msparp-hell is in fact still around, but at the moment their blog can only be viewed on tumblr dashboard view (tumblr . com / msparp-hell) and not standard desktop view (msparp-hell . tumblr . com) for some reason that they dont even seem to be aware. when it doubt, chalk it up to tumblr being a Very Functional Website.

Weird, apparently when you block someone on Tumblr you "should" be able to see their posts but can't reblog them? I could still be blocked I guess but I'm not sure what I did that would cause that. But, whatever. For now I'll chalk it up to Tumblr being weird.

nope, i mean it as a very bad thing! the idea that people should take pride in wanting to rape children is fucking disgusting. i thought you were cool but seeing you encourage this kind of shit makes me nauseous.

Im not sure "encourage" is what I'd use. I don't like underage stuff either but sometimes people who like it kinda scurt around calling themselves a pedophile while pretty much calling themselves a pedophile. Like, they go out of their way to look at, rp with fictional kids, sometimes even draw kids in sexual situations, but they get all mad when call a pedophile or pedo. That's what I kind of find annoying. "I do rps where I fuck kids, I look at drawings of kids having sex, but I'm not attracted to them" seems kind of like a weird lie to me. And the joke to me is these people are defending themselves publicly, which I guess is fine, but it's weird to admit all of that but then get all weird when "pedophile" is brought up.

Also just because I talk about something doesn't mean I agree with it. Saying "pedophiles should call themselves pedophiles instead of scurtting around hard words that hurt their feelings" also doesn't mean "I think pedos should be allowed to view pedophilic content"

Not sure if you mean that as a good thing but I believe if you flaunt the idea that you enjoy something, it's weird to get offended by it. If you are openly admitting you enjoy a taboo kink that many people hate, find gross, and want to avoid, either enjoy being called a pedo or go away. (This is true for most taboo kinks but I think it's the most true for anything involving kids) but yeah, there's a lot of power behind the word "pedo" but you can easily have an attraction to kids and never plan to have sex with one. You're still a pedo regardless.

I think what annoys me about the pedo/bestiality talk that keeps popping up every month is that even if people are being a bit hypocritical they are still very different. Obviously they are both horrible to do IRL, I'm not going to defend that. I just think it's weird that people get surprised that people who enjoy rping one thing HATE loli/shota ECT. Like- no matter how hypocritical they may or may not be your morals don't have to include EVERY taboo in the world if you do enjoy taboos. You can enjoy one taboo and DETEST something else.

I also think there's a weird that "pedo" is seen as an offensive word, mostly by pedos themselves. You don't have to actively do things with children to be a pedo. All you need is the attraction. So many people have a gut reaction to that word but if you're that freaked out being labeled that when you actively rp loli/shota/underage shit then that's more of a you problem. I DONT like underage stuff but if you're going OUT OF YOUR WAY to rp underage on websites at least own it. You like the idea of sex with kids, you're a pedo. People like the idea of fucking dogs, they are into besteality. There are hypocrites everywhere but it doesn't look good when you go "they can't admit they like dogs" when you sit on your ass and go "I'm not a pedo, I rp underage NSFWS, but PEDO is too far you asshole". You're never going to look good pointing your finger at other taboos when you do hypocritical things yourself and don't understand why some people don't hate X taboo but still hate underage smut. Some people hate pedis regardless if they have intent on IRL actions or not. Sometimes liking underage rp is enough to cross that line for them.

All of this is just an allegation I don't really have proof this is what thell is doing. But I'm wondering if the insult against thell was real BUT he knew taking the site down permanently would cause a gut reaction where the userbase would send him money. Obviously we don't know if he's going through with the site transfer yet since it hasn't been done yet but everything so far feels kinda iffy.

Also, this isn't a dunk on Steve but I feel like he should also have a professional to look over any contracts he gets from thell (one he knows is for-sure real). But that alone could also cost a bit. I just feel like IF thell is doing a scam hed lean into Steve and anyone else paying for the site not being able to double check his work easily.

Im not sure how to feel about Steve possibly running MXRP.

On one hand I think it's pretty unfair to judge how he might do things before he's even had a chance to run the site.

But on the other hand he's shown to act a bit childish over criticism and doesn't always know how to mod a group of people. (I don't hate smut servers like, at all. But they come with extra challenges). I've heard it's gotten better but it took too long, and some of the arguments over the SFW channels not being SFW all of the time were awful and petty.

I don't HATE Steve I just hope he takes modding a whole website a bit more seriously than he's shown with his server. You can't always blame your mods when you're the one that owns it (or possibly spit ownership but the idea still stands. You implement mods, so make sure they are creating a safe space for your users. You have the power to punish,remove, or remind mods how rules work).

I don't really have much more to say on that until the site does come back (maybe) and we see how things are run. Im just wary about getting into another loop where criticism is always treated like a petty complaint or there's always going to be an excuse on why it's not the owners fault (aka thell 2.0)

I feel like thell freaking out and taking the site down was inevitable but it sucks to see it go this way. Yeah people shouldn't say mean things to thell but I feel like thell bred that kind of culture in MXRP by being a bit of a dick himself. (An almost mirrored example is thell doing almost nothing when "Insolete " told someone to not-live-themselves)

You can't poorly mod a community and expect them to stay off your back, and on top of it all I don't think he really should have acted like an online presence for MXRP in the first place. At least some stress and drama could have been avoided that way. Ever since Thell was in charge MXRP was slowly dying and I wouldn't be surprised if it stays down. Management of the site sucked and thell isn't great with people.

But also it's not the end of the world. MXRP was unique but there's other ways to get RP. Ive used it for years so it's hard seeing it go but until something like it is back (or cherp adds in a roulette feature) we can live without it. I just feel glad that it lasted as long as it did because there were a few close calls for the ship to sink.

I have no idea how much mxrp-hell cares but as an asexual person (if you know me, I understand the irony), it's so weird seeing Steve post "lmao my personal has sex with your big boob persona" like- can this community seriously not talk about anything without acting like childish asshats? Idk maybe hell finds it kinda funny but I could live with not reading weird sexual comments like that when I cruz the mxrp tag. The context just makes it feel weird to me.

And yeah, I have been in servers that allow NSFW but have a role that lets you hide channels and yes, it does slip into other channels. Maybe not 24/7 but it happens enough to be a common problem. It happened in the old mxrp discord semi-often up until the NSFW channel was gone (and eventually the whole server). I don't think it's that silly that people talk about it. It's not bad at all that a server hosts NSFW! But it comes with the caveat that not everyone will put everything in the NSFW channel, especially stuff that might feel borderline. Or a conversation can slowly creep into more and more NSFW topics. Shit happens, but we don't have to act like it doesn't happen. It might not bug a lot of people but I find it pretty uncomfortable sometimes.

Hell, people forget to put the right topics in the right channel in SFW servers too.

But yeah- i don't know what Steve's deal is. I get making a joke but there's a joke and then there's being weird and petty. Even though the posts weren't that detailed I find them kinda gross considering it happened when talking about wanting to avoid smut when looking for updates on the site. I'm probably over exaggerating a bit but good God. I feel like people can't take criticism in this community at all.

it depends. I live in a HUGE city and rent can vary from like 1800 to as low as 550. though usually anything below 700 is dedicated to low-income (either paycheck-based rent or they need proof that you’re financially struggling). I live in a place that’s pretty middle of the road and its $750, though it is a studio in a poor neighborhood so that’s part of why the price is a bit low.   I think it also varies by region. for example i used to live in a town in Wisconsin that had maybe like- 155 people. apartments in the 1000′s range still exist  but it is quite a bit easier to find a place that’s in the 700′s range than where i live right now, even if you have to look in a totally different town next to where you live.  450 is also a number i see a lot with people who room with others though. I have no idea if that’s something thelle would ever do but its something i see a lot. 450 rent along COULD be a thing, i found one place in my city that’s 477, but again its a low-income thing that not everyone can just, walk up and rent. you’d need to fit within their guidelines.   TLDR rent around 450 exists but you probably need to room with someone or  have financial issues, OR be super super lucky but this is probably pretty rare. 

Ok i dont stick my head into stuff like this too often anymore because im very busy pulling MAD SNATCH across the internet with my well known alternian blue shithead but where the heck does anon live where rent is 450 a month

Thats fucking bonkers i live in a town with less than 5000 people and eighty small businesses pulling minimal profits and the rent is still 1100/mo at the local apartment complex

Finally figured it out after doing some testing. It has to do with my internet, which makes me think my IPS banned the website for some reason. I heard this happens sometimes but hey, at least I wasn't banned for mpreg.

MXRP no longer loads on any of my PC browsers, though, it still loads on my phone just fine. Which is weird since that means my profile isn’t banned but I have no idea why ALL my browsers can’t run MXRP. It happened right in the middle of a chat too. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before? I’d ask the discord but I left and don’t feel like joining again.
