i would hope that most of you have enough of an understanding of jewish history and identity, concepts of indigenity, and the workings of historical and archaeological records to understand why a jewish state must exist and deserves to exist in the area in which it does. i would also hope that most of you are critical enough of religion to not immediately and unquestioningly support an islamic fundamentalist extremist group that teaches children under their purview to desire the deaths of jews (yahood). and I would hope that most of you are not so blind and american-centric as to view the i/p conflict strictly through the lens of american race relations.

but a STAGGERING number of you fail all three of these, and fail them in such embarrassing ways. pathetic lmfao. tfw islamic extremism bad, unless they’re talking about wanting to wipe out the jews (like they’ve already done almost completely in every other country in the muslim world), in which case islam is totally based all of a sudden. this is literally how most of you sound, your antisemitism is so blatant it’s ridiculous.

A genocide is not just a mass killing of people it is an intent to erase an entire language, a culture, an identity. It is an attempt at an erasure of every single aspect of a certain group of people. Have you seen anyone trying to erase Arabic? Have you seen anyone erasing Arab history? Have you seen anyone kidnapping Arab children en masse and forcibly converting them/trying to erase their identity as Arabs? Have you seen anyone trying to destroy Arab culture?

Oh, no, wait, that's everything you've been doing to jews for thousands of years, and now you're trying to do it again.

every single time someone compares zionists to nazis, i think about how they forced jewish prisoners to lead cattle cars of other jewish refugees to their death in the gas chambers. how they forced them to go through the bodies to take the gold fillings and heirlooms, how they forced them to burn their bodies, all while knowing that they were next. but i also think about the stories of resistance, like the teenage girl that fought back against the soldier patrolling her to her death who sang the shma as she died, or the quiet kaddishes that were prayed as the burials took place, or the fact that any of these stories made it out to be shared with the public.
