‘ stay with me tonight? ’
‘ don’t talk. save your strength. ’
‘ hey, i’ve got you. it’s okay. ’
‘ i’ll be right here. don’t worry. ’
‘ i think we’re done. ’
‘ hold my hand. ’
‘ it’s all been a lie, hasn’t it? ’
‘ we’re out of time. ’
‘ you’ll always be a friend. ’
‘ just hold me. ’
‘ i have to leave you behind. i’m sorry. ’

The Vishkar workers quickly fell into place next to the cargo, Satya bringing up the rear to make sure the transfer went as smoothly as possible. The vehicle hatch opened, and the employees picked up the cargo and began to make their way towards the transfer point. Satya trailed behind, eyes scanning the area for any sign of a threat that could interrupt the proceedings at the last minute. The sight of the Raptora pilots made her feel a little more secure, but there were still leftover nerves from her encounter with the mob bouncing around in the pit of her stomach.
The transfer went as smoothly as planned, and as the cargo was rolled into the Vishkar compound, Satya turned to the Raptora pilots and signalled for them to land. “You all performed exceptionally today. We’ll discuss payment, and then your squad can return to Helix.”
buildingutopaea:
The vehicle inched further towards the destination, and Satya breathed a small sigh of relief, getting to her feet. She was glad that the mission had run smoothly after the fiasco earlier. The other Vishkar employees in the vehicle began hurrying around, double-checking that the cargo was safe and monitoring the final stages through the monitors on board. She could see the security team through the monitors, and Captain Amari’s commands sounded loud and clear in her earpiece. It was go-time.
The vehicle began to park itself, and Satya leaned out the window, nervously watching it inch into position. The Vishkar employees prepared for disembarking, sliding the cargo into position. She righted herself and strode over to the intercom, sending a quick message to the security team. “Raptora pilots, is the area secure?” she asked. “The team onboard is ready to begin disembarking procedures.”
Fareeha waited just a little before responding, watching her team settle into position. “Yes ma’am.” She reported, hand signaling for her men to land and escort on foot. “Disembark with ten second intervals.” Fareeha instructed, her team pairing off to escort the groups of people who would get off. “Cargo will be escorted mid team.” She reminded both Vishkar and Helix workers, the men falling in line with Fareeha in the middle.
Saleh was assigned to open the door. “Final sensor check.” Fareeha holds up a fist, her Raptora systems scanning the area again. “We’re good to go.” She said, putting her arm down as a signal for Saleh to allow acess to Vishkar employees to disembark the vehicle.

Fact 1:The mun currently co-owns a budgie named Marvin, who’s best described as a noisy little shit.
Fact 2: Mun cosplays, most of them being from Homestuck (I know I know I’m trash I’m sorry I know members of the rp communities have had problems with Homestuck in the past), with a few from Hetalia and Free!. I’ve been attending cons in my hometown since about 2015, and am currently planning a Dragon Symmetra cosplay!Fact 3: Mun is absolutely obsessed with tea, and has an entire shelf full of tea from this one brand I like. I drink mostly green, with some chai and black varieties, and Iced tea on occasion.

Fact 1:The mun’s a huuuuuge fan of Japanese history and culture, both traditional and modern. I’ve been fascinated with it since I was in primary school thanks to action-adventure novels I used to read that were set in Japan, and stuff like Pokemon and a few other anime series fueled this. It’s one of the reasons I’m studying Japanese, and the want to study Japanese was the reason I picked my current highschool.
Fact 2: I can often get so absorbed in interests that I forget to eat, go to sleep at a reasonable hour and take showers. It’s something I really need to work on, ehehe.

The mun’s big dream at the moment is to spend time in a city abroad while it’s snowing. I don’t get any snow where I live, and have only encountered it when visiting ski resorts. To just walk through a place where everything’s covered in snow seems so magical, and it’s something I need to experience before I die.

The news that Vishkar would begin working with Talon was not well received by many of the architechs, including Satya herself. She’d always preferred to work alone, and, after reading about some of the organisation’s... exploits, she had stubbornly refused to associate with.
To her surprise, her superiors chose her to establish connections with one of Talon’s scientists- alone, and for some stupid reason, Sanjay had insisted on sending her during the ungodly hours of the morning. Running on a cup of coffee and three hours of sleep while sneaking through the Talon compound definitely wasn’t ideal, but she’d learned long ago that she’d have to work with whatever strange plans her superiors gave her.
The Talon compound was a bit darker and dingier than Vishkar’s, in her opinion, and was surprisingly quiet. Making her way down to the labs, Satya glanced at a clock on the wall and sighed. 3:15 am. She should be back at the Utopaea compound by now, asleep.
It took her a while to find it, but she eventually arrived outside the office she’d been assigned to, knocking on the door.
“Is anyone awake?” she called out, her heart pounding. “I come from the Vishkar Corporation to discuss our... alliance.”
Long days, long nights. It wasn’t like she wasn’t used to them. Fox was half certain she’d spent more time in her lab than in her flat and office combined.
She’d only gotten the notice on their collaboration with Vishkar a couple days back. She knew, no matter how overworked she was now, she was going to be feeling much worse by the end of the week.
A knock at her door roused her from an involuntary trajectory that would likely have resulted in her use of glassware as a pillow. Shaking her head, she glanced at the clock and made to open the door.
3:15 am
At least none of her test subjects were screaming.

((might as well expand on why I haven’t been around lately, so I’ll put reasons under the cut
slight tw for negativity and mentions of mental illness))
O K
So you guys probably know that I’ve been MIA for about two weeks now, only showing up occasionally to like stuff and maybe follow new blogs. I didn’t really give you guys any explanation other than waning muse, so I thought I’d at least give you the liberty of knowing why I’m away.
-Reason 1 was primarily a drop in muse. I ended up pouring all my energy into Overwatch during the Halloween event and came out of it feeling so drained and wanting a change from the same old games day in and day out. I’ve barely played Overwatch since October (some bad experiences during my first time in competitive, exams and feeling like the game was stagnating being the main reasons.) This doesn’t mean I’ve been losing interest in the lore, but shortly after putting out a plotting call, I just didn’t feel like I had the energy to put out replies consistently for the time being. That and the lack of Symmetra-related content in the lore didn’t really help either. I’ve just come out of a super busy year and need the two months off school to rest.
-Mental health is another big reason. Partly due to school stress, my anxiety levels have been rising a lot, and I’ve started to show some depressive symptoms as well, according to an assessment I did with my psychologist last Friday. I’ve lost a lot of interest in RPing at the moment because of this, and have only really been able to maintain a presence in this one Discord RP server with close friends.
-I’m also going to try focusing on producing more of my original writing with original ideas and characters over the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I love fan content, and it’s been a good way to keep writing when I’ve lost muse for my stories, but I’ve hit a creative block both for this blog and my Symbra fic over on AO3, and I’ve barely been writing the two novel ideas I’ve been working on this year, so I’m going to use these two months for that.
So that’s everything, I guess. This doesn’t mean I won’t be RPing again ever- I might pop back and do some replies sporadically, but I really need this time to rest. If you’ve read all this, thanks for doing so, I hope you’re not too mad at me for leaving, and I’ll hopefully see you guys again soon.
((Apologies again y’all, but my muse is waning, so I’m putting this blog on a semi-hiatus until it returns))

((Aight I’m gonna do it! Bunch of my personal Symmetra hcs/backstory interpretation under the cut. If I remember to, I’ll update this if I can think of more.))
Autism-related (As an autistic person myself I really wanted to explore how her experiences shaped the way she interacts with her autism and her environment. Some of this is projecting tho not gonna lie whoops) -Was taught that stimming wasn't acceptable while at Vishkar, so she's learned to stim really discretely -favourite stims include playing with hard-light, drumming her fingers on things and rocking back and forth on her heels (when she can) -Is kinda touch-sensitive and can't wear certain fabrics (her Vishkar uniforms have been modified by a friendly coworker.) -favourite textures: the soft mesh stuff her dress is made out of, satin/other silky fabrics and denim (mostly jackets). She's not a fan of stiff fabrics or really heavy clothing -Special interests include hard light manipulation, traditional Indian dance, anything revolving around architecture (especially drawing up blueprints- the patterns help her relax) and cooking, to some degree (it gives her control over what goes in her food so she doesn't get any icky tastes.) -Can't stand bitter flavours or anything super grainy (like that slurry of sugar in the bottom of your teacup). -Favourite same foods include chai (she usually makes a cup before starting work), yoghurt (*smoooth*), slow-cooked meat and most spicy flavours -Sensory overload happens pretty easily, so she wears her visor and other headgear pretty much all the time to tune out bright lights and loud noises Backstory-related -Born to a poor family living in Hyderabad, India. -Growing up in the wake of the Omnic crisis was tough, and there were many days when Satya and her younger brothers had to go without meals or split one meal between the three of them. Her parents worked long hours and were rarely home, so she spent most of her childhood alone, wandering the city streets near their home and drawing/tracing geometric patterns onto whatever surface she could find. -Her parents never understood a lot of her behaviours and tended to leave her alone, which eventually ended up suiting both parties. Satya never felt at home with her family and disliked the chaos and poverty she was born into, so she spent most of her childhood alone. -The Vishkar Corporation began to gain prominence during her childhood, and when she was eight, two Vishkar employees arrived on her doorstep, requesting that she come with them and be trained in the ways of hard-light manipulation. As much as it broke their hearts, her parents knew that they could not support her and her brothers for much longer, so they willingly gave her up to Vishkar. -When she arrived at the Vishkar headquarters in Utopaea, she was immediately pushed into the training program with the other prospective architechs. When her teachers first noticed her off behaviours, they subjected her to intense rounds of social reconditioning through speech therapy and occupational therapy until she learned to suppress the behaviours they deemed unacceptable. While Vishkar was accommodating of some things, like her sensory sensitivities, a lot of her behaviours were treated negatively and forcibly suppressed -Life growing up in the Vishkar compound was very lonely for her, since she could never work up the courage to talk to the other children training there, and they avoided her due to her bluntness and odd behaviour. Her 'therapy' was also extremely taxing at times, so she spent extensive periods of time alone recuperating and practicing her hard-light bending. When she wasn't practicing, she spent a lot of her time watching movies and drawing patterns and architectural designs in her sketchbooks. At around age 12 her left arm was surgically removed and replaced by a prosthetic on the behest of her superiors, something she found a little unnerving, but adjusted to in time -She graduated from the Vishkar architech academy at age 18 and immediately began working for the company in various locations around India. Her superiors, however, saw more potential in her, and eventually began sending her out on clandestine missions to uphold their corporate interests and expand their influence into other countries. Satya was hesitant at first, but willingly took up the position and was sent on her first mission at age 21. -In later years, Vishkar's actions abroad led to her questioning the fidelity of their claims that they were making the world a better place. She is still loyal to Vishkar, but is beginning to doubt that their motives are aligned with hers. Stupid/miscellaneous headcanons -Plays a lot of Animal Crossing in her spare time -Normally eats pretty healthy, but there are days where she lives off of microwave meals and coffee in order to get work done -She sometimes gets phantom pains from her missing limb, and will spend extended periods of time in her office trying to deal with them -Prefers communicating through writing or digital media when possible, but finds it frustrating since she finds it harder to interpret the tone of the messages -If left to her own devices, she’ll either keep working on some hard light project (Satya really needs to get a life outside her work), reading, or staring out her office window and watching the streets of Utopaea. -In terms of books, she’s a huge fan of high fantasy, science fiction and poetry. -Satya is fluent in English and Hindi, but her first language was Telugu, which she hasn’t used frequently since her childhood in Hyderabad, so her knowledge of the language is fading.
