Writing prompt (let's see how long this can be kept going):
You're a Domovoy that was brought across seas several generations ago. Your family had brought you with them after asking you to accompany them. The years go by, but the family fails to teach their children or even their grandchildren about you. It seems they've forgotten as time has passed. And now you're left, forgotten, in an apartment where they happened to take up residence all those years ago. Now, in modern times, there's not an actual hearth in a fireplace. There's an electric stove, a furnace, and a water heater. You slowly migrate from one to the other throughout your days, bored, sad, and wondering what will become of you. The apartment has been empty for a while now. Your last temporary family that had moved in didn't even know you were there, let alone had even thought to invite you to leave with them.
One day, a new temporary family moves into your apartment, you're behind the stove, which has become you're favorite of the three locations. They have a teenage daughter who just happens to be trans. You're intrigued by her and how much she says she simply adores cooking and mythology. You see all the various books she begins to unpack after the furniture has been delivered and arranged, your interest piqued even more when you see a Russian Folklore and recipe book. She starts cooking something on the stove later that evening when she sees you peaking over the side of the counter at what she's making and simply stares at you.

BEACH CHICKENS!!!!!!!!! Aah, yes, the parking lot billed and feathered terrorists who, even when you're in the middle of inland territory, swoop in out of nowhere with their webbed feet and will attempted to steal all of your fries and chicken nuggets. 🤣 Seagulls some say. Yeah... those are beach chickens!
Just curious about everyone’s thoughts on this as I’ve been thinking about urban wildlife a lot lately
