Most of us, I think, are fortunate enough to have a friend to call on when we need a hand. Whether it is to borrow some time on a piece of equipment, or help our team get some production out, Gabe Aucott has been that kind of guy for me. I was saddened to learn this past weekend that Gabe just had a serious accident working on his house. He fell off the roof and broke his back. Forget tracing and sawing out every slat for a ladder back chair, we use this plexiglass jig on walnut. It uses a small brass finger mounted under the guides that protrudes past the blade 0.030" or so. This is what guides the cut against the plexi. At that tolerance, the approach angle is critical as to not cut the pattern. Wanna see how we do things here in the shop?
