there so much fun stuff when building a vampire fic because, well, to start with, why are they vampires? Is this some kind of spec-bio au, are they symbiotic? Parasitic? Co-evolved from a ghost branch of hominidae? Is this some kind of livestock-guard dog situation where vampires protect humans so they can eventually feed from them?

Is killing humans necessary for feeding then? If it isnt, who enforces that? Are vampires a secret most humans dont know about or are they just silently existing next to them? If they dont need to kill people to feed, who enforces that? Is there a centralized governing body? Is it localized or not? Do different vampire cultures have different taboos about interacting with humans?

Unfortunately the sequel to “the Monster at the End of this Book, starring Lovable, Furry Old Grover”, (namesake of my fic there is a monster at the end of this book) changed illustrators so inspiration is thin on the ground here.

It's important to me that Bruce likes his kids. Not just that he loves them - of course he does, if often imperfectly and at times even poorly - but that he genuinely enjoys being in their company. He likes them.

Conversely, actually, none of them should have secondary dynamics at all, as an extension of their blessings from the gods, because most discrimination in a/b/o societies seems to come from secondary dynamics and not binary genders.

And like, im not trying to state a hard rule here, do what you want, but i do think the assumption of making Diana an alpha because she’s strong and competent and a leader is fascinating from a real world perspective

i have an au where bruce is both the harpy hare and the person begging in the song, but gotham is also the harpy hare

during Lex's party in BvS, you are telling me Diana stared at Bruce for more than a couple of seconds in this scene??? and Bruce stared with the same intensity??? no one looks at you like THIS unless you are interested at them. i don't make the rules but, they fell hard right here. this is also where their intense eye fucking starts.

It's 3 AM and I'm still just flabbergasted that there are people who believe Bruce Wayne thinks he's a good person. Like regardless of the discussion of ethics because that's arguable. It's a demonstrable fact that HE thinks he's a bad person.
