Colour change of Lonar crater lake

A 56,000 years old Lonal crater lake sanctuary has recently transformed from blue- green algae colour to pinkish colour.

Highlights-

The lake having a diameter of 500 kms situated in East of Mumbai, is formed due to meteorite hit and is now a famous tourist hub.
