The admins have decided to make a Google Form about future projects we could do to support our KCON London Campaign. We hope you can all fill it in and help us out ♡

We were wondering what types of projects you would be interesting in doing to raise the awareness that we want a KCON in London. We have a various projects in mind that we are considering starting but, we only want to run events that you are interested in participating in, as they would be more successful as more people would participate in them thus showing the companies organising the events how interested people are in having KCON here. So we hope you can share the types of projects you would like to do in this form e.g. Mass hash-tag event

London Korean Music Festival

The admins were thinking we could also write to the London Korean Culture Center about the music festival they have. Last year in August, F(x) were the main act and it was a huge success with 35000 people.

So we thought why not write a letter thanking them and asking them to still continue to bring different groups in the coming years.

Please consider the fact that this is a free event, when deciding which artists you would like to come.

Also, keep in mind that these would be just suggestions for them, they may or may not consider them. But, hopefully if there’s a lot of interest for certain act, then they will contact them.

Things to include:

Thank them for all their hard work

Why they should continue doing such festivals?

Which artists you would like and why?

If you went last year  ~ talk about how enjoyable it was

Send them to the same email bringkcontouk@gmail.com but include in the subject “festival letter”. You can scan or send us the document

London Korean Festival Group Poll

Hi guys! We made a poll for you to choose a group whom we could ask the organisers of the Festival to bring to London. We know that everybody likes different groups, however we thought that it would be best for us to contact them with a set choice. If they intend of following the same structure as last year, there will be one kpop artist present anyway, so it would be nice if we could ask them to bring one that most people would like to see. 

Although we all would love to attend a free concert of Big Bang, Super Junior, BTS and EXO we tried to keep our poll realistic and think about the possible health and safety consequences of bringing such big groups to a Festival that is held in Trafalgar Square. We hope you all understand our decision!

The poll is open until the 16th of May, same deadline as the letters. Also, this does not substitute the letters, we just want to make it easier for the organisers to see which group would have the biggest impact. We will forward the letters and the result as soon as we finish organising everything to make sure there is a bigger chance of them considering our opinions.

Dear the Korean Culture Centre UK,

We are a group of Kpop fans who would like to bring KCON the biggest kpop convention, held in the United States, Abu Dhabi, Japan and soon France, organized by Powerhouse Live, Mnet Media, CJ E&M and Koreaboo to London, UK.

Unfortunately, here in the UK we hardly have any kpop events here, compared to other countries. So, we would really appreciate it if you would be able to assist us in raising awareness and let the companies in charge of organizing KCON know that there are many of us here in the UK/Europe, who really want a KCON in London.

We know the role of the KCC is to enhance friendship, amity and understanding between Korea and the UK through cultural and educational activities. Having a KCON, would enhance the bond between Korea and UK as we would become one with music, which is a truly universal language that everyone understands.

Last year, London Korean Music Festival, was a huge success, we are really thankful for you organizing it and for bringing F(X). It is clearly evident by the 35000 people who attended, there are many fans of kpop here and the event even raised awareness to others about Korea and its music for example, so obviously such events do really educate others about different cultures. 

We hope you do consider helping us bring KCON here and thank you for all your continuous hard work.

Dear C J E&M,

As a dedicated Kpop fan from the UK I am writing this letter in support of wanting a KCON in London. I hope to convince you, the organisers, to bring KCON here to London; there are thousands of us here who would love this to happen and know it would be a huge success, considering the number of fans here.

As a UK fan, it is quite rare for us to see our favourite artists in concerts, however, seeing as how kpop is progressing and becoming more popular, it has branched out to various countries and so it gives me hope that one day UK will get a chance to hold such events.

Just last year F(x) performed at the London Korean Festival to 35,000 fans which alone shows the extent of the Kpop fandom in London and the UK as a whole. Furthermore, when Super Junior came during their Super Show 5, they nearly sold out at Wembley. There are more examples we could state, but the artists that have came to London/UK, had amazing concerts here with huge numbers of people attending. So, it is very evident, that bringing kpop events here is such a profitable venture.  I also think that if you branch out to the UK it will not only attract people already interested in Kpop but it would also attract new fans.

Some artists that we would love to see are Seventeen, Monsta X, BTS, NCT-U, GOT7 and many others. Please do take this request into consideration and thank you for all the hard work you are doing, we really appreciate it.

This might be a stupid question but when addressing our letters do we just say 'dear Korean culture centre UK' ?? Lol or like 'dear sir/madam' ? I'm so awkward lmao

It’s not stupid at all! The first one is better I think because it’s directed to anyone who works there :) Or if you want to sound more professional you could write “to whom it may concern”. But it’s up to you honestly, there’s no wrong way of writing it ^^

Thanks for your outstanding work guys, i really appreciate what your doing for us UK fans! I was wondering if you have had letters for the kcon yet? I'm still trying to prefect mine, so i was hoping to ask if we could have some example letters please? Thanks a bunch! ^^

Aww no need to thank us!! ♡ Thank you for your support!! ♡ Were still in the process of obtaining letters, we have already received some, but there's still plenty of time, so everyone please keep your letters coming!!

Don’t worry about perfecting the letter, you just need to show them how enthusiastic you are about possibly having such an amazing concert here ♡  We will post some example letters as soon as we can for you ♡
