Going through a Reddit thread about the infamous “Disco Elysium but it’s a young witch trying to solve the disappearance of her neighbor’s cat” meme and I highlighted a really good comment. I think overall media is moving away from the whole “women cannot be portrayed in a way that’s fucked up and ugly in the same way that men can” constraints. Which is good. I love deeply flawed female protagonists.

Also: I love me a good cozy game but admittedly that top comment had a point about that being an overdone genre in itself. Just because it was made in response to a perceived oversaturation of a certain trope doesn’t mean it's inherently original or even a good response anyway I know this is kind of out of the blue as a post, but I am generally pretty passionate about media analysis and this scratches my brain a little.
