just know, every time i see someone say that "patrick gibson isn't my nikolai" i will laugh and ignore you. this man is absolutely perfect for the role and is going to tear our hearts out.

and if you come at me telling me about the tweets he posted 11 YEARS AGO, which were only digged up not because people care but because they just don't think he's attractive enough to be nikolai, i will kindly remind you that people change and grow and he has probably worked on himself to be better. if the only reason you bring up what he did because you don't want him to play nikolai, you are the one in the wrong.

the grishaverse is a series about growth and acceptance, do not bash this man before seeing his acting and getting to know him as we've come to know the rest of the cast. this is exactly the kind of bullying people did to freddy carter and danielle galligan when they were cast and i hope those people find themselves ridiculous.

patrick gibson is my nikolai and i'm so excited for season 2! the new cast members are absolutely perfect and they do not deserve the bullying.

Currently having conflicted feelings and had to weigh in on the whole Paddy Gibson debate.

What he said was not okay obviously. But if I went back ten years in my social media, (which ironically puts me at 15/16) I would have thoughtless things said that I would be ashamed of today. I have hope that Paddy will address this, but in all honesty, if you had to go back ten years to him being a hormone driven teenager with his brain still developing (cause mine sure was at 16) to find SOMETHING to hold against him, that says more about you than it does about him. I’ve never seen him act in anything. When he was cast I kinda tilted my head and went “huh? Really?” But I trust the casting directors, as well as the rest of the cast. Give him a chance. Let him show that he has evolved. If he proves that he hasn’t, then I will grab my pitchfork and torch and join you.

Reasons why Tumblr is way better than any other social media-

Tumblr: What they said is an awful thing, shouldn't be excused but I think they deserve a chance to explain themselves, I am sure they are a changed person now, an apology will be good.

Twitter/Instagram: Cancel them, they are still as pathetic as they were in the past, throw them out, they don't a deserve chance at all.
