What do you think would happen if like. The Fun Gang learned about your ability to SAVE and LOAD (assuming Kris doesn't know Ralsei does but he can't tell when you do it) and you told them that this is far from your first adventure with them for better or worse.

ok not to discard this prompt bc it's very fun, just, i'm finding it hard to visualize any scenario with the player communicating with deltarune's characters, assuming that's what referred to here with "you". i like to think that our input as a player should not be taken to a literal extent; rather that kris is dealing with an insurmountable amount of trauma too great to process at their age, and so it manifests as detachment from both their person and reality. the soul and surrounding game mechanics are not literally us but rather what we stand in to represent.

bc the thing is, at a certain point when experiencing constant, overbearing stress (trauma) the mind finds it too much to handle and can detach from those feelings in order to continue functioning, but its like... not really functioning? to detach to such a degree requires also removing yourself from most emotional & internal experience as a whole, which can then lead to a lot of confusion as to if what you're thinking, saying, doing, feeling is actually you--if those things are real, if they matter--since you experience these emotions and thoughts as a foreign entity. thus i read the soul as a representation of those complicated emotions and memories from which kris is protecting themself from. i'm not sure if that is making any sense outside of my own head? my experience with depersonalization/derealization at their age was not overtly severe but it does have me looking at kris like... "ohhh... well, i mean yeah"

and to relinquish attachment from your own internal soul is to assume you have no autonomy over yourself, that you are at the whims of external forces which you are just trying to survive, alone.

so when i read this question theres 2 things here to me

to think of what this may stand for as a representation of how kris interprets their relationship with reality & autonomy rather than a literal interpretation of Us saving/loading

to think foremost what susie's response would be bc while kris & ralsei parallel each other (in turn helping each other to heal) susie is the foil which pushes them to action -> to hope -> to feel.

i remember susie's reaction to ralsei's breakdown about not being real/weight of the prophecy, and i'm like. i don't know what she would say honestly? but i do know that she would love her friends eternally regardless of whatever crazy meta-narrative stuff is going on; i mean she punches the end of the prophecy in the face lmao. i think when confronted with nihilism and determinism (two modes of thought which susie survived with for so long, now for the first time told she has Love Hope and Choice and refuses to let go of those) or, in this case with "this adventure is not our first nor our last";

susie represents that regardless of if this means anything or not, or if we will forget and do the same things over again, then so be damned. this love and hope that i have is always something i can imagine and choose and thus create

This may be a sorta strange art question but how do you embrace your style? It’s so full of shapes and childhood nostalgia to me! I feel like I have such a hard time branching out and trying things like that, do you ever worry about experimentation and if it won’t look good?

it's not a strange question at all, i think all questions r worthwhile :-D

i don't like to worry myself on what the end result will be these days... i think the real meat of a drawing is the process. maybe that's where experimentation comes from, when you're engrossed in where your pen is right now, playing around with where you can go with it like a kid poking at things with a stick. my feelings when coming up drawing ideas today, they feel about the same as when i was roleplaying or building on minecraft as a kid lol. i'm playing with my touys and i study a lot so one day i can be like Advanced playing with my touys. but i still have a long way to go. so i just focus on where i am today, and the time will pass

you're gonna make a lot of drawings you're not satisfied with, this feeling will never quite go away. i think maybe that feeling is what drives us to keep drawing anyways, an itch that gets somewhat scratched but never fully. so may as well have fun, nothing bad is gonna happen if u try something new :>

YES well specifically tenna and suzy hang out :) they are friends.. she makes him feel like he has an audience as for noelle and spamton.. i dont think they would really meet before monsterkind went to the surface , but i dont know! maybe dess and noelle would explore and get lost occasionally and end up coming across him
