"Where the heck did you guys go?" Dex aseked, raising a brow as he casually twirled a drumstick in his hand. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYS!" Sprocket ran and launched herself at Chip, knocking him over. "....Hi!" she added, Specter peeping in through the doorway.

Well! This is a story and a half.

"Unfortunately, we had some family business--" Data pauses as he sidesteps Sprocket, allowing her to crash into Chip. "--to attend to. It...took longer than we expected, and we're sorry about that."

"SPROCKET I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!" Chip stumbles back a little, staying pretty upright, and is practically crying, hugging his gal tightly with one arm while he attempts to wave at Dex and Specter.

Somehow, Snap seems even more nervous, despite the fact that his anxiety was usually eased significantly around the cousins, waving and sinking into his oversized hoodie. "'Sup." He mumbles.

Steampunk AU where Thomas, an Horologist for hire finds the Sides while looking for scraps at the junkyard where the five have been hiding out after being abandoned in their burning house. All five of them have trouble trusting humans because they were left to perish without a second thought, but Deceit is the most bitter because he watched their maker run and not look back. 

Specifics: 

Logan is missing his right arm

Virgil, who runs on a winding key, is missing said key.

Roman is chipped and his voicebox is damaged

Deceit is missing half of his face and parts of his legs

Patton is the most in tact and as a healing automaton has been trying to put everyone back together.
