GENERALLY SPEAKING, YES, I'D SAY HE IS! I think part of the reason being that he often forgets most of the details of his dreams, and therefore, the things he witnesses in other worlds once he leaves them, which is both a blessing and a curse in the end. But if it keeps him from being too heavily traumatized, it's probably helpful?

     A disappointed click of the tongue when their tripping doesn’t work. But it’s okay; Yuck still has the upper hand and they know it, so for once keeping their temper in check is not the monumental task it usually would be. When the other reaches for the ring, keeping it away from him once more it child’s play.

     Now with more distance between them, Yuck grins cockily as they inspect their new prize between their fingers – its shiny surface already becoming duller with the grease and grime coating their fur. Not that Yuck cars about that – but the other probably does.

     “ Normally, I wouldn’t even care. Jewelry��s always about flauntin’ money or beauty – and I couldn’t care less about either of those. “

     Then, they throw the ring in the air and catch it into the palm of their hand, away from the other’s view as their grin widens.

     “ But power? Magical power? Now THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about. “ A condescending tilt of their head as they slowly close the distance between them. “ How about you tell me more about that? I won’t even beat the snot out of you since I’m in a good mood – and you’ll want to keep it that way. “

      KLONOA PURSES HIS LIPS INTO A FROWN, growing dreadfully silent following the not-rabbit’s words. Not that he felt any more intimidated than he already was ( which, even if he were, that wouldn’t have stopped him from acting, ) but the boy was clearly thinking. Not on what to say exactly, but how to get that RING back. It’s emerald was dull and lifeless, though it still clearly must have emanated power. Even if they got away with it, YUCK would have to figure out how to make it work.

        And making it work was a bit of a puzzle, indeed. Even KLONOA didn’t quite understand how it functioned. But, it was becoming clear to him what he’d have to do -- he’d have to lie. Play it cool, act like you don’t know what he’s talking about! Klonoa didn’t like lying to clear obstacles, but it seemed like in this case, he’d have no other choice!

        “ What do you mean, ‘MAGICAL POWER!’ the ring doesn’t have any magical power! ” So why act like it was so important, then? He could say it was a relative’s, which isn’t untrue. “ I-it was my dad’s, so quit it, and give it back! ”

         Once again, Yuck’s threats had gone through one ear and out the other.

THIS KID SHOULD BE PROUD OF HIMSELF FOR SAVING THE WORLD more than once, but the problem is he doesn't remember all the nitty gritty details once he departs from said world. Instead, Klonoa's just proud of himself that he can do a double jump and wack monsters with his trusty WIND RING.

IS MY MUSE MORE IDEALISTIC OR SYNICAL?

LORD, HE IS DEFINITELY MORE IDEALISTIC. Klonoa might be level-headed in temper, but don't let that fool you; he has an untested optimism and enthusiasm for the world around him, which is part of the reason why it's very hard for Klonoa to become hopeless and give up. In the same vein, he doesn't really take the cynical approach to things. The only exception is towards people who have made it clear to him that they aren't trustworthy, ie. Joka and Tat.

HONESTLY, IF HE COULD HE WOULD HAVE IT SO HE COULD SEE THE FRIENDS HE'S MADE IN A HEARTBEAT. It's the most bittersweet thing about his job, even if he doesn't quite understand it yet; no matter how many worlds he visits, Klonoa must inevitably leave and therefore, leave behind the friends he has made there in the process. Even though he doesn't quite understand yet that his dreams are more than just, well, actual dreams, the particular event that separated him from Huepow was still devastating for him. Imagine believing that you belong somewhere only to learn all along that your very presence is a lie after everything you've done for the friends you thought you had. That's a major ooph.
