So, I am supposed to make an intro post thing? I dunno, see other people doing it soooooo… why not?
Heyo, I’m brian, gender-fluid queer not knowing that the hell is going on 99% of the time and tend to just make it work. I am an avid gamer, love FPS games and starting to get back into GTA and Minecraft after taking a hiatus for a while. Used to run MC servers for YouTubers back in 2013/2014 or so (don’t remember the exact year, been a while) and was the community manager for one YouTuber.
Now a days though I am a software engineer (specializing in the devops side) by day, and starting to finally be pushed to dip my toes into the Kubernetes side of things. No, I’m not excited. Programming wise I use PHP (primarily Laravel) along with VueJS. Been a dev professional for over a decade now.
Other than that, I have an old big choice claw machine from the 80s I’m trying to repair/restore the best I can.

It's nice seeing the reddit users realize they can relax here. The danger on reddit is trying to guard against a broader community of annoying pedants. But understand that here, the danger is trying to guard against Wandering Savants.
If you fuck up on reddit, you get 1000 people correcting your grammar or w/e. If you fuck up here, you get one really smart weirdo writing a 10,000 word essay intricately disassembling your post with sources.

Well, my first real post. Slowly migrating from Twitter (which I barely used), and Reddit (which I just browsed).
I can tell you with this one post, I’ve already accomplished more than I ever did with Reddit.
Thanks tumblr.

I think it's important to tell reddit refugees that the reason Tumblr has blue (and rainbow) checkmarks is not popularity, but just to make fun of twitter. You can have them too if you want, they don't do nor mean anything, they won't make you more visible, they will just show up next to your url in pretty colors.
The only way to be popular is either posting or rebloging cool stuff. Likes don't do much besides telling the author of the post "hey I like this". Nobody can see how many followers you have, your side accounts or anything that doesn't show up in your blog. People can see who you follow or what you recently liked, but there's an option in the settings to hide that info (unlike twitter, that seems to love subjecting people to public ridicule).
Btw, once or twice a year you'll find a skeleton gif or apple pizza post fucking up your dash. This is normal, we break this site for sport. We encourage you to do it too.
Enjoy your music frogs.
