“Yeh sure lets do that-” Fawn spoke with a nod and a grin. “Is it a going to a bar, getting drunk and dancing asses off time or do you wanna drink, eat ice cream and watch cheesy movies?”

“Neither,” Bryoni said with a smug look on her face. “I was actually planning on getting drunk and dancing my ass off, to music of my choice in the comfort of my own home,” She gave a dramatic sign before waving an arm. “A beautiful night.”

Fawn couldn’t help but smile lightly with a small laugh falling off her lips, “Well nice to see you too Bry.” Fawn teased lightly as she headed away from the table over to where the blonde was. “I was just waiting for you to get off- thought I could drag you to come do something with me! Well- that’s if you’re not busy, don’t wanna pull you away from any plans you’ve got or anything.”

The blonde slowly dragged her hand through her hair. “The only thing I have on my list, the only plan I have... is that I plan to drink.” Bryoni admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. “You are of course welcome to join.”

“I’m trying to look for something, hold on.” Skipper reassured the other, she knew she was taking longer than most of the people that had visited that day, but she had been trying to look for something her mother had donated when she was only 6. 

The blonde huffed and rolled her eyes. “In the politest way possible --- If you could hurry up with your looking, that would be great,” Bryoni forced the words out through gritted teeth. “What’re you looking for?”

“Hey,” Bryoni’s eyes narrowed in on the body wondering around the store. “Are you almost done?” It was the end of the working day. Bry was tired and desperately wanted to go home.

“Uh don’t that sounds like the dream right about now.” Fawn sighed as she flopped her head back on the couch. Though a smile quickly popped onto her face as she turned her head to the blonde. Wearing her usual grin with a hit of mischief like she always did whenever she’d gotten an idea. Especially when it came to making her features feel better. “Well-” The brunette spoke with a dramatic sigh before giving a shrug. “I guess I’m just gunna have to bring summer to you Tink. You free next Saturday?” 

As her friend continued, Bryoni narrowed her eyes slowly. “What’re you planning, Fawn Hawk?” She chuckled. The blonde let out a sigh and folded her arms over her chest. “Go on then. I’m biting. I’m free.”

“I love flowers, so much. They’re wonderful, but please tell me you don’t have a question about them or a piece right now. Since mother’s day I feel like I’ve been drowning in petals and thorns and I see greenery in my sleep..” she trailed off. “And like I said I love them it’s just the end of spring and beginning of summer is just so.. so… Anyway, tell me about your day, or work, or dog or something. Anything, please?”

The more Ortensia went on, the more Bryoni grimaced. “No of course. I totally wasn’t going to ask about flowers or anything like that,” The blonde awkwardly shuffled on the spot. “Yeah um... Work was fine. Totally fine. Completely fine.”

“Customer service,” Pin repeated with a nod. “You know that is one job I never quite had the patience for, I tried it but .. honestly most days after work I just cried. Gosh that makes me sound soft but confrontation is my least favorite thing. But I can imagine you’re probably already a better performer than you think solely because of that job. It takes a lot of stamina to put up with humans all day. Where do you work?”

Bryoni had heard tales similar to Pin’s a million times over before. But, that didn’t mean she didn’t laugh. They were still funny stories. So, she smiled and nodded and laughed. “I get it. That’s fair,” Bry nodded slowly. “Oh I work in an antiques restoration store. I --- help restore antiques.”

“If you could choose between free acting lessons or free dance lessons, a dance of your choice, which would you choose?”

“To be honest,” The blonde sighed. “Probably acting. I’m not really in many situations where proper dancing is needed whereas with acting, I guess it could actually help with my job - Customer service and all that.”

Lacy fidgeted a bit in her spot unsure of what to say or how to carry on any more conversation. “Sounds lovely. Thank you. Do you know somewhere I can buy records? I’m new to the town so I don’t know my way around quite yet, I know there’s a lot of shops that are in little crannies that are “hidden gems”.”

Bryoni folded her arms together and pressed her lips into a line. She hummed quietly in thought a moment before letting out a sigh. “If you’re looking for proper old stuff, generally the kind of ... bits and bobs stores are best. The ones that don’t advertise that they have vinyls. The music store is obviously good for general stuff but yeah. If you’re looking for hidden gems, it is a case of digging around.”

“You don’t know how happy that makes me to hear,” Lacy said as she set her palms flat on the counter top. “It’s such a beautiful piece. However much it cost to fix, don’t worry about it. I’ll pay whatever it takes for your time.”

Bryoni laughed. “No worries - It’s really okay. It’s just my job,” She shrugged before shifting the woman’s piece onto a shelf behind the counter. “Check back in tomorrow afternoon? It should be done by then but if it’s not, then I’ll have a firm idea of when it will be ready.”

“I didn’t do anything. I swear, I just looked at it and then it fell over.” Peter insisted. Okay, so maybe he’d touched it and it’d come crashing down. But he wasn’t about to admit to that.

“Nothing just falls over,” Bryoni continued to narrow her eyes at him. “Everything in here is secure because if anything does fall over, it could break,” Her words were sharp. She set down what she’d be working on and then walked over to him with force. “I swear to god...”

“Really?” Her eyes light up with both excitement and surprise - not that the other can fix it, but rather that most of her work is record players. “I woulda guessed you would have gotten more important things that need fixin’.” Not that record players aren’t important to some people. God knows Peggy’s is to her. “She does get a lot of use.” 

Bryoni wobbled her head a little. “Well I’m a restorer, which is fixing up old stuff. Most old stuff that people keep around the house is either furniture, or things like radios and record players. And vinyl is obviously having a big come back so,” She shrugged and laughed. “Lots of record players for me.” The blonde took one last glance over and nodded. “Yeah I’m fairly certain this’ll be an easy fix.”

”That means you’ll be able to fix it?” Lacy asked, a smile spreading across her features. “I can’t believe someone just threw it away in the trash like that. Couldn’t have come at a better time though, I really would like to play some of the records that I have.”

"I can fix it, yeah,” Bryoni chuckled and nodded as she slowly started to turn and examine the product. “Most of my jobs are record players actually. Can fix ‘em like the back of my hand.”

“I’m sure we could find a way to persuade her somehow.” The brunette laughed a smile tugging easily onto her features as she looked over at her friend. Setting her mug down, fawn moved so she was sitting crossed leg on the couch with a small hum. “That will be so great. Oh-! And, we can go braless without the nips making a friendly appearance. Won’t that be great. Plus the sun all over our skin- we can just spending hours in the gardens it’ll be so nice.”

"There’s just -- so many things about summer that are so much better,” The blonde sighed happily before sipping at her drink. “Crop tops, hair tied up without cold ears, so many more parties,” Bryoni let out another final sigh before laughing. “It needs to get here a la pronto to be honest with you Fawn. I’m a donkey on the edge. I’m gonna lose it.”

She immediately lifted her head upon hearing the crash. Narrowing her eyes, she focused on the only person in the store. “What did you do?”

“Oh.. come on now love. Don’t sound so excited to see me.” The male teased lightly a slight edge to his smile before he took a small sip from the cup in his hand. “True, it is a little too-” Cute, twee, simple, wholesome, the list could go on as he glanced up at the bunting with a slight knitting brow before scoffing with a small shake of his head. “Yeh.. it’s something.” James muttered. “What can I say, couldn’t say no to a party. Besides it gives me a chance to socialize. Meet new people, catch up with familiar faces. Like you.” The male spoke with a slight shrug of his shoulders as he looked over the blonde’s features, the edge of his lips quirking up in a smile. 

As James spoke, Bry snorted slightly. He practically reeked of disdain for the event. “Like me, huh?” The blonde rolled her eyes playfully. “You don’t have to lie to me. My feelings wouldn’t be hurt,” She pressed her lips into a line before her lips mirrored his - Curling up into a smile. “I hope you have a good time at least anyway. It’ll do you some good to get some air out of that studio of yours. Seamus not around?”
