You looked around your room. “What a mess” you thought. You looked in the mirror at the corner of your room. “Total mess”

-I’m not sure sun, I’m not feeling great today

-oh, well feel well soon babe!

And then he went offline, did he just want to leave you alone like that?

You were sat on your sofa, watching a new kdrama that just came out, when you heard your door bell ring.

You walked over to the door and checked who it was. Outside your door stood Sunoo, with three bags and a big smile on his face.

You opened the door “Hey Sun”

“Bubble! I’ve missed you!” He said, giving you a tight hug. “Sit back down and I’ll come join you in a bit!”

He sat down with two cups of tea and with a big fluffy blenket. You told him all about your day, and everything that had happened. Wile you were talking, he was sitting next to you the whole time staying quiet. When you were done talking, he stayed quiet and gave you a hug.

“Thank you Babe, I really needed to get this out”

“No problem bubb, I’m always here” he said, and kissed your forehead.

This was just one of the many reasons why you loved being with Sunoo, and you couldn’t way for many more to come.

“hey babe,” you whisper to your boyfriend while he’s busy gaming with his friends, your hands traveling from his gaming chair to his chest in a slow manner, your chin resting on top of his head. you wouldn’t be able to understand how whipped the boy is for you, himself wrapped around your pretty finger as goosebumps appear along his neck. 

he hums in return, too scared to respond since he’s afraid he’d stutter, and because his friends could hear your conversation. after a while, you place a small kiss on his head before letting go of the boy, returning to his bed to resume watching tiktoks. his head whips to your direction immediately. 

“where are you going??” he whines, spinning his chair so you could see his puppy eyes practically begging you to come back. even with the hoodie he wore, he still missed the warmth you gave him. 

“to bed?” you answer like the question was obvious (it was), pointing your finger to his mattress as you tilt your head in confusion. 

“come backk..” he whines again, setting his controllering on his lap to make grabby hands at you. you shake your head, pointing to his headset. 

“you’re playing with your friends, baby. i’ll still be right here when you finish,” respectfully, he didn’t give a shit about his friends at that moment, not when he missed his pretty girl’s presence. his bottom lip is dropped to a pout and you instantly give in, throwing your phone somewhere as you climb up the chair, straddling taki’s lap.

he hears you mutter about how much of a baby he was, but he doesn't care, his hands rubbing circles on your back as you stuff your face into his neck. if anything, he was a happy baby.

“ah, are you lovebirds done arguing now?” yuma’s voice echoes from taki’s headphones, a teasing chuckle leaving his lips. 

“shut up,” taki responds before continuing, “my girl is sleeping.” 

the words manage to make you blush, yuma to snort, and taki to grin.  “whatever you say, lover boy.”

You rolled over and checked the time 02:35.

It had been difficult to fall asleep for the last few weeks. It surprised you just how bad the breakup had messed you up. It became harder to fall asleep and wake up. You no longer knew what you wanted to do with your days. And your friends kept mentioning how you smiled less.

Your main problem was, why did the breakup happen? Just the week before everything had seamed great, just amazing. How and when did it go wrong? you just didn't know.

Your friends had asked you to talk with them about it, even his friends had asked you to talk with them about it. "It's never suposed to be an easy goodbye" they would say. "You were together for almost three years over all" they would say, as if you weren't aware of that already. How did they think that telling you things you already knew was going to make the breakup simpler to get over? But you didn't want to talk to your friends, let alone his friends. There was only one person that could help you move on.

Jake

the person who broke up with you. the person who left without another word and slamed your door. Was it really that easy for him? acording to his friends he hasn't been this happy since before you started dating. It was almost like you were the problem, as if you were stopping him in some form of way. But you cept thing how would that be fair on you? you were both starting arguments and being petty at times, how were you the only one to blame?

You desided to get up and go get something to drink, you were unable to sleep anyway. Even your own home became foreign. The sofa you used to cudle on now empty. The kitchen that was once filled with different sounds and smells from early in the day to late at night. And everytime you were suposed to sleep, you felt alone, the bed now too big, the space where he once slept now cold and abandoned. It sucked, it really did.

And just when you felt your head fog and the feeling of lonelyness filled your senses, you heard a knock. It wasn't a really loud knock, or a knock that sounded inportant. But it sounded familiar. You checked the time again, 02:50. Who knocks on someones door at almost three in the morning? You desided first to ignrone it, but then the person on the other side knocked again. And you couldn't help but feel like you had heard the knock before. So you decided to open the door.

You walked twards the door, feeling kind of uneasy. "maybe i should just ignore it" you thoght. but your body betrayed you, opening the door before you could think another thing. And right before you, stood the one person you thoght that you were never going to hear from again.

Jake

"Hey"

Hey? how could he just show up to your door and just say hey? after what he put you through? There he was, scratching that supid neck and with that dum smile plastered on his supid face. what did he want?

"Can we talk?" he asked.

without saying a word you moved to the side and let him in. You walked to the sofa and sat down, not caring if he followed you or not.

"Ok, listen. I know that I might not have left on the best note ever, but I need you to hear me out" He took your lack of awnser as a keep going. "I know I said that I didn't want tjis anymore. But I just can't help but regret everything that I said. I keep telling the guys that life is greater now, that it was for the better that we broke up, but I miss you, I miss us." His eyes started to tear up. "I won't beg, and i'm not going to stay. Unless you want me to."

You stared at eachother for a wile, not knowing what to say. So Jake tok teh chance to add on

"B-because I really want to."

You stood nervously backstage at Music Bank, rattling with the script for the show. The bright lights and bustling atmosphere always made your heart race, whenever you and your group had to advertise your new comeback. you'd always find yourself pitying the poor MCs, who have to remember every line by heart, have to learn the dance to every single song, the poor guys have to have the mind of an elephant.

however, today was worse than usual, not because you forgot the lines or a dance move, today was your debut as of the Music Banks MCs, and not only that. You were debuting with the one and only Ni-ki from enhypen.

as you glanced from the side of your eyes, you spotted Ni-ki sitting calmly scrolling through his phone with a monotonous look on his face. curse him for being so nonchalant, while inside you were breaking down.

what if you forget your lines? what if you mess up the group's choreo? what if you talk over their leader? or accidentally say something rude? just as your brain was spiraling into an anxious turmoil, ni-ki gently tapped your shoulder.

"hey, you ready?" he asks as if he noticed your nervousness.

mustering all the confidence you could, you look up at him nodding with a graceful smile. "mhm, just a bit nervous. what about you?"

he chuckled, eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm okay. don't stress okay? you'll do great, and since we're new they'll have room for forgiveness. so just follow my lead, alright?"

As the show began, you found yourself recalling the lines from memory yet making it sound so natural as if you didn't have a script. as time progressed, you could see yourself falling into a comfortable rhythm with ni-ki. due to his playful energy, harmless banter was tossed every now and then making the members of the group giggle.

between different segments, you found yourself laughing more and more since he would stop spewing out silly jokes, and you couldn't help but feel the warmth growing in your chest.

weeks passed with this chemistry, one that people have never seen on music bank, not chemistry this strong. with every interaction between you two, the edits grew, and fans began to pick out the way he looked at you. whenever he joked around how his eyes would look at yours to see your reaction. how before he would respond he would wait for you to say something first. you couldn't go a day without seeing social be filled with clips of the two of you.

one day, after the show had finished recording, you sat alone in the studio wanting to take a breather before heading back home. Ni-ki was walking around the building looking for you in hopes of potential progression in your relationship.

"hey," he said sweetly before taking a seat beside you. "you were amazing today."

as if you read his mind, you graced him with a smile and a gentle blush on your cheeks. " thanks, ki. you always make it so easy."

he turned to you with a smile, "i'm glad. you know, i really enjoy working with you, there’s no one else i rather have than you to be my partner."

your eyes widened, taken aback by his claim. "actually? awh ki, i thought you were just being nice."

with his eyes boring into yours, he shakes his head. "no, i mean it. whenever'm with you... i feel brighter. it's like you light up the room."

you look away, unable to meet his gaze.

he reaches out, gently taking your hand into his. "look at me will you?"

and within a second your eyes are back on his.

"would you like to spend more time together? outside of work?" he asks with a slight glimmer in his eyes.

"like a date?" you ask with hope.

"yea, like a date."

"i'd love that ki. in complete honesty, i've fallen for you." you say, with your heart pounding.

he grinned, pulling you into his chest, in a tight embrace.

from that day onwards, your bond only deepened. nowadays, you spend most of your nights in each other's dorms cuddling under the covers as a movie plays in the background. either that or late-night convenience store runs. but it's not like you'd have it any other way.

Thinking about — having moved into an apartment together with Riki. After having dated for a long enough time, Riki initiated the thought of moving in together, wanting to take your Relationship to another level — he already knew that he wanted to be with you forever and grow old with you , and so did you. It took a couple months to find the right apartment and to get it since there was competition for some of the apartments that the two of you liked after having taken a look at it. It was like a dream come true for him — and now that everything was settled , he couldn't be any happier. The apartment was almost completely decorated , new furniture had already been built and the only thing that needed to be done was finish up unpacking your stuff. But only was it when he walked into the kitchen and was met by your back facing him when the realization hit that the two of you were now actually living together , his heart feeling all warm and fuzzy. "Why are you up baby?", his arms circled around your waist as he hugged you from behind , his chin resting on your shoulder as he turned his head a little — pressing a featherlight kiss on the revealed skin of your shoulder , the t-shirt you wore a little too big on your body as it was his. "I wanted a midnight snack", your voice was quiet and soft as you spoke , a light chuckle coming from him as he pulled your back firm against his chest — his warm hand sliding under your shirt to rub your belly gently. "Mind sharing with me..?", he mumbled , his fingertips tickling your skin as he moved his hand back — adjusting your shirt a little before putting his hand on your waist over the fabric of the shirt. "You know that I don't mind", you replied softly , putting your hand over his before you turned around to face him. "Why are you up?".

"I didn't feel you next to me anymore in bed and I'm kind of too excited to sleep.. I don't know , this feels so surreal to me for some reason, like as if this is just a really good dream I'm having", Riki replied softly , moving his hand up to gently cup your face , leaning his head down to rest his forehead against yours while he gazed into your eyes. "If this is a dream you're having , then this will be a dream you'll never wake up from", you grinned , leaning up to peck his nose before you grabbed his hand — your other hand grabbing the bowl of fruits that you had cut up, you were in the mood for something sweet yet refreshing as a midnight snack. "Come on.. let's go back to bed..", right , not just any bed — it wasn't yours or his bed , is was the bed from the two of you in your shared bedroom in your shared apartment.
