Tom: morally ambiguous yet has redeemable qualities. genuinely cares for liz, switches allegiances to keep her safe.

Fandom: tom is a boring, ugly hasbeen who needs to die and rot in hell. how could liz be stupid enough to associate with this fiend instead of blindly following RED who has the same level of moral ambiguity as tom and is responsible for putting him in her life to begin with????? the NERVE???????
