I always thought I really like drawing with pencil. Well, fabric study on 100x70cm proved me wrong

I did some work on the latest piece

also I spent few hours on animating and didn't get anything done so yeah, I'm kinda angry at myself for wasting time oops

I was drawing still life with charcoal! I realized I have almost no still life pieces on B1 format so....

I literally didn't take any picture of it from my angle and I'm so mad at myself for it

Day 112, 13.03.2025

I got very little sleep but fucking did it!!

I redrew the initial sketch, changing the style completely because it was too complicated

now it's all clean and clear, everything planned out properly :))

then I printed it out and cut out every layer, so the planning process is officially over..... maybe

i'm not sure how important it is for me so dunno how much effort should I put in, I'll finish it up when I have time

I wanted to make an entire project today, in the end i got stuck on the sketching part and felt like shit so I almost gave up

BUT then motivation hit again so while I was waiting for my train I got myself together and sketched it all out on my tablet

that's the general idea, people on a train/tram, cut out of paper on different layers, making something like this

I'll try to finish it until friday or saturday, if I make it good enough I can squeeze it into my portfolio so it'll be worth it (I hope)

Days 110&111, 11-12.03.2025

I finished my paper dolls!

that's gonna be quite an experience cutting them all out, then putting back together

oh and i added finishing touches on one charcoal drawing but didn't take any pics

Day 109, 10.03.2025

I tried animating on paper, after 4 sheets I started getting sloppy and confused, I really have to practice this one

also get a proper setup cuz with sheets flying around and moving whenever and wherever they wish to is making it not only harder but just straight up annoying

so when I put it together I got this

went for something quick and simple, than i could do in an hour, so i did a head turn!

yea, I also have to put my phone on some stand when I take the pics

also I did some reverse storyboarding, i guess. I wanted to analyze how is simple dialogue filmed in a way that's easy and effective

I used a clip from.... "devil wears Prada"??? I think thats the name

This day was pretty busy, the university I wanna go to had an open day so obviously, I had to go.

Damn, it's so awesome in there. I really cannot not get in. I can't waste another year of my life only thinking and dreaming about it. ugh!!!

Day 106, 07.03.2025

Still life! the topic was abstract painting but I don't even know how could I make it abstract so I just had fun with it

I noticed it kinda looks like some landscape with setting sun or the moon or something so I tried to make it look landscapy in a way

didn't really come out right though, I wanted to add some fog but it didn't work out too well

fun experience tho :) well, my back hurts like hell so I had to take breaks really often but it be like that sometimes

holy fuck today I promised myself finishing a drawing no matter how much of a pain in the ass it'll be (because I have too many wips laying around my room) and I did it!

it took me 5 hours and currently it's 4 hours past my usual bedtime but I'm proud of myself

Painting update!

Also I wanted to make a movie poster design but couldn't decide on which movie I wanna do soooooo in the end I went for this netflix series called Midnight Mass that I watched few months back and found really cool

here's sketch of the general idea, I kinda like it so I might render it some time in the future

oh and I started making paper dolls! I wanted to do characters from this uhhhhhhh fairytale..... that I don't remember name of??? well, one of them for sure. so here's the first one, mr donkey! :)

I dunno how useful it'll be for the portfolio I'm trying to complete but it's at least something
