as a kid, I walked into a closet, saw an enormous snake, and then walked out. I walked up to my dad, as you do, and said "dad there's a huge snake in the closet"

so he smiled smugly, grabbed his knife (I think it was a machete?), walked off, and then I heard him scream followed shortly by three panicked slams

it turns out he didn't actually think he'd find a huge snake in there, but it sure was there, and he sure did chop it into three pieces

Did Sasuke ever contacted Sakura and Sarada tho? Because if he did, why doesn't Sarada knew of him? Why was Sakura miserable? I disagree that Sasuke is a bad father, I still stand he doesn't want to be one or prepared some years ago. But I genuinely think the whole point of Gaiden was to show Sasuke not being able to be there for his family.

The whole point of Gaiden is to piss off SasuSaku haters and also try to make it as believable as possible (Kishimoto is the one that stated this indirectly, but I am not exactly sure where I heard it from). I'm not denying the fact that he doesn't *see* his family, but there's no way that he doesn't *call* his wife once in a while to ask how she and his precious daughter are.
