Tell me what to do. What can I do as socially anxious autistic person to stop the US from spiraling into a dystopian nightmare.

I keep seeing posts on every social media platform repeating lines from the poem about the holocaust (First They Came) and it almost feels worse than the constant reminders that Trump is a dictator.

Yes, I get he is a dictator. I know history is repeating itself in my own God forsaken country. But WHAT DO I DO ABOUT IT?

I’m one fucking person. And I also happen to be surrounded by maga. So please. Tell me what to do.

But you’re not. You’re shaming me for “standing by”. Because I can’t make the calls. I can’t attend the protests.

I’ll write letters. I’ll donate what little money I can. I’ll repost and share facts wherever I can.

But right now, that’s all I can do. I can’t attend speak up for what is right in my own personal space. I can’t attend speak try to find other groups doing work.

But for the love of God, stop quoting First They Came at me. Because I’m doing my fucking best.

53 Days Later.

When the day came to take me away, you looked in my face & still claimed it'd be okay.

You stared daggers into my soul as I wept & begged for them not to take me away & you told me clear as day that I'd be okay.

Just have faith.

But faith has bled from the creases of every pore.

You looked beside you at the whore & said blessed are the wicked.

We came together & cried as you stood there watching us be led to our miserable deaths.

You told me "it will never get that bad, don't overreact. Its just a fad. It'll be gone soon enough."

But the day came & I was no longer there.

You went among the world & all were gone.

The world is in ruin & it's too late.

You've decided your fate as you continued to be complacent & have the belief that it'd never get so bad.

53 days later.... you found yourself fallen to the ground in mass defeat, not knowing how to make a sound.

53. Days. Later.

That's all it took before your best friend was swept under the rug, gone with no trace & hidden in little dark rooms surrounded in mazes of confusion & torture.

53 days & you have awoken to realize that you were being fed full of lies & lulled into blissful ignorance & complacency.

You swore they wouldn't come for you. For me. For your sons or your daughters.

You promised yourself & others that it'd all be okay, just stay the course.

Just wake up. Get dressed. Go to work. Come home. Pay your bills & do not make a sound.

Do not make ripples within the waves & it'll all be okay.

I promise, it's really going to be okay.

Just do NOT make new waves.

Do not let the tsunami take hold, because it's really not there.

But you saw the weather change & the shoreline swallow itself whole. Suddenly you're drowning in your own ugly blissful ignorance.

"Oh but I didn't know any better."

You plead & begged as they dragged you away.

"Please. You promised it would be different. That I would be saved. You swore my friends would be okay"

But they never did. They told you from day one they never cared.

You just convinced yourself that YOU would be safe.

Telling yourself they were the saviors, to keep yourself from falling into that abyss.

But now I am gone.

Locked in a tiny dark room, being bled alive.

I will never give up. You will have to pry my name, my dignity, my life, from the depths of the hells you have created. For I am so much more than your hatred & cowardice.

I am love & light within the hate & darkness.

I am community & peace.

I am the end of that long tunnel in the dead of night.

I will claw my way out of this if it's the last breath I draw.

You were wrong. They are here, knocking at the door.

You kept promising us it would be different.

Murder of the Disabled

People with disabilities in Nazi Germany were often seen as useless to society and a threat to the Aryan master race. These people were targeted by Nazis for their mental or physical disabilities to be part of a euthanasia program. This program let doctors examine disabled patients and decide whether they should be killed or not. The patients chosen to be killed died by gas chambers, starvation or lethal injections. Between 1940 and 1945, about 200,000 people with disabilities were killed.

Helene Melanie Lebel: Had schizophrenia

Franziska Mikus: Was deaf

Gerhard Kretschmar: First child killed (5 months old); born blind and with missing limbs

The way he did not take Hitler seriously is the same way we are treating trump, whom has officially started WWIII.

Take the advice of a man who lived through the horrors of what we might be facing.

Consider the lives of those illegally deported, caged, and missing. Have sympathy.

I am not a religious person, but I was raised in a church since I turned fifteen. "Love thy neighbor." Was not directed to a certain race, a certain sexuality, or language. "Love thy neighbor" was directed to HUMANS, no matter what they look like, what they speak, or who they worship.

If you are a real Christian, which most of the population claims to be, have a fucking heart. Learn from the past, don't repeat it.

I just made myself sad.

Was thinking about Klepmer from Danny Phantom and how he just wanted a friend and how familiar his pyjama's were. Not because they're typical cartoon pyjama's, no.

He reminds me of the movie "The boy in the Striped Pyjama's" as well as the pyjama's themselves when I saw them at the holocaust museum. (I know they're blue but dp liked inverting and altering colors)

Klemper could have easily been a disabled child victim of concentration camps during the holocaust and froze to death in winter. He could have died looking for a friend because of being lonely. So many families were separated from each other. I can just imagine him looking for a friend alone in the cold with nothing but his stripped pyjama's. His last words being "Will you be my friend?" To either a hallucination of a person in his last waking moments, or his killer before he was shot.

This got so dark so fast.

Ok, I REALLY don't like the Trump-Hitler comparison posts I see for the most part, I think a lot of the time they are very simplistic and almost characterizes Hitler in a way that truly diminishes the real, and unimaginable harm the man did to many groups. That being said...

God you guys, Hitler rose to power because of the economy at the time in Germany. He was legitimately elected through the Nazi political party because Germany was poor and felt embarrassed and the people were angry after the treaty of Versailles. Hitler said he would fix the economy and give people jobs and basically fix everything as his platform, and it got him elected.

A literal quote from the Holocaust Encyclopedia "These groups [Nazi and Communist Parties of Germany] took advantage of the economic and political chaos and used propaganda to attract Germans who were fed up with the political stalemate."

today is the International Holocaust Remembrance day, and this year I want to remind goyim and some jews thet the holocaust isn't just a lesson from history. thet it isn't some neutral genocide of a random minority thats now "ok". thet the mass murderer of jews isn't a metaphor for other bigotrys.

thet yes, jews were the main victims. and acknowledging thet won't erase the other groups. thet you stop saying thet the nazis didn't targeted only the jews each time we talk about the holocaust. this isn't the operation olympics, especially if you are not part of this minoritys. thet learning about the holocaust won't come in they way and shouldn't come in the way of learning about other atrocities.

thet for you the nazis the enemy, but for us they were our murderers. they were our abusers. they were our worst nightmare. thet antisemitism is integral to the nazi ideology, and you call jews who are fascist and bigotedor any other shitty people who doesn't show antisemitism nazis you're trivialzing the term. thet most nazi gasters are seen in antisemitic protests and rallies from the right and the left. the nazis are not some big evil racist cartoonist villains. they were real, and they murdered and harmed milliones of jews. some of them still alive today.

Thet you stop comparing current tragedies to the holocaust. especially stop comparing it for what's happening in Gaza. this is antisemitic and abuses the shared cultural generational trauma most of the jews have

that antisemitism isnt a less serious issue then other kinds of bigotrys. that antisemitism is also ingraved into the culture, the system and your beliefs, and you should also learn to unpack it. thet jews are a targeted minority, thet we are not white, some are just white passing. and if you say you only hate "Zionist" not jews, it still means you hate 80% of the jews in the world. the nazis also hated zionists.

and finally, thet antisemitism didn't start with the holocaust and didn't end with it. antisemitism is still here today, and it's stronger then it had been in a decade.

let us remember victimes of the holocaust, and mourn their fate.
