Oh man, I really did not think I had this strong of opinions about this but Gobber Buck is SO wrong to me like, it is so incredibly incorrect & I'm so sorry 😭😭

Like, logically, yes, I totally see where you're coming from, 100%, it even works with the leg thing!!! But it's not about logic, it's about ✨VIBES✨, and Buck and Gobber absolutely do not have the same vibe. Like, okay, Buck & Chris have similar vibes, right? They point it out throughout the show, and that's why they both work for Hiccup. Astrid and Stoick also have similar vibes, again, shown throughout the franchise, which is why Eddie could work for either of them, depending on the story you're going for.

Gobber & Buck do not have the same vibe, nor is the weirdness of Buddie's canon relationship similar in practice to Stoick & Gobber's. in theory, maybe, if you were just looking at the very bare bones of the relationships on paper, but to see them each actually play out on screen is just. So incorrect to me & I'm truly so sorry 😭🤣

Okay, so I love Hiccup!Buck & Astrid!Eddie, BUT I’m rewatching RTTE & there was a scene w Hiccup & Stoick riding together on Toothless, & now I’m thinking about Christopher!Hiccup and Stoick!Eddie bc can you IMAGINE CHRISTOPHER AS HICCUP???? IS THAT NOT SO LOVELY???

I have no idea who the other characters would be or how Buddie would fit into that with Stoick & Valka, and then with Shannon, bc she’d be a super cool fit w Valka, given their stories, IDK AAAHHHH. I love HTTYD a lot & Buddie is my fav and I’m spinning around & around with them lol.
