The 9th Bughead Fanfiction Awards are approaching the great Pop’s Chock’Lit Shoppe in the sky! As always, we appreciate the opportunity to celebrate the creators and their breathtaking work (for real doing the actual work when canon is mostly…well you know), and we’ve got an incredible amount of talent included from the past year! No joke. Where would we be without everyone?!

You may vote up to three times for your favorite in each category on the official voting form. Voting will be open until March 22nd at 6pm EST, 11pm GMT, 9am AEST (23 March). Winners will be announced several days later!

RULES

To promote variety in nominations, a fic & author may only be nominated for a maximum of 2 categories each. If either is nominated for more than 2 categories, the final categories will be decided based on how many votes each category received, and only the top 2 will be selected.

Likewise, each nominated fic or author may only win 1 award each during the voting round.  Whichever category receives the most votes will win the award—subsequent category wins will go to the runner-up.

All fics must have an initial publish date between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021.

If a fic has been nominated, or won, in any previous Bughead Fanfiction Awards, it will not be eligible for nomination this round.

Nominations through our inboxes or replying to this post will not count. Please use the Google Form only.

Each fic/content creator only needs to be nominated once to continue onto the voting round.

If you bribe your readers for votes in exchange for “prizes,” eg. faster updates, you will be disqualified. Still cannot believe I have to put this on here.

Hello, fandoms of the internet!

This has been a long time coming, and Shop Upon A Fandom is finally a dream made real, planned up over the last 3 years by Cat, @bettycooper, & Sarah, @theheavycrown. We are so excited to finally share it with you, our people, the passionate fandom lovers of the world.

Exciting things are coming to this space which will encompass our many fangirl passions in a wide array of products. Start following now to take this journey with us. At first, we will primarily be sharing work in progress art & items we work on, bringing you that behind the scenes content. (Spoiler alert: LOTS of enemies to lovers…we know what we are about.)

When our fanfic authors could use some extra love and we could use some extra fic recs to read… It’s time for another round of Bughead Review Round Robin! We are focusing on non-canon related AU’s this round, coffee shops, offices, photographers, and anything else under the sun that’s totally removed from Riverdale canon. It’s time to read some fics that are 100% fanon!

A Short Version of How it’s Going to Work:

The BRRR is a read and review fest that welcomes all fans of Bughead fanfic. Each person who signs up will submit two Bughead-centric non-canon AUs that they would like to recommend for some extra comment love. For this round, recommended fics must not be written by the person submitting them. You will be placed in a group of 4-5 members, including a group leader, to read and review fics together ‘round robin’ style. Your group will be assigned a fic once a week on Tuesday to read and leave a thoughtful, kind, and detailed comment on that designated fic by the following Monday. Rinse and repeat for 4-5 weeks.

Everything you need to know about this round, including guidelines, requirements, and the sign up form are below the cut! Sign ups are open now and close on February 12th. The round will begin on February 16th.
