Linguistics is fun. Did you know that 'king' and 'gender' are etymologically related
#king comes from old english cynning which comes from cynn meaning 'kind / kin'#king meaning something like 'of the kin' iirc#and that ultimately comes from a PIE 'word' meaning 'to beget' or smth#which goes thru latin to become genus. and french genre both meaning type or family or kingroup#and thats where we get english gender#apparently cynn can also mean gender. neat

Cherokee double wall basket purse - commercial round and flat reed, wooden button, macrame cord.
Mixing patterns can create some interesting outcomes, that's how I found the 3 runner pattern that you see here with the black and turquoise. But it can also lead to a basket spine not fitting and having to be hidden lol 🤫 . I had a lot of fun with the colors for this commission.
