Bringing Mar'i Grayson on the show was Greg Walker's idea. Making her an important part of her parents love story was also his idea. I know that fact ruins a lot of ideas people have about him being a raging racist but it's a fact nonetheless. Akiva or whoever don't give a shit about DickKory or Anna. So thanks to Greg for bringing Mar'i back after DC comics tried to bury her.
Dick trying to teach Kory how to ice skate, but it turns out she learns too fast and is really good at it 😁
Happy holidays to y'all! And a special one for @ablogthatishenceforthmine which this gift belongs to 🥰🎄
I couldn't make more fanarts from the list 👉🏾👈🏾 (I really wanted to, but I didn't have time and I felt a little down this holiday), but I hope you like it! I really liked how it turned out. 🥰
Dick not saying anything about his vision to Kory makes sense to me. He just died and came back to life, Crane was still terrorizing Gotham and he still had to break things off with Barbara. But even more than that he has to come to terms with his feelings for Kory.
Up until now he hasn't had to think about it. Dick and Kory just work well together and they understand each other. When they're together things just go smoothly. So thinking about deeper feelings wasn't necessarily. And I always say that Dick seemed to think that Kory wasn't into him anymore after they defeated Trigon. So he (and Kory too) has been content with the relationship they have: friends that flirt.
But seeing Mar'i in the pit made him realize how he really feels about Kory. Because after the vision there was a big smile on his face. He looked confused at seeing his dad but fully accepted the little girl calling him 'daddy'. And he has been different towards Kory since then. He's more bold with what he says and definitely tries to be close to her more.
Dick looked like he had so much to say to Kory when she asked why he didn't tell her. He was literally on the verge of tears. But he settled on "I don't know" because it wasn't the right time to get into all of it and he likely doesn't know how to put into words just how much he loves her.
His past relationships have never been about love, honestly. When he got with Barbara he said it was because they made sense. And even Babs pointed out how unromantic that was. Then he told Garth that he was just Dawn's rebound. He's never had a relationship where he really loved someone the way he does Kory.
This is clearly all new to him and he's definitely scared. Kory was valid in her feelings as well. But I can't be mad at Dick either. They both need a hug.
