I don't know how long this will last, but all I hear is: Iran, Israel, America... as if Gaza doesn't exist, as if the world has forgotten the people suffering there.

Iran celebrated, Israel celebrated the end of the war, and Gaza waits and calls, but no one listens. The war between Iran and Israel is over, but the war in Gaza is not over. Children are still dying, families are still being displaced, walking long distances, homes are still being demolished over the heads of those inside, and injustice still exists. Also, don't forget that hunger has never left people, but more importantly, Tumblr users, listen to me with your hearts. I always write posts asking you to participate with me and donate to my family, but unfortunately, I only find a few who do. My children cry all night because of extreme hunger. Today I went to the American aid distribution center at the Netzarim point in the northern Gaza Strip. We were randomly shot at and many victims fell before our eyes. I almost got shot, but we started running without thinking. I reached my children exhausted from fatigue and fear, but unfortunately my heart is torn with sadness for them because I returned to them empty-handed. Please, I hope that you will participate and donate as much as you can. We are in very serious danger. Please do not leave us. Help us, whether by participating or donating. We need your humanity more than ever.

Why is Qais suffering from malnutrition in Gaza?

1. The war has destroyed food supplies and markets, making it nearly impossible to find basic nutrition.

2. Blockades and restrictions have cut off access to humanitarian aid and baby formula.

3. The health system is collapsing, and there is no proper care or food for growing children like Qais.

My sister Soso is STILL very sick! Her fever won’t go down and she won’t stop screaming because of the pain, intense heat and hunger. We’re running out of medicine and the only food we have left is spoiled. Going to the hospital is too dangerous lately so we don’t know what to do. Chickenpox is supposed to be benign, but her body has been weakened by nearly two years of genocide.

Please help her. I know it looks like we’ve already received more than enough, and I’m thankful for every single dollar donated, but no one can imagine the inflation that’s hit us. Everything we receive is spent immediately on rent, food, medicine, a turn on the phone charger, an internet connection. A 25kg sack of flour costs $1,000 and medicines are a rarity. As for clean water, we just haven’t tasted it in 18 months.

She cries day and night because there is no milk or proper food available for her. She sent me pictures of her back and stomach, just some bones covering her soft skin. This innocent child should not have this happen to her. The same is true for her three siblings, who are also going hungry. Sinners is an excellent horror film for many reasons, but to me the most central is that it is horror with something interesting to say and ask. The film explores the ways in which colonialism, white supremacy, and racial capitalism impact how people form relationships, build community, create art, practice spirituality, connect to history, and value other people. It also has something interesting to ask about what it means to be someone who is part of a population that is considered ontologically always dying and already dead.

As you consider these themes, I would like to ask you to extend your thoughts to Fadel. Like the fictional protagonist Sammie, Fadel is a talented, kind, young adult who has dreams for his life and enduring love for his family and community.

He is a disabled and injured Palestinian in Gaza, part of a population who much of the world reduces to their suffering and deaths, as if their early death is an inevitability. It is not. It is preventable.

He is alive right now. You can message him, check in on him, extend your love and care to him ( @fadel-dani ). He needs some money to get to a hospital resourced enough to treat his injuries after a bombing. I know you can empathize with being in pain, with health care being inaccessible and stunningly expensive. You have common humanity with him. You understand him.

Fadel is not a story. His future is not fated or scripted or set in stone. The way his life unfolds is entirely dependent on the social systems around him and the decisions of people who have resources, especially people like us who are not in active genocide, who get pay checks every couple weeks or every month.

Your decisions matter. Please help him out.

Daily Struggles of Misk’s Family – 4💀🥀

On Monday, May 5th, at around 6:15 PM, an Israeli airstrike hit the home of my sister’s family — without warning, without a chance to escape.

My sister Lina, her husband Mohammed, their baby daughter Masa, and their little boy Abdullah were all killed.

Only Misk, their 4-year-old daughter, survived — but she carries deep wounds.

She was pulled from the rubble, injured, covered in ash, and screaming for her mother.

She watched her family die around her.

She watched her world collapse.

Now, I — her uncle — am doing everything I can to care for her.

But how do you comfort a child who has lost her entire family in a single moment?

Misk has burns and injuries. She barely speaks.

At night, she trembles in her sleep, whispering their names: “Mama… Baba… Masa…”

We now live in a tent. No clothes. No medicine. No answers.

It's Juneteenth, I'm a Black Texan, descendant of enslaved Black Texans. Texas is the only state that fought two different wars to protect slavery and chattel slavery ended the last for it. Juneteenth to me is to celebrate that part of overt white supremacy coming to an end, but it was not the end of white supremacy. It did not stop, with the lynching, the police violence, the redlining, the environmental racism, the segregation. Juneteenth represents a good win aganist the fight against white supremacy, but it's not over.

And for this Juneteenth, I ask for help for my friends that are the victims of this same US white supremacy. Not just today, but everyday Gazans deserve any type of help that you can give them. The technology that is used to segregate and attack and police and destroy Palestinians is the same technology that is sold to Texas to be used for the border patrol and to harass and control immigrants and border communities. This is one, connected fight aganist white supremacy and US control and destruction of Black and Brown bodies. So I ask today if you could donate this, or share, to help provide for a mother and her 2 now fatherless children in Gaza, or anyone else in Gaza who needs help. Like this family with a sick baby. Just do something, especially if you got the day off.

Israel cuts Gaza's final internet line, plunging it into total communication blackout.

Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.

I am seeing more and more calls from inside of Gaza for help with eSims as that is currently the only way they can connect internally and with the outside world.
