Bugaboo + Pendleton Collections

A big, warm, welcome to the newest special collection. This time, we turned to Pendleton Woolen Mills for Native American heritage inspired designs, a collaboration that consists of one of a kind stroller accessories and blankets. Pendleton has been recognized worldwide for its classic American style, authenticity and for its legacy of luxury fabrics and quality.

The Bugaboo + Pendleton bold- colored collection consists of a variety of stroller accessory sets each complete with a luxurious 100% pure virgin wool blanket. All stroller accessories have a pattern that represents a story from the North, South, East, and West parts of America that display beautiful stripes, shapes and colors that will sure to be this season’s urban eye-catcher that parents won’t want to miss out on.

The tailored fabric set and the sun canopy prints vary with each stroller. The Crossroads design for the Bugaboo Cameleon3 reflects the power of the four directions making it a perfect print of the multi-terrain stroller. The Jacquard design is rugged and recognizable with its grey and deep red tones throughout its pattern. Pendleton infuses the Spirit of the Peoples pattern for the Bugaboo Bees accessory set. Plaids and tartans are the most recognized designs within the brand, most specifically the red and black pattern, Rob Roy, this historic pattern seemed the ideal fit for the Bugaboo Donkey.

3 Questions to Jarno - #BEEINTHECITY

If you've seen the latest #beeinthecity from Amsterdam, you couldn't have missed our main characters, Jarno and his son Phoenix. We asked this cool family guy a few questions about him being a dad, and his ideal day. 

How did you get to work with Bugaboo #beeinthecity?

I was approached for this film and didn’t take long for me to consider. As a fresh dad, I thought it would be great to make a film about me and Phoenix spending time together in the first stages of his life. I like to go out together to see all the beautiful places Amsterdam has to offer - this special period is so much fun to capture. I hope we continue to do so, as Phoenix gets older.

We worked with a number of agencies for the end result, but the shooting days were really awesome and a lot of fun. I hope everyone enjoys the movie as much as we did shooting it.

What’s your ideal day like?

Well, the most ideal day is spending time with my closest friends on Ibiza, haha! But not every day is a holiday, so my ideal day is a bit different. In our family we have a small tradition on Saturday mornings.  We wake up, and just relax in bed, reading a newspaper and after that we’ll have a extensive long breakfast that takes all morning. If it's a beautiful day, we like to go outside. We love it to stroll around, have a coffee somewhere and explore new places. Delicious and healthy food is important to us, so that’s definitely something that’s on the menu for the evening!  It might not sound very special, but it's more about the quality time I spend with my family. Occasionally Esther and I also have a weekend all to ourselves, just the two of us. Daily life goes by so quickly, it’s important to keep an eye out for each other. You can get easily distracted by all daily activities. 

What surprised you the most about fatherhood?

Before I became a dad, I was warned with many horror stories about how your life will be changed forever and how limited you are once you have a baby. But actually our lives remained pretty much the same – I didn’t expect that. Of course we have to think about Phoenix and his needs, but we still live our lives. We continue to do great things, and enjoy spending time together. Overall it remains quite the same, but more enriched.

The 2nd hunt was such a great adventure! We completed the first days of the Snowman Trek in Bhutan. This is one of the hardest high altitude treks, but an incredible experience for anyone who takes the challenge. During this trek we watched the breathtaking sunset on Mt. Jhomolhari. The Bugaboo Buffalo was hidden on top of this mountain. Our inspiration for the clues: Bhutan is one of the world's most beautiful regions, a tiny kingdom nestling between India and China. Anyone planning to go on Bhutan treks will surely have heard of the Yeti, according to legends the Yeti smells like garlic. The country is also known for its stubborn yaks and the legend of the king that wanted to remove the top of a mountain because it blocked the sun. The national flag of Bhutan features Druk, the Thunder Dragon. Bhutan offers an opportunity to glimpse another way of living, an alternative vision of what is truly important in life. Today we’re opening our first BRAND STORE worldwide in the heart of Amsterdam, in our home country The Netherlands. The store, located near one of Amsterdam’s busiest shopping streets, will house all Bugaboo strollers, specials and accessories in an inspirational environment. In spring 2013, Bugaboo introduces two new collections. Andy Warhol’s well-known iconic 'Flowers' are used in The Flowers Collection while the lesser known and playful 'Cars' are featured in The Cars Collection. The Flowers and Cars Collections include a tailored fabric set for the Bugaboo Cameleon³ and the Bugaboo Donkey and a Bugaboo Sun Canopy for the Bugaboo Bee. We’ve got an important message for owners of Bugaboo Cameleon3 strollers with specific serial numbers S/N 190101115300001 to S/N 190105124800215. We like to reach out to you to provide you with a replacement rotating carry handle at no cost.

The Bugaboo Cameleon³ is compliant to all international regulatory safety standards. However, a small number of customer reports and our own follow-up testing confirm that in the case of these specific Bugaboo Cameleon3 strollers the carry handle connectors may break, presenting a falling hazard. Carry handle connectors connect the carry handle to the carrycot or seat. No injuries have been reported.

If you own a Bugaboo Cameleon³, please check if your serial number is listed on   www.bugaboo.com/cameleon3carryhandle to determine if your stroller is affected. Here you also find all information how to obtain the new rotating carry handle at no cost, as well as the contact details of Bugaboo’s customer service teams in case you have any additional questions.
