I feel like if any of us had come up with an OC who is the Handler's daughter and a badass assassin with the power to use everybody else's powers & then she falls in a relationship with not one but two of the main characters, people would've called it mary sue wish fulfilment.

the correct thing for Ben to have been doing for those six years would've been some sort of arctic expedition, just like his lovecraftian forefathers intended. no idea how he'd get to that but then again how'd he scam people on the internet if they're all using rotary phones

I always like to think baby Viktor was helping Grace and Pogo in the infirmary because like...if my family was constantly going on superhero missions I'd wanna at least be able to know how to do stitches lmao. also what if more than one of them need medical attention at the same time? it just makes sense. but anyway since Pogo's an actual respected doctor and Grace has every ounce of medical knowledge downloaded into her head I think it'd be really funny if Viktor just like fully has had a med degree since he was a child. like he had great teachers. he just doesn't work as a practicing physician as an adult bc he genuinely doesn't care for it like he has no passion for medicine he's just very pro Siblings Not Dying. and much love to the rest of the family but they were not skilled at paying attention to him as kids so they just fully don't know. rn I'm laughing imagining a scene where Diego is convinced his appendix has burst and Viktor is like "you haven't had an appendix since we were 9 calm down" and Diego is like why would you even remember that weirdo!!!
"??? It was the first solo surgery Mom let me do how could I possibly forget"
"...WHAT?!"

How Five feels about his siblings is rather complex.
As a kid, he was made to compete against most of them in s highly abusive household. Mutual feelings of superiority, inferiority, jealously, belittlement existed and it's all too easy to say 'he loved them underneath it all' but what is love? Do you love your random classmate bully who you are always compared to? Who might be on the same team as you in a football match and you might look out for each other but then the teacher would reveal the man of the match while ridiculing the others and you will have to shut up and take it. You just saved the very same guy from falling flat on his face and the silent gratitude in his eyes is slowly turning into a sense of pride and superiority due to the praise. He isn't giving you any credit. Now if your teacher makes you call each other siblings, how much would change? What does it matter what you call each other if at the end of the day, you aren't taught to love but to compete.
Now, the situation gets even more complex as you are isolated from the rest of the world and the same source of your envy is one of the only human companion you have. You can talk to them, fight with them, plan mischiefs with them, form little groups to come and target the classmate who pissed you off the most that week but the 7 of you are all you have. As much as you deny it, at a base level you can in fact relate to them, understand them, as much as they might backstab you and as good as it may feel to see them getting scolded, you haven't forgotten that they helped you and you haven't forgotten what it's like to be on the other side, something that fuels you to both enjoy this and to empathize with them. You also don't really like when they get too sad, it's only fun if they are seething but them being completely heartbroken over it is too much to bear.
Now, you run away. At 13. Reach a world that has already ended. Get stuck. You are alone, isolated, everyone else is dead. You decide that this is not the end. You decide to keep going, to fix everything; it was partly your fault this happened after all, if only you hadn't left, if only you had listened. But it's alright, you have your powers, you have your equations and even though they are temporarily malfunctioning, they will be back for you and you'll use them to remake the world, in a way that would make it so it never ended at all. But it's tough, it's more that tough, it's horrible, you can't but you have to. The tattooed corpses are too much, you need them up and about, you need them to fight, to argue, to have your "i did it, i was right" moment because what does any of it matter when your whole world, the one that was mostly confined inside those four walls, is gone. So you'll go on but you need something to hold onto. You need a reminder about why you are still going. Saving the world is too grand a concept, it's an ideal and when going gets too tough most ideals are easily abandoned, personal desires remain. So you remember your old life, your siblings and you hold those limited memories very close to your heart for what feels like a limitless life. You collect everything you can about them - magazine interviews, newspaper clippings, an autobiography because you can't forget, you need this, you'll need to think of the sound of the violin the next time the suicidal voice in your head gets too loud. You will need to have people you can attach behaviours to the next time you read a novel or it might feel too detached, too unreal, too detached. People don't exist anymore, the story is nothing but an illusion if the people in your mind cease to exist too. You have imaginary conversations with them.
And you miss them, God you miss them. You decide that you would have missed them even if you were in a better place. So you keep pushing for them, for yourself, because you have decided that you will, you have decided that you have to. And soon you are over half a century old. With what conviction can you claim you don't love them? With what conviction can you claim you do? How much do you know them? What memories has your brain forgotten, made up, bastardised, mixed up with the novels you read, with your dreams? Which accounts of them were real, which were paparazzi bullshit. You don't know. How much do you love them as people and how much do you love them as a concept? You don't know. You know one thing - that you want your family safe. And that is enough, it has to be enough. It has been enough for decades before, it will be enough for decades more.

After the travesty that was Umbrella Academy 4 I’ve noticed tragically we barely saw Diego and Lila interact with their kids even to the point we don’t know the twins names so I’ve decided the girl and boys name are little Pogo and little The Handler.

it’s angst over ben and sloane oclock!! imagine your whole family, all you’ve ever known and cared about are dead except for your sister who you’ve never been close with because she’s so different than you but you love her still. and now more than ever you need her and she’s all the sudden leaving you for another family that hates you and apparently she never liked being apart of your family and couldn’t wait to get out, get away from you. and you’re so alone and she’s all you’ve ever known and turns out she knows you better than you do and she reads you like a book, displaying your biggest fears to yourself and maybe, just maybe, convincing you you could be apart of this new family too. and then she’s gone too. just like everyone else. and you’re alone.

it would have been CHEESY as all hell, but- I think I would've liked the group suicide ending a lot better if, instead of standing there slowly waiting to get absorbed, they went out dancing. like they're all upset and scared and as a callback to season 1, Luther puts on some music to try and make them feel better. or, fuck, Viktor starts playing the violin. and they're obviously still upset and crying but they're letting themselves feel a little joy at the end, dancing together with their family. it also would've been a gut-punch bc everyone was waiting for a siblings dance break all season. instead of just standing there going 'I'll miss you guys' until they get absorbed they just...vibe and dance out of existence. I think it would've been more fitting.

In s1, Five tells Allison he wants to live long enough to meet Claire.
In s4, Five and Claire never interact.
This is the most consistent show of all time, WOW!
