Do not forget about Palestinians on this Eid, do not forget about Gaza, do not forget about the lives taken and homes destroyed, do not forget about the joy and life so cruelly snatched from them.
Eid means to us what Christmas means to most of you. And they're spending it digging through rubble and locating bodies to burry.
They have no chocolates, no new clothes to wear, no homes to decorate, they lost loved ones which would gather together, no Eidi to give to children to make them happy, no mehndi, no jewelery, no new toys.
Do not forget about Palestine.
Keep boycotting for them, keep protesting for them, keep donating to the families through the link tree, keep buying e-sims for them, keep sharing the truth, keep exposing Israel for their consistent humanitarian crimes.
Remember the Palestinians, especially today, on Eid, an occasion of joy.
May Allah make it joyous for them after everything they had suffered, may they be free from the Zionist occupation and genocide
Eid Mubarak, to everyone, and to the Palestinians

“There was nothing to it. Just as she surged forward, he reached for her, wrapping his hand around the back of her neck and gently pulling her lips to his.”
My gift to @ok-boomerang, based on a scene from their fic your heart, my sleeve (go read it if you haven’t already!) Thanks so much to the @zkgiftexchange mods for organizing this event!

Really relevant right now. Despair and defeat is what they want you to feel - that's a colonial weapon in itself. So don't you dare fucking stop, turn your rage and grief into fuel that keeps you going.

i want to highlight some of different pro palestine actions happened at the macy’s thanksgiving day parade.
let’s get started with a group of climate activists that super glued their hands to the concrete on 6th avenue, which is a key point on the parade route:

another group that made some noise and staged a sit-in were the writers against the war on gaza:
you can read their official statement bellow.

the mashpee wampanoag tribe of massachusetts had a member of their tribe lifting a palestinian flag on their float. this action noticeably made it onto national broadcasts of the parade:

and amogst all the planned disruptions were people in the crowds simply taking advantage of the visibility of this parade to make support known:

usamericans-
this is probably going around here like several times, but you can order 4 more free covid tests starting today. if you didn't order any back in september/october (I hadn't heard about it, so I hadn't gotten more tests), you might be able to get up to 8. it just told me 'hey you can get more' and let me do it again, it was very easy to do.
if you're like 'well, I should leave that for people who need it!' don't. order them. stockpile them. the more the program is used, the more likely it is that it will remain a funded program and send the message that covid-19 is still a concern. use the program. there's no needs testing, no nothing, just put in your name and address. if nothing else, you can give a couple to a friend who has a larger family, since it's a per household thing and some people might need more or less, or a mutual aid group in your area, or something. the more people who do this, the more likely they are to keep reupping this program.

truly just learn the phrase "I did not like this" instead of trying to give some moral or ethical reasoning behind why it's actually evil and morally wrong and problematic. you are allowed to just not like things because they're not good in your personal opinion, they don't have to be problematic you can just not like them

I'm reading again about the early days of the 1948 Nakba, and I'm just... at loss for words (cw: rape, child murder)
The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, by Ilan Pappé (2006, p. 90)

If you haven't heard a National March on Washington in solidarity with Palestine is being planned for Nov. 4. If you can't make it (like me) consider donating to ANSWER Coalition to cover transportation costs for buses to help get as many people to the march as possible.

Yesterday Israel bombed Lebanon for reasons like "Hezb Allah are trying to get into this war and help Hamas".
Hours ago Egypt got bombed again but it wasn't by the borders this time no, they hit Taba, a city in Sinai Egypt, 5 were injured and damage was done to a residential building because of the "rocket".
This is where the American taxes go.

When asked by journalists if I justify Hamas’s killing of civilians once they breached the wall, my reaction is twofold. First, no, I don’t justify killing civilians and noncombatants. But then I wonder why, if I am asked to account for the violence perpetrated by Hamas, Israelis are not routinely asked to account for how their military responded to the Great March of Return.
Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza marched along the perimeter of the wall, demonstrating peacefully for our freedom and our right to return to our native villages. And yet, despite the fact that this was the largest unarmed mass popular movement that we had seen in Palestine in my generation, Israel’s snipers killed over 200 of us, including 46 children, gravely wounding many thousands more. One Israeli soldier bragged to the media about how many people he had shot in the knee.
Israel sent us a very clear message when it responded to our peaceful protest with such bloodshed: It doesn’t matter if you attempt to achieve your demands nonviolently. We will kill you and deny you your rights regardless. Despair among Gaza’s youth, already rampant, deepened. What’s more, Israel paid no international price for commiting this violence against innocent civilians. We learned yet again just how little value the world placed on our lives.
…
People in Gaza have been dying a slow death for years. Gaza itself is now dying. Or more accurately, it is being killed.
Israel is determined to “eliminate everything” in Gaza, as Defense Minister Yoav Galant has said. The bombing is killing innocent civilians, including entire families. In recent days, Gallant has ordered the siege to be tightened even further, saying, “We are fighting human animals and we act accordingly.” His words chilled me to the bone. As scholars of history know, genocide begins with this kind of extreme, dehumanizing language. But again, you have to start at the beginning of the book. Israel has been treating us like “human animals” and denying our humanity and our existence since 1948.
The situation gets darker and bleaker by the hour. I may not be able to send any more updates; with a massive ground invasion imminent, our connection to the outside world may be completely severed.
We need all people of conscience around the world to understand the relentless oppression that created this horrific reality. It is the only way to achieve true safety and peace for all. And then, raise your voices in solidarity with us. Help us tear down the wall, end our imprisonment, and fulfill our dreams of liberation.

The absolute silence today is gut wrenching. Leaflets were dropped on the west bank telling palistinians to go to Jordan. Last time they told them to go south and they got bombed. Everything about Palestine has suddenly dropped off trending and we know that staff has been suppressing the tags #free palestine and #palestine. Now its has to be every single tag that was trending, because i just simply do not believe we stopped talking about it over night. I feel so hopeless about this shit but the only thing we can do rn is to not stop talking. We have to stop trying to bury our heads in the sand and keep posting as if it was normal because its not normal. Palestinians don't get a break from the horror, the least we can do for them is to make sure their suffering isn't silent.
