A clan of superstition, of pride, and of joy - while Riverclan celebrates just across the streams, Thunderclan faces bustling lands of their own- but Thunderclan faces a brand new challenge, a struggle that will put the proudest of the clans to their most troubling test yet.

Twolegplace has laid at rest for so long now- but not now. Not anymore. When the Thunderpath rages louder than ever before, when mighty Cutters begin to make their trek deep into the mighty forests, the cats of Thunderclan must now choose how they make their approach.

Will you join Thunderclan and remind the Twolegs of the rightful rulers of the forest? Will you seek their pity, their friendship in your paws? Will you face them with claws unsheathed, ready to strike for the lands you adore?

By the River is an upcoming Warrior Cats roleplay server looking for helping hands in the next few weeks as we hope to create a community where anyone can hold their starring role. We're here to make a story- the kind of story that so rarely gets told, the kind of story with sharp edges to it. The story that nobody wants to tell. The kind of story that needs to be told.

Is this server 18+? Because I’m a few months shy of 18 and real tired of seeing servers I’m interested in be 18+ . Y’all seem so cool already

We'll have a preference for users that are 18+, but at this time we don't plan on this being a strict requirement. We will be a bit pickier for those closer to the 15+ range, but especially if you note it down in your application, it won't be the only thing we consider. We will not deny (or accept!) an applicant with age as the *only* reasoning, unless it's under the age of 13.

Will y’all allow names like Phoenixfeather (just an example), or will this roleplay have more traditional, realistic names?

It's typically handled on a case-by-case basis on our end! Generally speaking, when naming a kit we rule on the basis of- would a queen name their child this whenever they were born? While name-changes do happen in history, it's typically taken as a very rare occurrence and as defining as ideas like 'One-eye' in canon.

While we don't plan to have a specific list that you *have* to use a name from, we lean towards the idea that kits are named whenever they are born.

Names like 'Bone', 'Blood', or 'Broken' might be frowned upon by other queens in the nursery as bad omens, names like 'Rhino' or 'Lemur' generally wouldn't be allowed as we lean towards animals that could be naturally found in the United Kingdom, and long, complicated titles like 'Empyrean' or 'Cerulean' are generally taken under a bit more scrutiny under this rule.

We do entirely want to encourage creativity with this- tree-related names like 'Pine' are perfectly fitting in Thunderclan, 'Shanty' is an acceptable title within Riverclan, and you're free to base it upon their surroundings!

Under this idea, 'Phoenix' would be most heavily considered for a former kittypet. Twoleg legends and lore would rarely reach the clans, and what does reach them is often going to be incomplete or a warped version of these myths.

By the River is an upcoming Warrior Cats roleplay server focused on the original four clans in the forest territory with reworked lore. Currently in development, we are looking to create an environment for anyone and everyone to toy around with - this is a community where everyone who's willing to put some time into it will have a roll in things!

With mechanics inspired by Dungeons and Dragons and dog#0999's server Chasing the Sun, By the River plans to provide a place where you can create something that nobody has ever seen before. Whether it be the battles for the forest against the Twolegs and their mighty 'Seekers', or the Festival of the Seas that Riverclan holds... from the cats with the forests strings in their paws, or the rise of the Tunnellers against the Moor-runners of the past, we've got plenty coming up for you all to enjoy!

Please feel free to send us any asks or come to me about what we've got in the works - we are looking for helping hands with this upcoming storyline, and we are looking to create something hand-crafted with you all in mind! We could use anything at all, and we're here to make this a community where we can all share our lovely hobby together!
