Pulled out my Elphaba costume this weekend

I loved making this costume! Each piece (skirt, top, corset) took over a month to make. (The entire thing took about 4 months to complete.)

Each ruffle on the skirt was hand rouched/overlocked and then sewn layer by layer. The skirt alone weighs about 10-15lbs.

The corset was hand made. Patterned/built the structure, added boning/piping, and then quilted, beaded, and aged/distressed the piece.

The top is also hand/machine quilted, with a sheer top layer, embellished, and beaded.
