For the past three years I've been working on this web series, Distant Falls, and I'm so happy that the first episode, "Eggs", is live now on its YouTube channel!
Distant Falls was filmed during lockdown. I wrote and directed it, and performed it with a bunch of my improv and theater friends. It's a comedy soap opera about the intrigues of seven people in a mid-sized city where everyone communicates over video calls, even when they don't have to, for some never-mentioned reason.
I'm awfully proud of it - please take a look and let me know what you think!

I wrote a sketch about what a stereotypical gay man I am for 15 Minutes Away's November live show. It was my birthday show so I had to bring the gay. Enjoy!

I used to write for Geeks Out, a queer comics/fandom site, but a few years ago all my articles were mysteriously deleted. So I've been slowly reposting my favorites on my own blog, to preserve them for posterity. (More than they deserve, honestly.)
Anyways, please enjoy my excruciatingly close look at Marvel Comics' 1986 inadvertently homoerotic masterpiece, Steelgrip Starkey and the All-Purpose Power Tool!

Here's another new sketch I wrote, from 15 Minutes Away's October live show in NYC. It's a parody of Agatha Christie-style mysteries, and it's also a loose adaptation of the first chapter of my book Night of the Living Date. Reduce, reuse, recycle!
I like writing sketches and plays with large casts, so I was happy to be able to write something for all the actors in that month's show, and (hopefully) give them all something fun to do.
It's a very silly sketch. Please enjoy!

It's another comedy sketch from my team 15 Minutes Away! I wrote this one, and I'm in it, along with Kevin Delano and Ann Marie Yoo. I was inspired by some YouTube workout videos I tried (and failed) during lockdown. Rehearsing it almost killed me, so please enjoy!
And if you'd like to see us live, you've got one more chance in 2022, on December 17. Tickets at the link!

New comedy sketch from my team 15 Minutes Away, from our live show this past October! It's called Imaginary Friend, I wrote it, and I'm also in it along with Kevin Delano. It's very dirty and I get to wear a silly costume, so naturally it's one of my favorites.

Our next show is December 17, 2022, so if you're in NYC come check us out! Tickets at https://thepit-nyc.com/events/15-minutes-away/.

It's my birthday and I'm doing a show!
I'm turning 50 - FIFTY! - and to celebrate I'm doing a show with my wonderful sketch team, 15 Minutes Away. If you're in the NYC area on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 9pm, please come down to the Pit Loft on W. 29th Street and check it out! But you should probably buy a ticket first...
I'll be acting, and I wrote some of the sketches, and everyone's really funny, and this is our third of four monthly shows at the Pit and we're generally just a swell bunch of people. Come and watch and wish me a happy birthday! After the show, not during, please don't shout happy birthday at me while I'm acting, I'm Method.
After the show I'll be at Pioneers, a bar a few doors down, so you can hang out and say hi! Maybe wish me happy birthday once we're there, that's probably more appropriate than shouting it during the show. I don't understand why you want to do that so badly.
Two more links for you while I have you. I've started a second newsletter just for my performances, so if you wanna know when I'm acting, writing something that other people are acting, directing something that other people wrote and are acting, etc., you can sign up! It's kind of informal, I only send something out when a show's coming up.
And of course, my original mailing list is still active, my author newsletter. It's been pretty quiet lately, but I've got a new book coming in 2023, so it'll be gearing up again soon. If you're not already on there, sign up and you get a free story!
This turned pretty promotional, but mostly I wanted to express my strong wish to have a good turnout at the show (and the bar...) for my 50th birthday. That's the best way to wish me a happy birthday, just show up! Much better than shouting it at me from the audience while I'm in the middle of a sketch! Don't do that!

I directed this sketch for my comedy team 15 Minutes Away, from our live show at The Pit in NYC this past September. It’s funny, check it out! We’ve got two more live shows at the Pit this year, on 11/19/22 and 12/17/22 - watch this space for details!

Last year, for my own amusement, I started a parody Twitter account purporting to be synopses of all of the missing episodes of Doctor Who, while actually being synopses that I made up. I’ve compiled them all on my blog. If jokes about the greatest TV show in history is your thing, enjoy!

I guess this is how I’m processing what we’re all going through right now. I had the stray thought, “What is Spider-Man doing during all this?” and this happened. On the one hand, it’s kinda sloppy and inconsistent, but on the other hand, I had the idea Sunday night and I’m posting this Wednesday night. 5 color pages in 4 nights is pretty good work. Anyway. Hope everyone’s safe out there.
If you’re bored during these strange times, I’ve got hundreds of pages of free comics on my website, www.comicsfromspace.com. There’s a longer bootleg Spider-Man comic, a comic about teens in the future vs. monsters called Closed Galaxy, and a gag comic about people living on a spaceship also called Comics From Space. If you have a look, I hope you like it!

I made an unboxing video of a crate of old cables and power cords I found in my closet. It’s twelve and a half minutes long and I don’t know why anyone would want to watch it, but I had nothing else to do last night.
