Tighnari sfw Alphabet

A.N.: Because let’s be honest if we loose 50/50 to him on limited, I consider that a win. Also please appreciate and enjoy it, you have no idea how long this chilled rotted in my drafts.

A = Affection

(How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

He is pretty busy most of the time and is not very open with affection when it comes to others. Generally I’d say he’s in a good middle amount of showing affection, but when it comes to evenings he likes showing more affection, especially before going to bed, things like cuddling, or spending quality time together are things he goes weak for.

B = Best friend

(What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

He as a best friend would be the kind of friend that always has advice for you whenever you need it. He also would be the one you could always rely on. You need help for some work for the academia? You are sick and don’t even want to lift a finger? He is going to be there for you!

He also occasionally likes playing rounds of tcg with you, you can also always talk him into doing things in nature like taking a walk or hike. Yet he would be more for the calmer activities overall.

C = Cuddles

(Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

If you guys are very close he wouldn’t mind a hug for greeting or casually cuddling in bed or on the couch if you are in a relationship.

For the latter, if you start to caress him in some way he will get addicted and come back for your cuddles definitely :)

D = Domestic

(Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Tighnari has everything covered, overall when it comes to domesticity, husband material.

His cooking skills are pretty average but he is constantly working on learning new recipes and may present them to you, Collei and occasionally Cyno then. (Like a little family dinner :>)

He also prefers to keep the house clean and organized to some degree.

E = Ending

(If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Gently. He wouldn’t want the relationship to come to an end in a fight or in some other unfortunate way. So even if you guys had a fight (which may have been just one more in a row of a few too many) and he for his part knew there could be nothing more to fix it, he would sit down with you and end the relationship.

But he would only do that if whatever the reason is, simply cannot be solved even after talking about it and explaining his feelings clearly. To him a breakup is really the last solution.

F = Fiance(e)

(How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He really is all for commitment. In general loyalty has a big importance to him, yet when it comes to a wedding he would be pretty objective.

He for himself doesn’t necessarily need to get married, he is just as fine with having you around and being his partner, with a paper that says it legally or without it. He doesn’t really care, but if you want to get married and show your commitment to him like that then he will be flattered and agree to get married.

G = Gentle

(How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Tighnari’s gentleness is that soft kind—the kind you don’t even notice at first because it’s woven into everything he does. He’ll scold you for not hydrating enough, but his hands are careful when he’s brushing leaves out of your hair. He teases with a sharp tongue but never crosses the line—always reading your face, checking in with those smart, perceptive eyes of his.

Physically? He’s the definition of careful. Whether he’s tending a wound or adjusting your scarf because “you’ll catch a chill,” it’s all done with this quiet, precise touch that makes your heart melt a little. Emotionally? He’s learning. He’s not always the best with words when it comes to his own feelings, but he listens. And when he realizes something hurt you—even unintentionally—he doesn’t brush it off. He wants to do better, and he does. Every time.

H = Hugs

(Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

To him hugs are something optional, he doesn’t need them necessarily but if you come up to him and give him one he certainly won’t complain! So while he is really fine with short ones for greetings, he might just prefer them when you guys are alone at home.

He might just come up from behind you and hug you then to see what you’re up to.

I = I love you

(How fast do they say the L-word?)

I feel like he isn’t fast in this because he takes a long time to trust people completely, let alone admit their love for them. When he first does tho it would be either when sharing a sweet moment between the two of you where he just looks at you with this little spark in his eyes and just speaks his thoughts then.

J = Jealousy

(How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Tighnari claims he doesn’t get jealous. Says it’s “a pointless emotion that clouds judgment.” But ohhh, his tail gives him away every time. The way it twitches when someone gets too cozy with you? Yeah. Totally not jealous. Not at all.

He won’t throw a fit or start drama—he’s way too composed for that—but he’ll start hovering. Suddenly he’s standing just a bit closer, brushing your hand when he doesn’t need to. It’s not possessive. It’s protective. His jealousy doesn’t come from insecurity—it comes from how much he cares. You’re important to him, and if someone’s making you uncomfortable or trying to swoop in, he’s gonna make sure they know you’re already spoken for. All without raising his voice.

K = Kisses

(What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Tighnari’s kisses are intentional. He’s not one for random pecks just for the sake of it—when he kisses you, it means something. A quiet promise. A check-in. A silent “I’m here.”

He likes kissing your forehead the most. There’s something grounding about it, protective too—it’s his way of saying “you’re safe with me.” When he’s being playful, he’ll sneak one to your cheek just to see your face light up.

He doesn’t mind being kissed anywhere, really—he’s not fussy—but if you press a kiss right between his ears or along his jaw when he’s focused on something? Yeah. That’ll short-circuit his whole train of thought. He’ll act all flustered and pretend you’re distracting him from important work, but deep down? He’s already leaning in for another.

L = Little ones

(How are they around children?)

The children love him because they are amazed by his ears (I mean who isn’t tbh) so they all want to pet them and he is so kind so he can’t say no.

But also he likes the children and finds ways to keep them entertained if necessary.

M = Morning

(How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings with Tighnari are soft and slow—when he lets them be. He’s usually up with the sun, all efficiency and routine, already checking on saplings or scribbling notes before you’ve even opened your eyes. But if it’s a rare day off? If you tug him back under the covers with that half-asleep “don’t go yet” voice?

He’ll stay.

He’ll grumble, sure—something about wasting daylight and poor productivity—but the way he tucks his face into the crook of your neck says otherwise. His tail wraps around your leg without him noticing, and suddenly it’s his hand tracing lazy circles on your back to keep you from drifting off again.

Eventually, he’ll coax you out of bed tho with herbal tea and some kind of weird-but-good forest fruit you’ve never heard of.

N = Night

(How are nights spent with them?)

For him he is either doing a later shift with the forest watchers and therefore sometimes isn’t home the whole night on occasion. If he is not home and you want to come along with him on patrols he is probably going to be against it because:

„I don’t want to keep you from a good night of rest and sleep.“

But if you say you don’t care about it and want to come along anyways then he will be fine with it and you two will spend a nice night on patrol (where he is secretly very happy you came along :)

If he is home though, he likes having some form of routine. To him that mainly consists of showering, self care and eating, as well as very importantly, meditation.

So if you ever want to come along and meditate together he is going to be more than happy to do so!

O = Open

(When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He is on the slower spectrum. If you proof to him that you are a person he can trust and maybe lean onto sometimes, he will feel like he can share some things that matter to him or will also come to you to ask you for advice or to organize his thoughts again.

P = Patience

(How easily angered are they?)

This man has A LOT of patience. He’s used to repeating himself, guiding people gently (and sometimes not-so-gently) toward not accidentally poisoning themselves. So yeah, he’s technically patient.

But that patience? It has conditions.

He can handle honest mistakes, questions, even a bit of clumsiness—but if someone’s being willfully ignorant or reckless? That’s when the ears go back and the sarcasm comes out full force. He’ll snap, not out of rage, but because he cares too much to let someone be stupid in a dangerous world. His lectures might be sharp, but they come from a place of wanting people to live.

Q = Quizzes

(How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Tighnari remembers everything. Seriously. That one time you casually mentioned you liked the smell of citrus after rain? Yeah—he filed it away like a field report. Now your favorite tea has subtle orange notes, and you don’t know why he always brews it after a storm until it clicks.

He’s got that scary-smart, hyper-observant brain, and it absolutely extends to you. Favorite foods, weird phobias, that one time you said you hated the texture of a certain fruit—he absorbs it all like data. Not in a creepy, calculating way either. Just… attentively. Thoughtfully. Like you’re the most interesting thing he’s ever studied.

R = Remember

(What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Tighnari’s favorite moment isn’t some big dramatic event—it’s a quiet, tucked-away memory only he holds like a secret pressed in a field journal.

It’s the first time you really let your guard down with him. Maybe you were sitting beneath a tree, rambling about something completely random, completely you, and he realized he wasn’t analyzing your words anymore. He was just… listening. Heart soft, tail still, and for once, no notes to take, no corrections to make.

Just you. Just that moment.

It might’ve seemed insignificant at the time—maybe you don’t even remember it—but for him? It was the turning point.

S = Security

(How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Being protective is quite in his nature, it is basically one of his core motivations too! After all, going out in the forest, checking if it is save, what is not save, and checking if there are injured people. He does it all to protect the people of Sumeru.

But since he is so used to always protecting people he isn’t very open to him also getting/needing protection. It would only be in moments where he is out of stamina in the forest where he would really appreciate a helping hand to protect him, or when cuddling, just sometimes someone that would hold him to make him feel protected and safe.

T = Try

(How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He would try his best for everything no matter if it’s dates or anniversaries or anything else. Yet because of his job it is possible to happen that he is so caught up in work, or maybe teaching Collei another thing that he forgets one thing. He would be extremely sorry nonetheless and you need to tell him it’s okay because he always tries his best :(.

U = Ugly

(What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

For starters? He’s a chronic overexplainer. Even when you don’t need a lecture, he’ll launch into one like it’s instinct—about plants, about safety, about why you really shouldn’t eat random mushrooms even if they look cute. It’s well-meaning, but sometimes it feels like being on the wrong end of a very patient scolding.

He also bottles things up. Hard. If something’s bothering him emotionally? He’ll bury it under work or brush it off with dry sarcasm. He’s great at reading you but terrible at letting himself be read. You’ll have to nudge him, gently and often, before he lets anything vulnerable slip past that carefully controlled exterior.

V = Vanity

(How concerned are they with their looks?)

Tighnari insists he doesn’t care about appearances. Claims it’s all about practicality—clothes that let him move easily through the forest, minimal fuss, nothing flashy. But let’s be real: the man brushes his tail with more dedication than most people give their entire skincare routine.

He’s not vain in the “look at me” kind of way, but he is meticulous. His appearance is part of how he maintains control and professionalism—especially as a Forest Watcher. He wants to be taken seriously, and that means looking put together.

W = Whole

(Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Tighnari wouldn’t say he needs you—not out loud. He’s fiercely independent, practical to a fault, and absolutely convinced that he can handle things on his own. Function without attachment, that’s the mantra he used to live by. But the truth?

Once you’re in his life—really in it—he starts calibrating his world around you without even noticing. Your laugh becomes the sound he listens for between rustling leaves. Your presence becomes part of his routine, part of his peace. So yeah, he could function without you—but it would feel like walking through the forest with no compass. Like trying to catalog the world without the one person who made it feel worth understanding.

X = Xtra

(A random headcanon for them.)

He hums while working. Soft, absentminded melodies from the forest, nothing dramatic. But if you hum along? He’ll pause, blink at you like you caught him committing a serious vulnerability, then quietly start again. This time, a little louder. Just for you.

Also? He names his favorite trees. Doesn’t tell anyone. You find out by accident.

Y = Yuck

(What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

Disorganization stresses him out. Messy workspaces, chaotic plans, people who wing it with zero forethought? Absolute nightmare fuel for his structured botanist brain.

In a partner, he’s pretty tolerant—up to a point. But he’d struggle with someone who constantly dismisses science, acts irresponsibly with nature, or treats others without basic respect. He has zero patience for cruelty disguised as “honesty,” and if someone plays mind games or avoids communication? Nope. He’s out. Respect and emotional maturity are non-negotiables.

Also—don’t fake liking plants around him. He’ll know. And he’ll judge you. Silently. With that look.

Z = Zzz

(What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

On duty? He’s a light sleeper, always half-alert—ears twitching at every noise, tail curling protectively even in his sleep. It’s more like resting in cycles than deep sleep, trained by years of forest watch. He’s used to being woken up at odd hours, and he’ll be fully functional within seconds, no matter how groggy he feels.

But off-duty? With you? Whole different story.

He grumbles when you drag him to bed early, but once he’s under the blankets, he melts. Tail flops lazily over your legs like a fuzzy heater. He likes the room cool, the air clean, and you close. If you run your fingers through his hair while he’s dozing off? Instant knock-out. He’ll never admit it, but that’s his favorite lullaby.

And if he wakes up and you’re not there? He’ll never say he panicked—but he absolutely looked for you within ten seconds.

T.w.: There is literally no coherent thought in this, I am rambling

Can we just…

…take a second and appreciate everything about this man? (Especially in a relationship (and especially with someone that might not have the highest self esteem))

Honestly where do I even start. The power he would have to just build a loving relationship? Assuming you’re not academically gifted, you know this man wants you for who you are as a person. He doesn’t care about what you did academically because if he falls in love with you it‘s not because of your grades but who you are.

He would want to make you see everything he sees in you because you are special and if you don’t know it yourself then he has to and will remind you as a matter of fact like this logic man always does.

So he’s going to tell you in his unique way what you mean to him over and over again and yeah:

To be fair when it comes to feelings, he is the one who is simply a little helpless. And its not intended. It is simply because he is so used to being blunt and direct and then comes with the ‚feelings don’t matter in the pursue of the objective truth‘ that he isn’t on the gentler spectrum when it comes to communicating feelings.

So of course you will get the:

„Ugh love are you damn blind, how can you not see how damn special you are, I think I genuinely have to bring you to an ophthalmologist because the way you can’t see your imperfect perfection is pathological.“

And I love it about him!

And what else do I love?

That everytime I see this man…

I need to think about how nice those strong arms would feel in a hug :(

Ratio meaning „Calculation“, „Consideration“ or „Reason“ in Latin.

It is probably nothing new here, but still: His name alone is just so beautiful, Veritas Ratio, two Latin words connected by a meaning so fitting for him. So fitting that I wanna smack the devs because no mother at birth would know her son would become a genius and so fitting that I wanna kiss the devs because this is character design at its finest and I want to appreciate it.

Hoyo‘s Doctors as Dads🧸

Synopsis: Do they want children? How would they be as dads? What hobbies would they have with their children?

Characters: Baizhu, Dr.Ratio, Il Dottore

A.N: Oh yes!!! Beware though I made this pretty realistically what I thought their decisions would be based on a few presented factors. Also very sorry I didn’t post anything, I feel like my writing is getting worse :.)

C.w: Reader is implied to carry the baby, also Dr. Ratio‘s part is a lot longer than Baizhu‘s and Dottore‘s (sorry I can’t do all men justice equally ):

Baizhu🐍

He definitely wouldn’t be opposed to the idea. He would love to raise a child with you and teach it all about the world and make it into a lovely human being.

So his parenting style would support that! He would want to be there for his child no matter if there are emotional troubles that it can’t cope with or experiences to be made in reality. He would in general be very patient with his child and have a good mixture of strictness with gentleness.

He also detest shouting at it, as well as scolding too harshly so he really tries to not do this to make sure he doesn’t damage the relationship with his child. Nonetheless, the child knows when his tone gets stern that it did something wrong and better listens to what its father has to tell them.

As for what he would do together with them, there are a lot of things. Surely he would like to teach the kid a little bit about medicine even if it ends up not wanting to do that for their profession. He thinks it’s good to have some basic medicinal knowledge. He would also take them for some walks and hikes in nature when going out for herbs.

Dr. Ratio🎓

Getting Children is admittedly not really on his radar. He is so focused on work that he tries his best to be there often enough for let alone you, so if you two were to get a child he would have a lot more time to invest into it and sacrifice work time to be here for you and the baby. Especially since he wouldn’t want you to be the only one to need to invest their time into it.

And while that might not be the end of the world, it would bother him to have his pretty good work-life balance smashed together by a little human. Since he is also pretty content with the relationship only being between the two of you.

Yet if you were to listen to his reasons and be able to make a few sacrifices on your side, he would maybe be willing to give you a child. In your pregnancy he would then be there for you to the best of his abilities and care for the little human inside you, yet you can see there is a bit of distance.

But that distance also gets less after the baby is born and has features of him and you. He would fall in love.

He then would be more of a stricter dad. He has read a lot about parenting in books prior yet still wouldn’t fuss to scold the child occasionally if it did something really wrong.

What he would do with the child largely depends on the child’s personality. If he notices the child likes learning and asks him questions about every kind of science then he would be over the moon. If the child turns out to be hating school and academics however.. be prepared to watch him try to cope with that.

If the child would be willing, he would indulge in every childlike imagination with them, explaining the physics of a flying ship, floating water in zero gravity, you name it. If the child is completely disinterested though. He will have a hard time to bond with it, since there is only an emotional component left which is very important and which he could fulfill just fine, but there is no shared passion between them then.

So all in all, he would probably be against getting a child. The chances of him and it not connecting are too big to him to want to try it out because even if you try it and it doesn’t work, he doesn’t want a child to need to suffer under it. He also simply isn’t interested in the major life changes that come with it and admits that he is not cut out to be a parent which is fine too isn’t it?

Il Dottore🧪

You want a child? He would give it to you, what’s the harm in it after all? Most that it would have in store for him is another human he could teach some things about lab work.

But other than concerning himself with it when it comes to work be prepared to raise it on your own. Dottore may be willing to give you a child and help you with giving birth and be there for all the pregnancy related things, but he would more do the minimum rather than the maximum.

But if you agree that you are okay with the minimum and occasional bonding moments he‘d have with the child then there you go!

Maybe he would also deploy one of his clones from time to time to entertain the baby (but please make sure it doesn’t end up in an experiment then :).

If you ever really have all hands full nonetheless and all the clones are with him in an experiment you will get the lucky chance to see Dottore strapped with your little one to the chest walking around the lab with the clones. Which surely is questionable but boy does it look kinda cute.

They all would probably get so distracted by the baby after some point tho that everything is about it and work is forgotten.

Hoyo‘s Doctors when you’re hurt mentally 🌊

Synopsis: Either an event (or maybe a mental illness) happened that made you mentally down, so you stand in their doorframe with a look on your face that tells, at least some of them, everything. But what would they do?

Characters: Baizhu, Dr. Ratio, Il Dottore

A.N.:Oh yeah something happened, I feel it, I need it too.

🌊~_~🌊 ~_~ 🌊 ~_~ 🌊 ~_~ 🌊 ~_~ 🌊 ~_~ 🌊 ~_~ 🌊

Baizhu:🐍

He would see you coming and already know something has come up. No matter if you try to hide it or not. No matter if you only make subtle hints or just stand there like a shell, he will pick up on it. If the latter is the case and you’re just standing there being close to crying, he would say nothing at first, only approach you and pull you into a hug.

If you need to cry he is going to cry in his embrace as long as you want but he’s going to get you to take a seat with him on a sofa so you can calm down more easily. Once you’re calmed down enough he will try to ask you what happened, but if you’re not ready or simply don’t want to talk about it at the given moment he is going to accept it for now and wait until you are ready to tell him.

If he knows anything to make you feel better he is going to provide it for you to the best of his abilities. Like if you decide on wanting to talk about what happened and he knows you have a special dish that makes you feel better, you two can go to the kitchen where can listen to you and cook at the same time.

Dr. Ratio:🎓

He is going to try to get out of you what happened no matter the cost except if he after 10 minutes realizes you really don’t want to talk about it at the given moment. Because if you didn’t want to tell him, that man would feel helpless. How is he supposed to fix the problem if you don’t tell him what it is?

If you do tell him though there is not a guarantee after all, that he could fix it. But with that you have to be careful with this man because if you intend to tell him, then also shoot him with the ‚I only want you to listen and be there for me‘ first (except if you really want the possible solution/s). He is simply that type of guy, he needs you to be direct. Otherwise he will shoot you with what you did/are doing wrong to be in the situation.

If he knows his job is to listen though, he will sit/lay down with you and listen to you, meanwhile hug you or stroke your hair, whatever calms you down. In the end though he would probably already get red like he forgot how to breathe from having to hold back on presenting a solution to you. So if you feel better then, you might find it amusing enough to grant him the possibility to tell you how to go on.

Il Dottore:🧪

Man is honestly not sure what to do. Like the one that would ‚offer you to eat you if you’re sad‘ because he is simply like ‚what do you want me to do‘.

If you told him to just listen to you he would give in though under the condition of if you two could talk while he works in his lab. And to the contrary to what you two had guessed, he is better than both of you would have initially thought. If you rant about something he is going to occasionally tune in and tell his dismay about the situation too. If you’re sad then he is going to gaslight the others in your story on being at fault and after some time he even stops working all together to simply listen to you and shake his head with you about the situations you’re in that make you feel bad.

If you didn’t tell him though he wouldn’t be the kind to go after you. He would simply let you be and wait for you to come to him if you decided on telling him then.

I know this is probably out of character for him, but... Imagine Dr. Ratio being flustered about having a crush, but only when no one is looking. Bonking his head on his desk, writing poetry only to hide it under various books, getting snappy and mean with others because he's so confused over his own feelings. YES! JUST YES!

Honestly I had a thing in my drafts and I wanted to pin point it too so thank you for getting that stone rolling. I don’t actually believe it would be so much out of character for him!

Veritas Ratio would be agitated. A crush? On a normal person? It cannot be. He was set on dying alone, toxically thinking no one could ever match his intellect, so he would surely never fall for anyone would he?

Oh he was so wrong. When he met his crush he instantly viewed his crush as an ordinary person. A person that wouldn’t play a big part in his life’s strategy. Well you can give him 0 points for that because that mindset was gonna be obsolete when he finds out this person possesses an ability that he finds fascinating, utterly fascinating.

Like his crush f.e. being extremely good with emotions, just being very kind, or having any other personality trait that makes them special, that makes them themselves. Also preferably a trait that he doesn’t have, at least not this strongly.

For example, he might be creative to some point, but if he met his crush who had their own imaginative view of the world, that probes him to change his perspective from time to time. Also with a person that is not a genius there would maybe come a certain simplicity to said perspectives which he could find fascinating either.

But nevertheless the reason, because as we all know, love just strikes at the most coincidental moments with the most different of people:

He would still be confused. Himself a man of pure focus that is really never wavering suddenly finds himself to be staring inside his book and committing a (at least to him) sin, by only reading superficially. All while he also then catches himself to suddenly just let his eyes run over the paragraphs, thinking he is reading but in the meantime his thoughts run back towards his crush.

Poor man read enough books about it to know what it is for sure so at first he’d be the kind to gaslight himself out of it.

„No you are not in love, they are just a nice person, this is it. You are thinking about what they did that made you think about them, not them personally.“

Save to say that doesn’t work long and then, like this dear anon said he would hit that head on the tabletop, or sink under the water of the bathtub. Because he realizes he has no chance in fighting this.

And Veritas, a man of reason, would search for said one. He would do a complete psycho analysis first of himself and then of his crush to find out what about them makes him go oh ever so crazy.

Because he simply couldn’t continue to work this distracted. He feels like a fish out of water. Also we know he is not the kind of person that would leave this untouched. He might be embarrassed but he knew if he couldn’t continue his work productively soon then he might get an existential crisis.

So he copes with it, not sure if with poetry (if so he would do it in Latin to make sure no one accidentally reads it ;) or also, and he really really thinks 10 times about it before giving in to his love wrecked brain’s desires, sculpting his crush.

His students would be confused with him as well because they might just find him to be a pinch too less strict. So when he is distracted with thoughts of his crush he might let one or two mistakes slide. But everyone knows to better not ask him about it, or he is going to snap.

All in all he is going to try to get closer to his crush then, to find out more about what they did to him. And while he might also do that to desperately find flaws in his crush, it would just make him fall harder…

Quality time and acts of service

Loveable man spends long hours in the pharmacy every day, sees patients tends to their problems, looks for function of certain limbs so I believe he gets a lot of general human contact through his job. So therefore I feel like he would still enjoy cuddling for sure, but it would be his priority.

Same goes for giving gifts and words of affirmation. He surely likes giving you gifts and telling you how good you’re doing at something, but to him personally, there are just things he values so much more!

Like when the two of you spend the evening or morning together simply talking while drinking tea. Or if you decide to join him for meditation before the pharmacy opens up in the morning. If you listen to him telling you about some patients he encountered today, it all adds to his liking for quality time with you.

And if you connect it with little acts of service, like helping him sort herbs, or bringing him something he needs while in an examination with a patient, he will be in love.

Dr. Ratio 🎓

Physical Touch and Quality time

I honestly wished he could give words of affirmation but I feel like he is bad at it. (Please teach him a few vocabularies on that part) Because it might be a little too obvious, but even though you’re not his student, he still has a hard time finding things affirm them with. So all in all, a rare occurrence to hear very affirming words from him, but at least you can be sure you’re one of the only ones that ever got them then :,)

When it comes to gifts and acts of service I can see him liking it to some point. He sees meaning in a gift that comes from you if you put your thoughts and heart into it. As well as he likes you doing some acts of service for him, but acts of service are likely able to go into the ‚could you solve that equation for me‘ which he would know is something he can’t ask, so he is good about it.

But physical affection and quality time? Oh lord.

It might just be my thinking, but I believe this man is touch deprived. (I mean the only touch he really gets is the book and the chalk- which definitely don’t do the job) So when you offer to cuddle him or take a bath with him, he is over the moon.

And if you connect that with quality time as well then you even manage 2 things in one go! Cuddling while talking, listening to each other, or simply staying silent while reading a book. It really helps him recharge with you by his side.

Il Dottore🧪

Gift giving and Acts of service

Wouldn’t find much use for physical touch and words of affirmation. If you want to cuddle and get a little bit of affirmative words he’s not going to deny your wish but it’s visibly hard for him to come up with something to say that is not making you feel worse, so personally i advise against that :,)

When it comes to quality time though he is unsure, because if you come into his lab and ask him about everything he is doing and what this and that machine does he can’t help but enjoy that time spent with you and proudly show you everything around the room.

But that’s still nothing against gift giving and acts of service. Let’s say you’re out and about and suddenly stumble upon an ancient relic in one of Sumerus markets. You take it back to him and he’s going to be all over it and love you for bringing (gifting) it to him. Basically like you brought a new toy he can tinker on home with you which also connects to acts of service.

Let’s say you know your way around his lab and the way he likes to work, so when he is gone somewhere to maybe conduct an experiment, you already put out a few papers and a pen to spare him of the action upon his return, and while it may be just a small action, he really greatly appreciates you for it.

Hoyo‘s Doctors when you have learning difficulties 📚

Synopsis: You truly struggle with learning and they try to find ways to help you grasp the concept of learning and the topic at hand better.

Characters: Baizhu, Dr. Ratio, Il Dottore

A.N: Please tell me I’m not the only one who struggles with this~

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this is not written having people with learning disabilities in mind. Though everyone might start from 0, anyone dealing with this has an even harder time learning and for that matter the situation would simply be different. :)

Baizhu 🐍

Not the expert when it comes to learning on a broad spectrum. He knows how it worked for him to kinda memorize all the different herbs and remedies, but he also knows that his way of learning might not work for you.

Nonetheless he is determined to help you find a way to memorize things better.

He would probably base his deductions on learning types tho. So before anything, he would try to figure out which kind of learner you are (visual, auditory, etc.). Once he has that, he would try to help you by applying that learning type to your topics as well as he could help.

Need him to read it to you? Need him to simply sit there and listen to you? If he’s got the time after work, he will gladly offer it to you!

Dr. Ratio🎓

This man… is the personification of learning. So save to say, when you gave that doctor a call you did the right thing.

But be prepared, he will be shocked and gaslight you at first.

„What do you mean you can’t learn? Everybody can, you just have to learn how to learn and memorize first.“

But after his initial shock he will try to help you. He will give you a book that apparently teaches how to learn to learn, but you tell him that in order to understand that book you’d need to already understand how to learn.

Save to say you can see him dying on the inside a little before he regains his composure and tells himself how you are genuinely trying. He will then try to find out what your problem is on why you really can’t remember that well and then give you a bit more motivation to read the book after explaining what you can do about your suspected initial problem and return should you have more questions.

Il Dottore🧪

„Simple, you write it down and then look at it until it’s in your brain.“ While that may be simple for him, it’s basically no use to you. So you tell him and he is a bit nonchalant. It doesn’t work for you? Then go and search for someone else that can help you, or has another idea.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that this discourages you and he sees that. So to try at least a little more, he tries to understand what the problem is.

Should it be missing focus he might be able to give you a vial of a self brewed remedy that help you stick to the topic again. But if it’s nothing that can be fixed with a pat on the shoulder or a glowing liquid?

He is going to tell you it’s out of his radar.

„But if you ever find out your problem is simply lack of visuals and you’re learning chemistry or biology/anatomy… I might have some descriptive experiments you could attend.“

At least he can say he tried :(

Synopsis: You get hurt by something that has you whining in pain and call for them to help you. (Like, idk an Insect sting, books fell on your head, you tripped in the shower, etc. you name it :)

A.N:Thank the 🐝 that stung my damn foot and lost its life to that. It truly inspired me on a painful level.

Baizhu 🐍

Oh this man would be there for you. Rush to your side and calm you down first and foremost. Yet he would try to get what happened out of you fast so he knows if he needed to get something fast to ease your pain. Even if it doesn’t look like an emergency.

After he figured out what’s wrong he will try his best to ease your pain to the best of his ability, either by being there for you and easing it by his mere presence or bringing you things to make it better, or simply both altogether until you’re better.

Dr. Ratio🎓

He would be a little concerned, yet not as much as Baizhu. He is a bit more detached, or more nonchalant because he is confident he can deal with whatever it is that’s giving you troubles. Also trying to keep up the doctor mindset of ‚Don’t panic, everything’s under control’. If it is something he needs medicine or bandages to help you, he’s going to get it and is basically a professional at first aid.

Will pick you up and carry you to a doctor (specialized in medicine) though, if his amateuric professionalism tells him it’s something he can’t take care of.

Il Dottore 🧪

He, or one of his clones would walk by and casually ask you what happened and what you need. Can it be fixed with medicine? Or can it be fixed with mere attention and (played?) sympathy?

In any case he’s probably gonna pick you up, and carry you to the others, in the best case you have a few clones to be there at your every command should you require mere presence to whine about what happened to you. They will sit there and give you sympathy. Honestly it’s kinda funny to some point after they sit there and go like „Oh no that’s awful!“ „Can we bring you something?“ „It shouldn’t have happened to you, your frail body isn’t made of steel like ours, had it happened to us it would be fine now.“

It’s gonna make you feel better for sure to see em there like that trying to make you feel better.

Hey there!

Already thought about not having captured all hoyo doctors in that, after all thinking about Star rail now, I’d also miss Nat and Bailu. I just read about the two characters and they would fit the description, but sadly I have never played Hi3 :(

So as for now, I have no idea on how they would react in certain circumstances because I don’t know them enough and I don’t feel like I can write something that serves them right, I’m sorry :(

But maybe I will play it someday and can add it then! Maybe also the women :>

Hoyo‘s Doctors as your psychiatrist/therapists:📋

Synopsis: A therapist/psychologist is a person that listens to your thoughts and feelings and resolves problems through talking. A psychiatrist on the other hand relies on medications to treat an mental illness.

Characters: Baizhu, Dr. Ratio, Il Dottore

AN:I love the trinity of them and since y’all enjoyed the sleeping headcanons I brought something new again! It’s kinda wholesome.

Baizhu🐍

He is really listening to everything in such an empathic way, he tries his best to validate your feelings and it would be in his expertise to show you how to deal with them.

His priorities would lay in making you recognize how you feel about given situations and help you setting boundaries. He would also dive deeper into childhood events that caused certain behaviors and traumas.

I can kinda see him having a therapy animal(not just Changsheng, you can also cuddle her, but maybe he also has a fluffy cat, or dog) . Like a calm pet that will simply lay with you and help you relax so you open up to him (only if you wanted it tho, otherwise he’ll keep it away ;)

Without a doubt he would be on the therapist/psychologist side.

Dr. Ratio🎓

The problem solver par excellence.

He fairly doesn’t do much about your feelings. Don’t get me wrong, he will definitely listen to you tell him about them, and validate them. He will also take them into the equation of solving your problem, but his main focus would be to solve the problem and come up with ways to solve them, as well as ways how you can cope with them should they not be able to be solved at the given moment.

So while he kinda works more like a psychologist he would also have the qualifications to prescribe some medication, yet if he would feel like he needs someone with a broader spectrum on that topic he would send you to:

Il Dottore🧪

Out of all 3 probably the one that is mostly focused on treating the problem through medications, so leaning towards psychiatrist.

But he is hella good at that, like really, that man knows so many substances that there are no limits to finding the perfect description. In 90% of the time he gets a perfect substance for your problems, but in the other 10%? Don’t worry about coming to him and telling him the medication didn’t do what you would have hoped it would do. He will probably find something better then according to the symptoms you mention.

If you were discouraged by one kind of medicine not working he would subtly try to make you feel better by blaming him,or the medicine in a humorous way so you see it’s not your fault for the medicine not working.

„Really it’s not your fault the stupid medicine didn’t take effect. I should have just known better and taken -sets new medicine on the table- this one all along.“

Hoyo’s Doctors sleeping headcanons: ✨🌙

Synopsis: How they sleep and what their sleeping habits are like!

Characters: Il Dottore, Baizhu, Dr. Ratio

A.N: Know these 3 by heart, so I took em. I couldn’t hold back the fun of writing down what would be way too obvious and came to my mind first, so don’t worry I just had my fun in the indented paragraph.

Il Dottore 🧪

Falls asleep on the lab chair. (Or doesn’t sleep at all (I mean set aside from the fact that he’s a doll/robot, evil never sleeps :>))

Honestly, I don’t think that the guess that he doesn’t even need sleep is so far off. The original surely needed it, but the segments we see? They might go more into standby mode if at all. I feel like it’s likely they maybe would simply think or organize data in this meditative state. So while on the outside it looks like they are sleeping they are still active on the inside.

Baizhu 🐍

Would fall asleep at his desk and the next morning have herbs in his hair like a flower girl at a wedding.

Baizhu surely does late nights at the pharmacy, after all it’s the only real time when he can either prepare for the next day or do more research on how to make new medicine or get further towards his goal.

Thus, it varies when he goes to bed. He will probably try not to make it all too late since he wants to be (rather fully) awake for his patients in the next morning. Nonetheless tries to go to bed and not fall asleep at the desk since he knows his muscles would hurt the next day.

Dr.Ratio🎓

Thinks he doesn’t need to sleep when reading through the 5th book of calculus that day but ends up falling asleep in the bathtub.

In reality, he knows sleep is important and while his abilities might suggest differently, he is still a human that needs it. So to keep his mind healthy, he gets good 7 and a half hours of sleep each night. Preferably at the same time so his circadian rhythm is not destroyed.

An: I am sick so we have to make the best of it :( also included wanderer before his glow up and la signora because I like my harbingers all together, but since I feel like I cannot say anything about Pulcinella, Columbina and Sandrone I left them out, I still hope you’ll like it!

I feel like he would look at you and tell you to go and rest, but that’s about it. Maybe you get a pat on your head or shoulder in sympathy.

Il Dottore:

3.5-4?/10

When you’re like, nearly dead? and come to him into his lab in the hopes he can give you medicine. He thinks the sight is pathetic :(

Would help you though and tell you to sit down while gets you some poisonous looking medicine (it probably unfairly works tho). But you’re still burning up so you crave a bit more of a hug. It annoys him (but if you persist in staying annoying to him) he might give you a segment of him that you can use as a plushie for your own comfort if not himself.

Arlecchino:

7/10

I mean hello? Father?

This woman would take her time for you. If you tell her you really need someone to cuddle you, she will agree, why not after all?

Only one condition, she might want to do some work in the meantime which could be anything from reading, to writing and commanding fatui agents, as well as her children around.

But if you commit to laying on the couch next to her not bothering her too much, mommy/father is gonna take care of you while laying by the fireplace. :>

Scaramouche:

5/10

Would also be annoyed.

„Why don’t you get lost in your room and rest there? You’re a drag when you’re sick.“ But you don’t want to go to your room you want affection.

So after long minutes of persuading, he might give in, depending on if he likes you or not.

If he gives in and lets you cuddle him, he’s going to make comments about being annoyed, (all while that man‘s got the joker, puppets surely won’t catch a cold) Yet you don’t care and let him talk because you know that behind all the complaints, he likes it a bit.

La signora:

5/10

This one is tricky, I feel like she would be a little like Scaramouche, also saying she doesn’t want to, but should she give in she might find it slightly pleasant and let’s it play a bit into her Ego, other than Scara who would feel it in affection mostly.

Pantalone:

7/10

If you ask him and he is not out for business, I wouldn’t see what keeps him from it. Especially if you’d be at home with him in that luxurious house. He’d at least stay with you until you’re asleep before heading back to his desk to deal with some contracts. Maybe he’ll send someone to fetch him a soup or anything he would know makes you feel better so when you wake up and want to cuddle again, he could also give you something he knows you like to make you feel better.

Tartaglia:

10/10

This man…, you want cuddles, you’re sick? He’s got your back. Just call him up and he’ll try to finish business as fast as possible to come over and help you get better again. Honestly a sweetheart :(

Il Capitano:

2/10

I believe he wouldn’t cuddle you because he is more into battling something somewhere (maybe Natlan). But on the other hand he wouldn’t be too opposed to making you feel a bit better and comforting you so he would ask you if you wanna come along to Natlan and watch him there!

I mean might not be what you asked for but at least it’s gonna be warmer than Snezhnaya. :)
