@charleecat-bat I maaayy have gone a bit overboard with this one but considering the characters I couldn't resist X3 I don't think I've drawn either Big or Storm before but they were fun to draw all festive and sweet, and of course I had to add froggy in there too!💖 I personally din't have a specific label in mind for Big either but I'd figure aroace would be nice for him ^^

feeling a bit silly and festive so I'm taking up some pride related sonic requests. Just give me a character you'd like a pride piece of and I'll try to doodle them. 💖

I genuinely love the IDW sonic comics but sometimes I miss the darker plots Archie Sonic had - especially roboticization plots (though IDW has hit that nail on the head with the metal virus, Surge and Kit's whole deal, and the fact that Clutch is willing to outright kill with no ceremony (and whatever's happening to him rn)).

But, I also kind of miss some of Archie's art style. I love the lighting and the posing and the like in IDW, but I've noticed that expressions are never pushed all that far in it. But Archie Sonic did so much with character expressions and posing that I just kinda love.

I just miss the vibes. But hey - I can just read both comics. And if any of y'all have any examples of expressions and the like being this extreme in IDW, please feel free to add them in a reblog - I just can't really remember any moments of that.

Iris: Well.. since you all were kind enough to make me a lovely cake last year for pride, figured Thundy and I would make you a little cake to celebrate you this time~

Spectre: Hm?

Thunderhawk: Iris brought up how awesome it was that we were becoming more comfortable in our own sense of identity and how wonderful it was to celebrate that. 

Considering that you made such an important discovery about yourself along the way we wanted to celebrate that, and what a better way to celebrate than making you a cake! -He smiles at his grandfather- we just know how much you looove cake!~

Out of sheer curiosity I had to look up what the origin on the poster was and it's actually kind of inspiring ngl.

I know it's easy to blame ourselves for our shortcomings but mistakes are a part of being human, it's how we learn.

Just because you suck at something or don't understand something doesn't mean you are a failure, just means you are growing and learning.

Everyone develops at their own pace. What may work for one person may not work for another and that's ok, you'll just find your own way of achieving the same goal.

And having a positive mindset helps, give yourself some grace from time to time. 💖

Figured might as well reblog with an update for those interested in my more spicy art work. I went ahead and made an FA to post all that type of stuff there too. Bluesky is nice and all but I hate that I'm bombarded with nothing but current even affairs and political talk, that no matter how much I block and mute and whatnot still gets shoved down my throat. Just makes it an unpleasant experience to use the site. If It isn't showing me upsetting articles it's suggesting people doing nothing but complaining about US politics, and if I wanted that experience I could just turn on the news and get the same shit. Theodore 🎐

[ 🎐 ]ㅤ.ㅤdo they have a sound, like a song or voice, that they associate with peace ?

Theodore thinks for a moment, but it doesn't seem like he's unsure... more just thinking it over, a small soft smile forming on his face. Theodore: (he chuckles) I'm sure due to my musical interests, that I'd be likely to name a type of genre or an instrument. Theodore: But...no. That wasn't my answer. Not even close. Theodore: My wife's voice... Ume. (he smiles sweetly, looking down as he thought of her) Theodore: She was a very quiet woman, her voice soft and gentle. When I first met her she barely spoke a word. So terribly shy, couldn't speak good english... I don't even think I heard her speak to me directly. Only ever heard her speak to her family in her native tongue. Don't blame her one bit, she was far from home and her family had just started trying to build a new life on Angel Island Theodore: But I remember the first time she said something to me. Just saying a goodbye to me. I was over the moon. I was the first person she spoke to outside her family I felt so honoured to get her to open up to me. Theodore: But I especially think of one thing she did... (he laughs softly) With people, she was shy. Even as she got better at talking in english. She was still reserved. But with anything else, little creatures, bugs even her plants. She'd talk to them, even sing to them. So softly and silly-like. It was so awfully cute... Theodore: The happiest and calmest I'd be if I could hear her singing. I knew if she was she was at peace herself, happy and calm. And one of my fondest memories would be when Seth was still a newborn... I'd hear her singing to him. Lullabies in her language... I couldn't help but smile. I managed to get one moment of her singing to her baby on an old film camera. Theodore: She was very embarrassed at the time but she let me keep the footage for myself. That's all I wanted it for. I always told her how much I loved her singing.

Theodore:...I might have to go try to find that film, try and convert the video maybe... what i'd give to hear her gentle voice again.

Also the biggest shout out to @julie-su's gay cake Spectre, this image lives rent free in my head I freaking love this piece so much. Originally I was just going to draw my own version of Spectre being a supportive grampa but somehow it ended up being a part two of a meme comic and Iris and Thundy got involved, but I love it waayyy too much!
