this test seems like it's gonna be hard. but I simply cannot walk away. I have nowhere to walk away to. Wood Dragon year has just started and it already feels like it's heavy.

guess I'll just have to trust my own strength. I've laughed, cursed, shouted, cried it out and I'm spent now. I've no energy left to even think ahead.

Energy recharging is still ongoing. Evaluating all sorts of things. Something is off, and I still haven't fully figured it out yet. But I'm getting there.

But one thing for sure, a decluttering is necessary. I never hate who I was, but I aim to fly. So if it's an unnecessary weight, let alone a hindrance to my peaceful core, it's to be rid of!

Few years later, I finally feel like replying to my own old post, for my own amusement.

So I have concluded the point of living. It's to collect data, keep learning and evolving, the best we can. We all are, possibly, just a giant pool of socio-tech experiment. At some point in the future, and probably not so further away, we'll reach the peak of evolution for 'this batch', and there will be major natural selection to sweep away all of the failures.

Time is not linear, they said. That means we actually can do anything, if we are smart and brave enough to challenge the so-called fate.

I'm obviously nothing at all compared to the universe, but the definition of a universe itself is philosophical. And as far as perspective goes, one thing for sure, I choose not to be a loser. I've been breaking the moulds since I was born, and I plan on keep doing that.

I even found a gorgeous quote that totally resonates with me:

Questioning The Purpose of Living

Is there any point of our existence at all? Cos even when I realize how beautiful life is, I can’t ignore that it’s also brutally cruel and abusive. A Qur'an expert said everything that happened and will happen in this universe are actually already inscribed on the Preserved Tablet. If you have faith at all, if that’s true, then what’s the point of praying or trying? What’s the point of living? What’s the point of doing good deeds, what’s the point of committing crimes? If life itself is a set up, then we’re already screwed since we had been given our consciousness. That means we’re screwed for life. But then if you’re faithful, you believe there’s a life after death, and it’s eternal…

I have found another young adult female lead who LEADS her story. Weirdly enough, it's Charlotte of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

I NEVER THOUGHT I'D BE A BRIDGERTON SPIN-OFF FAN. Cos I watched the first one, and halfway through the season I laughed at it. At some point I was like, "These people are animals. Honestly, it's so fucking ridiculous." And to add to it, THERE IS NO ACTUAL PROBLEM in the storyline. It was so stretched and basically just stupid exaggeration of everything. And then my friend was so bored that she watched the second one and she told me that it was actually better, but still dragged as hell. So I passed.

Then the spin-off came out. I can't really explain it, but when I saw the thumbnail/poster of the young Queen C on it, I was intrigued. It was sorta like, "This girl seems so cool. I think I'll watch this one."

So I started, and was very impressed with the first episode, because I WAS RIGHT! This girl, India Amarteifio, she plays Queen C so brilliantly. Bright, tough, flawed but very conscious and she loves so fiercely. Such a gorgeous character, and I could relate to her every fucking second of everything. So I finished 6 episodes in one sitting and every episode was a surprise I loved it. The depth in the storyline, and it tackled real problems beautifully, and then the genuine chemistry. Such a touching love story 🥹

I mean, I know it's not really a YA. But sorta. Cos Charlotte was 17 when she was first introduced. And India was perfect. She's my current celeb crush ♥️

Thank you Shonda Rhimes. I'm still gonna pass the main series, but this one was such a gift 💝

These YA novel writers need to focus more on their female lead.

While I'm happy there are more adaptations (even though I've never read the books and have no intention to) with more male characters that are charismatic, complex, anti-heroic for me to root for, I'm kinda sad that it's still such a rarity for me to be able to relate to the female lead.

Complex and morally grey female characters do exist. There are A LOT OF US HERE. We can be protagonists too, if you give us a chance.

Stop denying the potentials of so many young women to think and do great things independently, by reducing them into this typical character of regular girl who somehow possesses an extraordinary power, but is emotionally dependent and very unimaginative and incapable of making up her own mind.

I've been offended by this for 34 years now. This needs change.

I guess this is why The Queen's Gambit series was a huge success. It's the only sort of YA story I know, that I can relate to and love so much. Even though when I read the book, I skipped all the details about the technical chess game, cos they were all just beyond me.

But the irony is, The Queen's Gambit book was written by a man. While these YA fantasy book authors are all females.

Follow NASA’s Artemis I Moon Mission: Live Tracker, Latest Images, and Videos

On Nov. 16, 2022, the Artemis I mission officially began with the launch of the Orion spacecraft atop the Space Launch System rocket. The rocket and spacecraft lifted off from historic Launch Complex 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Now, the Orion spacecraft is about halfway through its journey around the Moon. Although the spacecraft is uncrewed, the Artemis I mission prepares us for future missions with astronauts, starting with Artemis II.

What Makes the Artemis Moon Mission NASA's Next Leap Forward?

When NASA astronauts return to the Moon through Artemis, they will benefit from decades of innovation, research, and technological advancements. We’ll establish long-term lunar science and exploration capabilities at the Moon and inspire a new generation of explorers—the Artemis Generation.

Meet the Space Launch System rocket, or SLS. This next-generation super heavy-lift rocket was designed to send astronauts and their cargo farther into deep space than any rocket we’ve ever built. During liftoff, SLS will produce 8.8 million pounds (4 million kg) of maximum thrust, 15 percent more than the Saturn V rocket.

SLS will launch the Orion spacecraft into deep space. Orion is the only spacecraft capable of human deep space flight and high-speed return to Earth from the vicinity of the Moon. More than just a crew module, Orion has a launch abort system to keep astronauts safe if an emergency happens during launch, and a European-built service module, which is the powerhouse that fuels and propels Orion and keeps astronauts alive with water, oxygen, power, and temperature control.

Orion and SLS will launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida with help from Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) teams. EGS operates the systems and facilities necessary to process and launch rockets and spacecraft during assembly, transport, launch, and recovery.

The knowledge we've gained while operating the International Space Station has opened new opportunities for long-term exploration of the Moon's surface. Gateway, a vital component of our Artemis plans, is a Moon-orbiting space station that will serve as a staging post for human expeditions to the lunar surface. Crewed and uncrewed landers that dock to Gateway will be able to transport crew, cargo, and scientific equipment to the surface.

Our astronauts will need a place to live and work on the lunar surface. Artemis Base Camp, our first-ever lunar science base, will include a habitat that can house multiple astronauts and a camper van-style vehicle to support long-distance missions across the Moon’s surface. Apollo astronauts could only stay on the lunar surface for a short while. But as the Artemis base camp evolves, the goal is to allow crew to stay at the lunar surface for up to two months at a time.

The Apollo Program gave humanity its first experience traveling to a foreign world. Now, America and the world are ready for the next era of space exploration. NASA plans to send the first woman and first person of color to the lunar surface and inspire the next generation of explorers.

Our next adventure starts when SLS and Orion roar off the launch pad with Artemis I. Together with commercial and international partners, NASA will establish a long-term presence on the Moon to prepare for missions to Mars. Everything we’ve learned, and everything we will discover, will prepare us to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.

This solar jack-o-lantern, captured by our Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) in October 2014, gets its ghoulish grin from active regions on the Sun, which emit more light and energy than the surrounding dark areas. Active regions are markers of an intense and complex set of magnetic fields hovering in the sun’s atmosphere.

The SDO has kept an unblinking eye on the Sun since 2010, recording phenomena like solar flares and coronal loops. It measures the Sun’s interior, atmosphere, magnetic field, and energy output, helping us understand our nearest star.
