This line will never fail to gut me because I am cursed with the Lore

No but the wordplay (assuming it’s intentional), like he’s singing about slowly drifting away from his friends and wife as he invests more and more time into his work, and then as a reward for his work he gets his own “limited company” (i.e.: Ltd) but also, limited company (i.e.: companionship) as his relationships fall apart. That’s my interpretation anyway, it took a while to hit me, lol

“I can serenade and gently play on your heartstrings”—Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy

Again with the hopefully intentional wordplay, I love how the word “heartstrings” is being used in relation to the “playing.” I don’t think zeugma is the right word for it…I suppose it’s a double entendre just with a non-risqué other meaning. Playing with the other guy’s heartstrings in the metaphorical/colloquial sense but also as if the heartstrings were themselves an instrument. Ohhh I love it

A working track list in the hand of John Deacon in blue and black ballpoint pen for Queen’s 1974 album ‘Sheer Heart Attack’. John has written out a list of 16 tracks which at the time were penned in to be on the album and also a suggested B-side for a single to released with it, he has also indication the initial(s) of which band member wrote each song. The track list and other items were previously sold as part of lot 136 from the Freddie Mercury: A World Of His Own, On Stage sale held at Sotheby's, New Bond Street, London on the 7th September.
