“I suppose you’re right. Though I would argue that you’re amazing enough already.” Serena played with the edge of the foil as she watched Bristol sit across from her. The words conjured unpleasant memories from the past, but Serena tried to ignore them. “Unless you plan on becoming a tomato any time soon, I don’t think you’ll have to worry much about that.” 

“You’re sweet, Serena.” Bristol watched the brunette fidget with the foil of her burger and she hoped she hadn’t said anything wrong. She ignored it though and instead shook her head with a laugh. “I can promise that... So long as you don’t make me blush, I’ve been told I can turn so red I look like a tomato.” She looked over her friend’s face before giving her a sweet smile. “How are you? I haven’t seen you in a while.”

Rose smiled a little before closing the Prophet and setting it aside. “Your excitement is no excuse for a poor pick up line Bristol. You’re much better than that.” She grinned before tucking of strand of hair behind her ear. “I’ve been doing good. What about you my dear?”

“Alright, alright. Will me buying you a drink make up for it?” Bristol replied with a laugh, shaking her head at her friend. “Glad to hear it. I’ve been really well. Working as hard as I can; things seem to get busier during autumn. Many pranks gone wrong for some silly reason.”

Serena tilted her head to gaze up at Bristol. She hadn’t seen the other girl come in. But before she had a chance to say anything, the blonde had already grabbed the burger and walked away. Rena watched her progress, hand dropping from her face to rest against the table. A few minutes passed before Bristol was back, a new sandwich in hand. “Hi,” She glanced between the burger and the blonde. “You know, I’m supposed to be the one coming in to save day. You’re going to mess up our dynamic entirely if you keep this up.” A smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, ruining the serious look she was trying to have. “But thank you. It’s perfect.” 

Bristol shook her head with an amused smile on her lips, relieved to see Serena’s face soften. She did love the other girl’s smile. “You can’t be saving everyone all the time. You gotta give the rest of us a chance to be amazing too, you know,” The blonde teased lightly as she took a seat across from her friend. “I never realised you hated tomatoes so much. The look you gave that thing... Oh man, I think I’d crumble if you ever looked at me like that.”

Serena flipped off the bun of her sandwich, scowling at the slice of tomato placed almost tauntingly on top. She was sure that it was purposeful; that whoever had been in charge behind the counter had taken her request for no tomato as a personal slight and had gone out of their way to choose the biggest, sloppiest slice. Grabbing the edge between her fingers, Serena pulled the offending vegetable off the burger and onto the foil underneath it. With the napkin she began to dab at the burger, trying to sop up all the tomato juice that had seeped onto the other ingredients. After a moment, she gave up with an irritated sigh. “Well that was a waste of 5 pounds.” 

Bristol had only noticed Serena as the brunette held up a piece of harmless looking tomato with a look of disgust on her face. It was pretty clear, that wasn’t meant to be there and as the blonde approached her friend and heard her words, she knew she had to fix it. Because there was something off about Serena; she seemed more upset, more irritated than usual and Bristol wanted to help. “No it wasn’t. Give me a second.” She wrapped the burger - and the tomato slice - in the foil and headed towards the counter to have a few words with the staff. A few moments later, she was standing in front of her friend, a fresh burger in hand, no tomatoes in sight. “Hopefully this one is better? If not, I’m sure I could get you your money back. Hi, by the way.”

“You know pick up lines like that make me wish I was still quarantined back at home.” Rose said running a hand through her hair before looking up from the Prophet to see who it was that had taken the seat opposite her.

“Well I’m sorry that I got so excited that I’m actually seeing you for the first time in Merlin knows how long that I could hardly think of a clever line.” Bristol’s words fell from her lips quickly - a bit of word vomit, if you will - and her grin was bright. “How are you, Rose?”

The words surprised him a bit. They were certainly very forward, though he supposed he should have known that Bristol wouldn’t hold back. “That’s quite the claim.” He said, his voice dropping an octave. Colin reached out to rest his hands on her thighs as he leaned closer. “I think you’re going to need to back that up with proof.”

For a brief moment, Bristol worried she may have been too forward. But surely Colin knew how attracted she was to him? He definitely picked up on how often she flirted with him. So why not sleep together? Any and all doubts disappeared when she heard how deep his voice had become; it seemed to rumble through her body, making her shiver. “I’d be glad to.” Her hands moved to rest atop his, but only for a second. Then they were gently sliding up his arms and when she reached his shoulders, she slid them to his chest and gripped his shirt. Drawing him closer, she caught him in a deep kiss.

“Yeah, well, that’s boring. Who wants to be a responsible adult when you could be out drinking with me? I’m fucking adorable.” Violet paused for a moment, Bristol had raised a very good question. “Hmm, that might be a problem. But, fuck it, there’s only one way to find out.” She took her friend’s hand and dragged her over in the direction of the group, hoping that at least one of them was gay.

“Of course you are. I’d choose you over pretty much anything else.” It seemed almost silly to Bristol to have to say it; it was so obvious how much she cared about Violet and appreciated the times they spent together. The blonde laughed as her friend seemed determined to get with someone from the group of girls, and she decided that if there were any who were gay, Violet got first pick.

“Well, you wouldn’t be the first friend I’ve ever made out with. God, where is Em anyway? I thought she would be here.” It had felt like years since Violet had last seen Emily and she desperately wanted to know what was going on her life. “But there’s a fucking gorgeous group of girls over there.”

“Dunno, haven’t seen her in a little while. She could be taking advantage of the night and sleeping, as most responsible adults would.” Bristol giggled, knowing that that was what she had done her entire childhood up until this past year. Glancing over, the blonde nodded in agreement. “Nothing on you, but yeah, they’re absolutely stunning. Do you think they’re into girls, though?”

“You should have just told me. Then you wouldn’t be going through this.” Colin used his body to guide hers back towards the bed as his fingers continued to move along her sides. Most of his friends were ticklish and it was a threat he was used to acting upon. “Are you going to say it now? I’ll stop if you do.” 

“Fine!” When she felt the bed bump against her legs, she dropped down quickly. Her bum hit the bed and she pushed herself back on the bed, away from him. Now free of his touch, if only for a moment, she gave him what he wanted. "I could get you off quicker." Yes, that was really what she had been thinking when she'd said she could beat him at something. And she was curious to know if he’d accept the challenge.

“As you wish.” Colin dipped his head the rest of the way down and captured her lips in a kiss. His hands moved around to her back and slid down to rest against her hips as he pressed their bodies together. His mouth curled into a smile against her lips as he startled to tickle her.

In a sense, the kiss was a surprise. She’d partly been expecting him to tease her in some way. But as soon as their lips touched, she was beyond relieved that he didn’t. Her hands gripped at his shoulders as his pressed firmer on her back, pressing her even closer to him. But then suddenly, she pulled back with a gasp as his fingers danced along her sides. “Colin!” She laughed as she tried to squirm away from his hands. “S-stop!”

The moan was a bit of a surprise but his body was already reacting to the sound before his brain had even been able to fully process it. Colin walked over to the door that she had instructed and pulled it open as easily as he had with the front door. Once they were inside the room, he set her back down on her feet while kicking the door closed with his foot. He tugged her against him. “Last chance to come clean and make it easy on yourself.” His voice was soft and he dipped his head down closer to hers. 

A soft laugh left her lips as the door was kicked closed and he drew her close to him. It was nice being back on her feet again; it made it clear just how much taller her was than her. Her cheeky smile remained on her lips even as his head dipped towards hers. “Like hell I will. Show me your worst,” She whispered back as she stood on her toes, brushing her nose against his as her hands slid up to his shoulders.

Violet flagged down the bartender for two extra shots, already feeling the previous one on top of everything else she’d had that night. God, it had been a fucking heavy one. “Beautiful, so,” she handed one to Bristol, “who here is tickling your fancy tonight? Because if not I can see plenty for you to at least flirt with.”

“Oh I definitely see one. Gorgeous brunette, striking blue eyes. Fuck, if only she weren’t one of my best friends...” Bristol let out a long sigh before winking at the brunette. A soft laugh left her lips before she glanced around the pub. There were absolutely quite a few people she’d be interested in, but she wasn’t about to ditch her friend.

“Well, that’s a shame. Looks like we’ll have to do this the hard way.” Colin reached up and delivered a gentle smack to Bristol’s backend in return. “Which room is yours?” The last thing he wanted was to accidentally end up in the wrong person’s room. That would just be awkward for everyone involved. 

If it wasn’t obvious, Bristol was in a very playful mood. And as his hand came up to tap her backside, she let out a low moan, wanting to tease, rile him up, make him laugh, whatever. She just wanted a reaction. “First door on the right.” She tried to use her foot to point, but her instructions were pretty clear. She was very much looking forward to finding out what ‘the hard way’ would be.

“No nightmares. Just a desire to keep busy and prove myself, that’s all.” He reached over and squeezed Bristol’s hand. “You and Atalia both.” Levi sighed as his eyes drifted shut once again. Try as he might Levi drifted off into nothing.

His eyes drifted open and Levi breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that he was still in the St. Mungo’s staff lounge. With a loud groan he sat up and stretched out his arms before looking at Bristol again. “How long was I out?”

She appreciated that he squeezed her hand, but his words didn’t really help. What did he need to prove? He was already the best apprentice, at least in her eyes. “Not long enough.” Bristol was really hoping he wouldn’t be mad at her, but she’d let him sleep past the fifteen minute limit he had set. His supervisor had come by, and when the blonde had explained in a hushed tone what was going on, he’d been allowed an extra half hour of downtime. “You alright?”

“Well if it is then you’re going the right way about it. Might even get a bit more if you’re lucky.” She kissed the blonde’s cheek before grabbing her shot, grinning broadly as she did. “To bloody gorgeous people we wanna kiss but can’t.” She downed the tequila swiftly, wincing as it slid its way down. “Fuck, another!” Violet called out. “To the beautiful people here we can kiss and will.”

Bristol scrunched up her face at Violet’s words, agreeing completely. “I’ll drink to that.” She mumbled, downing her shot quickly. It was the next declaration that made the blonde burst into laughter and she nodded. “Now that, that is what I like. I like being able to kiss whoever the fuck I want.”

Colin burst into laughter as he felt her hands collide with his backside. “Oi. Give a guy some warning first.” He kept one arm wrapped securely around her legs as he pushed open the door to the apartment. Bristol’s weight was balanced enough that he didn’t have any concerns over dropping her. “Am I going to have to force the answer out of you?”

“Why? You turned on by this, Finnigan? Never thought you’d be into spankings.” Bristol replied cheekily, a laugh following soon after. She kept up the drumming, only pausing to close the door behind them as she shook her head. “I mean, yeah. Not just gonna give that kind of information away for free.”

“Oh really? And just what do you think you can beat me at?” Colin quickly snagged the keys out of Bristol’s hand once they were safely out of her pocket. He would let her down once they got into the apartment. Until then she would remain securely over his shoulder. “I got that. You just enjoy getting a free ride.” 

“A few things come to mind. But I don’t think you’d believe me so...” Bristol drew out the ‘o’s and just kept smirking, not quite ready to give him what he wanted so easily. When he took the keys straight from her, she huffed before a smile crept back onto her face. “You know, I think I will.” With that, she began to drum her hands on his arse; her argument would be that there wasn’t much else to enjoy from up there.
