I know that a lot of people tried to defend her by saying that she was simply quoting song lyrics but they are not really seeing the problem here. This is the same as saying “it is simply a hairstyle” (referring to Kylie Jenner’s cornrows). The fact is that the problem is not with the lyrics or the hairstyle, it is more than that, it is the history behind it. And for the many that try to ignore the truth well they need to learn the history. The problem with this caption is that a white person is stealing from black culture and making the feature look  “cool” or “beautiful”. Where as a black women would not be praised for this. Black women have always been made to feel ashamed of their curves and big lips and hair where as now white women are admired for these types of looks. It’s 2016 and people still can't accept interracial relationships. When I first saw this post on twitter I couldn't believe the comments that people had written. They were acting as if this was their first time seeing an interracial relationship. There are a lot of ignorant people who just simply cannot accept the fact that these relationships exist. People act like these relationships are dangerous or harmful, like they are a threat.  It’s the 21st century and these hateful comments are proof that racism still exists.

Meet The Trans Student Who Is Fighting For Bathroom Access In Florida Nate Quinn is a brave young man for standing up for what he believes. Although he has gone through difficult times in his life where he was bullied and rejected for what he identifies himself, he overcame it all even when he thought about commuting suicide. All he wants is to be able to have bathroom access by using the one he identifies himself with. I'am shocked to see that many find this an issue in which they feel threatened. I understand that many are concerned that this change, by allowing trans access to bathrooms of their choosing, would allow others whom are straight to take advantage of this opportunity, as this was one of the concerns brought up in this article. But we can't always be thinking of the "what if.." , we must remember that we are all equal, with that being said, we need to trust that we each know which restroom is right for us. -Brenda Agustin @osuwgss235
