SPORTS: A new game rises
Tumblr media
It’s been discussed on news programs, on ESPN, and even on Jimmy Fallon. if you’ve still not heard about it, you’re probably not paying attention.
The newest professional sport in the USA is one loaded with drug use stigma... but not because of juicing. It’s a sport that has trouble getting a TV contract in place despite being more popular, and played more often among Americans, than any sport other besides baseball, basketball, football or soccer—but it’s not ice hockey.
Ultimate. It’s a rapidly growing sport all across the globe, and this weekend, more than a dozen Winnipeg athletes are scoring big on the international field.
Little backgorund to the sport. Ultimate, originally known as Ultimate frisbee, is a non-contact team sport played with a flying disc (frisbee). Ultimate was developed in 1968 by Joel Silver introduced his idea of Ultimate Frisbee to the Columbia High School student council in Maplewood New Jersey, USA.
The next year, the first game was played between two groups of students. They used a Wham-O Master disc.
Ultimate resembles many traditional sports in its athletic requirements, it is unlike most sports due to its focus on self-officiating, even at the highest levels of competition.
The first and second set of rules were written in 1970 by Joel Silver, Buzzy Hellring and Jon Hines. On Nov 7th, CHS played the first interscholastic game. They won over Millburn High School by a score of 43 to 10.
One of the more interesting aspects of the history of ultimate Frisbee is the sheer breadth of misconceptions that shroud its past. The sport is half a century old, though most people wouldn’t know it. The game comes not from the sun-drenched shores of California, but from the cold northeast, having been dreamed up in a parking lot in New Jersey.

From a distance
Love is a broad topic because there are different kinds of love, friendly love, family love, brotherly/sisterly love or the most famous love there is called Romantic love.
When loving someone you can choose to tell it or just keep it to yourself, because sometimes it can turn out good or it could end up worse. and as for me i choose to love from a distance because when you love someone it is not only by giving things to the person you love but you can show it to her but showing her how much you love her or how much you care for her.
I may sometimes look like not serious when it comes to relationship but i am, some people are not that showy when it comes to affections. Maybe they can’t put to actions what they have in mind or they just tend to say what they really mean. And on the other hand some are very showy that they put an effort on things to give or to show to the person they love.
In order to find love one doesn’t need to find it, it will come to you. Many people nowadays tend to find love in order to feel special, to feel love, to feel having a purpose but you do not need to find a single person to find that because there are many people that may give that to you and maybe it’s not your family or friends but your life doesn’t revolve around that.
Love can be many things but doesn’t concurs all because if it does why doesn’t i feel loved? why does there lonely people around world? Why aren’t we united and focusing on one goal? World peace?
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” ― Marilyn Monroe
I'll be the one that stays 'till the end And I'll be the one that needs you again And I'll be the one that proposes in a garden of roses And truly loves you long after our curtain closes ― Rex
