Rachel Elizabeth Dare
Rachel decided to join the urban arts for kids program not just because she wanted to help others, but to also be apart of something. Her parents loved her very much, but they were never there for her. If she had a problem all they did was throw cash at it. There was no family movies or help with her homework, she could have anything money could buy except for her parents attention.
So whenever she got the chance to be apart of something she jumped at the opportunity and made the most of it. Loving having to wake up at four in the morning to catch the bus to downtown New York or whatever their destination was this time. It gave her a thrill when it came to painting herself sparkly metallic colors that took hours. Making so many different friends in the process that even when she stood unmoving for hours she never truly felt alone. Whatever it was, blistering heat or finger numbing cold you could always count on seeing her painted in gold.
Then Percy showed up and he needed her.
Whenever she accompanied him and Annabeth a rush of adrenaline coursed through her vains. Heat bloomed in her stomach and she swears she's never been happier. Then after the mission is completed she becomes the oracle and even more people need her. She no longer feels alone and makes herself at home in her new cave at camp half blood. It didn't even feel wrong like this is what she was supposed to do, she was made for this, and this alone. Though things didn't stay perfect forever as time progressed the visions got worse and worse, and at some point she thought to give up. Then they were gone, she no longer had control over them because of stupid Apollo and stupid Python.
When she went back home she cursed herself because it had to be her fault! If only she had been grateful for her gift then she might still have it! She was back to her 12yr old self, just a sad trust fund bady with no friends. Holding onto so much anger because why her! Why had she been given everything she ever wanted only to have it ripped away! Before long Python managed to get inside her head, and it hurt. Her mind would race from one horrid thought to an even worse one in a minute, and her body became forien to her. The blood that coursed through her grew hot and there was always a ich below her skin.
Even when he was defeated everything felt...wrong.
Yes she was glad to have her gift back but she had lost something she could never get back. Nonetheless she was happy to be surrounded by her friends and helping in quests. Even though when she walked her bones grinded together and her fingers would randomly lock she felt seen and thats all she ever needed.

Percabeth
When the two of them get time to be alone they can always be found at the emergency stairs at Percys apt. Nobody can really remember when it becomes tradition, between monsters and college, yet they were always there. Sitting on the window seal out of percy room they would spend the whole day looking out and observe. They never got to live normal childhoods and even now they still lived pretty weird lives. Wondering what kind of lives they would be living if they werent demigods. Logically neither of them would exist but that's the beauty of knowing the gods exist, possibilities were endless. Maybe in another timeline they were two every normal teens who met at summer camp at the ripe age of 12.
They would be introduced by Grover and the three of them would become inseparable. Raiding the panty together and ultimately getting caught by the counselor of bunk 7, and losing desert for a week. Luke would still be alive and well. There would be no war, no losing friends and having to deal with the aftermath. Just having fun with each other in the heat of the summer.
That is not reality though, hundreds were dead. Luke died to rewrite his mistakes and save the world. Ethan would never see all the work done to make sure every demigod was claimed. Zo would never see the stars twinkle in the night sky again. Bianca never got to really live, to find herself as a person. Jason died as a pawn without any real memories, he didn't die his true self. Many more had died without even making it to 20. They died child warriors that never got to say goodbye or do anything with their lives.
Right now, as they sit and watch the pedestrians below, that reality fades into the background. It's just them again. Just two awkward 12yr olds navigating through this scary and new situation they found themselves in.
