Seventeen Magazine October 2005. I wonder what caused the O in "hottest" to not appear (along with other letters on this page) but anyway, enjoy. Billie Joe Armstrong, Eminem, Brandon Flowers, and Gerard Way. Ah to think that Hot Fuss and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge were released about a year and 4 months prior to this issue and we were still about a year away from Sam's Town and The Black Parade.

This was the first time I had ever seen the word "Adderall."

Brothers Until the End This story is about the Baco Boys – Adam Cohen, Jordan Satin, David Altschuler, and Jonah Richman, childhood and summer camp best friends. When one of them slipped into the river, the others tried to save him but tragically all four died. It is heartbreaking and will leave you thinking about the friends long after you’ve finished reading.

Hollister August perfume is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. Described as “unique and crisp citrus aroma with multi-floral bouquets and driftwood undertones,” it’s so good. I don’t know when exactly it was discontinued, maybe around 2008-2011-ish? I do remember our managers telling us that our new greeting was to be “Hi, have you met Jake and Malia (the ‘flagship’ fragrances)?” in 2006. I digress. At some point in 2015, the August scent was reissued as Beach Please. 

“Stay inside? Beach Please! Introducing the newest addition to the Hollister Fine Fragrance line, Beach Please Perfume. Blending notes of Brazilian lime, freesia, and Tahitian coconut, it’s made for girls who live under the sun.“ I purchased a few bottles and sure enough, they stopped making it again. Why? Whyyyy. Was it that with every spritz, a puppy would get kicked and as puppy lovers, those at Hollister corporate had no choice but to discontinue it? Bottles of varying fullness are being sold for at least $150 to upwards of $900 on eBay, Postmark, Mercari, Depop. I’m surprised that none of the influencer sponsorships have led to a reissue.

It’s not just the nostalgia and romanticizing of the y2k era, it’s actually an awesome smelling perfume.

The same applies to you Pac Sun for your Lilu perfume.
