully awkward Warrior Cats kid and it was like, foundational to me? I’m deeply fond of it

Anyway I LOVE the dynamic where two characters being together is an inherent conflict of interest- it works really well with Jantonio specifically imo, esp with Tony’s affiliation with the Liskov Institute and his reluctance to kill Jack despite being under direct orders. I really like the ‘wolf’ character having filed down claws and a very controlled attitude, but that not changing the fact that they are still lethal by nature. It‘s a song about not wanting to cause a loved one pain, but still doing so by accident. There’s ways this can go fine- Legoshi and Haru from Beastars is a hyper-literal example- but sometimes the damage is already done and just can’t be rectified.

And my gut always steers me towards Jack and Spencer, because dogboy Spencer Middleton and all, but I think I do prefer how Jack and Antonio fit
