powder dip nails

I have always had really strong natural nails, so I’ve only ever gotten gel manicures. I never wanted to put acrylic on in fear that it would weaken my nails. The past few months however have been a particularly stressful time in my life causing my nails to peel and break easily. I had a conversation with my nail lady and she suggested powder dip nails. I had never heard of these before, but was willing to try anything! 

It’s basically half the thickness of acrylic and is applied by dipping your nails in a powder of your desired color in between coats of clear polish. This has been the best find for my nails! They are stronger, don’t peel like gel and last almost a month!

THE backpack for summer

I’m a full time nanny over the summer, so I always start looking around the month of may for the best bag to carry. I was at Nordstrom a few weeks ago ironically with one of the kids I nanny for, Charlotte. We were wandering the purse section when I saw this Rebecca Minkoff backpack. I was hesitant at first because I thought it was leather, as most of her bags are, but I picked it up to find that it was nylon! Perfect for summer because it can get dirty or wet and will wipe off clean. It is also a great size for carrying essentials for outings with the kids.

the art house gilbert

The town of Gilbert is steadily growing and with that comes the opening of new restaurants and small businesses. The Art House has only been open for a few months, but has been the talk of the town, so my best friend Emilee and I decided to try it out! It’s an instructor led painting venue. They feature modern art designs, unlike any other painting business. There is also a drink bar with the cutest alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It was such a fun girls night out with my best friend!
