It was pointed out to me today that my "type" is "rat girls" and despite all my rage, they're right.

I don't shop at the dollar store specifically to save money. I shop there because it doesn't make sense for me to buy in bulk. It's just lonely me, I dont have a family of 5, a huge car to carry it all home, nor do I have enough freezers or storage space to hoard it all.

What's super annoying is a majority of products being sold will sell the same total volume no matter their pricing scheme relative to bulk. The number of end users doesn't change just because of the bulk pricing. However, the waste increases with bulk prices.

People buy more than they need and will throw some out. So overall the company sells more.

I think bulk pricing punishes those of us with a smaller footprint and more individualistic lifestyles, which is an increasing demographic as fewer people are starting families.

I hate bulk discounts. Just make the price the same for every unit of that item. Let everyone save equally while not promoting waste.
