Libulan

God of Moon and God Patron of Homosexuality

I am about to join a writing contest which requires us to have mythological beings from the Philippines. I just learned about this god and this is how I envision him. I drew him the sun, moon and stars on his shoulder to represent his siblings that seem to always die in all his origins. The hand looking one across his chest represent the love between him and the god of death: Sidapa. The genre for the contest is romance which is my weakness but I'll try. If you have time please read a short summary of what my story is about and let me know your thoughs (:

In my version of the story, Libulan and Sidapa are no longer together. He [Libulan] learned that Sidapa was the reason for the death of all his siblings. So he left him behind and never made contact with the god of death again. Every three years, Libulan would come down from the moon to earth and watch the lunar eclipse. Usually he would arrive several hours before the event so he would then meditate silently in the middle of a forest. This year though, he decided that he would visit a nearby village and see what the people are up to. While listening on the elders' storytelling about his origins, a wandering man stumbles his way towards Libulan and sees him in all his "godly grace". In order to keep the man quiet about the god of moon being there, Libulan proposed that he would grant him one wish. The man wishes that he would come with him to his home because he believes that having a god in his household would give him luck. While they're together a number of engkantos and aswangs (ghosts and demons in Philippines) try to ruin and sometimes outright kill the two.
